bills coaches pay for errors in front office

Blame everything because eventually you will be right. That is the principle at work all over this country and OBD is no exception -
Good, I'm not the only one who noticed that

Bannan was extremely underrated and over criticized here in Buffalo. I'd take him in our DL rotation over McCargo and Bryan anyday. Leonhard was a hard worker, made some good plays and plenty of bad plays. But still it goes to show what a solid supporting cast can do for a roleplayer type

What about a Chinese restaurant owner?

I'd love to give LeBeau the opportunity to come to Buffalo and run the show...but he's not going to leave Pittsburgh Grimm would be a solid choice along with Spagnolo

Looking at a used snowmobile, any tips?
WVUFootball29 replied to yall's topic in Off the Wall Archives
As a rider I would definitely suggest looking at something newer for many reasons. One, an 89 is going to be pretty beat up, especially if the engine has been rebuilt. Two the older models are a pain in the butt when it comes to keeping them running. Three, the suspensions between a 89 and 96 are worlds apart. My first sled was a92 Vmax and later that winter I got a steal of a deal on a98 skidoo mxz. The suspension on the 98 was amazing. I could finally ride most of the day without the aches and pains and back jars that I would get from the Yamaha. However, if you're really looking to get something cheap like this. Make sure the track is in good condition and not cracked or missing rubber anywhere. Also check the play with the steering, make sure the killswitch and handlebar warmers(if they are even on it) are both working. Also, have the owner show you how to start it, sounds silly, but the older sleds all had little quirks when it comes to getting them running. All I can think of off the top of my head. Looks like we are going to get a good winter for riding for change. can't wait til the trails open -
Preston as the long-term backup Center?
WVUFootball29 replied to 2020 Our Year For Sure's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always thought Ostrowski was a pretty good Center until he broke his leg. His performance at RG was just dreadful...I mean even worse the Duke Preston at RG -
should pay Bernard Pollard's fine

scouts inc on Ellis prior to the draft Strengths Quick, anticipates snap counts fairly well and flashes the ability to disrupt running plays behind the line of scrimmage. Takes adequate angles to the ball, plays with a good motor and makes some plays in pursuit. Is fast enough to turn the corner, has above-average but not elite closing speed and is a relentless pass rusher. Can change directions quickly and is capable of developing effective double moves. Wraps up upon contact and is a sound open field tackler that Flashes the ability to deliver the big hit. Tall enough to add bulk up and should get stronger at the point of attack. Weaknesses Undersized and is vulnerable to wearing down if asked to play an every-down role. Plays a little too high, doesn't have great lower body strength and is going to struggle to anchor when teams run at him. Doesn't deliver a powerful punch and can take too long to shed blocks. Relies on burst too much, doesn't do a great job of setting offensive tackles up to the outside before redirecting inside and isn't capable of regularly beating double teams. Lacks ideal awareness and doesn't always get hands up when isn't going to get to the quarterback. Charged with obstructing an officer in late September 2006 and Virginia Tech suspended him for the Georgia Tech game as a result. Underwent shoulder surgery to repair torn labrum in right shoulder in 2003, slowed by shoulder injury during 2006 season, he missed 2007 spring practices after undergoing shoulder surgery and his durability is a concern. Overall Ellis was redshirted in 2003. In his next three seasons (2004-'06), he appeared in 38 games (21 starts) and registered 112 tackles (27 for losses) and 13.5 sacks. As a senior in 2007, he started all 14 games and posted 53 tackles (nine for losses), 8.5 sacks, a forced fumble, an interception (which he returned five yards for a touchdown) and five pass breakups. Ellis sat out 2007 spring drills after having surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. He had the same surgery in October of his redshirt freshman year ('03). He also suffered a right shoulder sprain in 2006 but played through the injury. In 2006, he was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. Ellis' injury history and problems anchoring against the run make him a fringe first day pick but he's got the frame to add some weight and get stronger at the point of attack so there's a lot to like about his upside in a one-gap scheme. In addition, he has the burst and top-end speed to make an immediate impact as a situational pass rusher. I keep seeing 4.7 ranges as his 40 time, but that shoulder injury and the lack of push I've seen from him is a concern. Shoulder injuries to lineman are like lower body injuries to RBs. Without strong shoulders its hard to get a good push and shed/make blocks. His trouble against the run would lead me to believe he would not be a good converted LB outside of a 34 pass rusher role

11-5... when has that ever not been enough?
WVUFootball29 replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IF there is a way to stay out of the playoffs at 11-5 the Bills will be the team to find a way to do it. Just our luck -
so apparently they are still cheating this year?
-
right coach, right system, right players = W's We can call him Bellicheat til we are blue in the face, he is still a great coach and he puts the right players into the right system and fields a very strong team year in, year out. You can't cheat in the draft

Do the Bills Draft a ...............................
WVUFootball29 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Van Pelt was drafted by the Steelers then signed by KC then signed by the Bills in 94. -
I've not seen anything from Willy that shows pro potential. Has he won a few games late? yeah, but like I said, its highly unlikely that he gets drafted. He's no Roth or Pennington.
