  1. NFL.com did an article about the best brother tandems in the history of the NFL http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true I thought I'd bring the list and the conversation here. Who do you think should have been on this list, who do you think is the best tandem? 10. Thomas and Julius Jones 9. Champ and Boss Bailey 8. Jamie and Darren Sharper 7. Randall and Sam Cunningham 6. Dale Carter and Jake Reed 5. William and Michael Dean Perry 4. Ronde and Tiki Barber 3. Shannon and Sterling Sharpe 2. Bruce and Clay Matthews 1. Peyton and Eli Manning Personally, I think the Bahr's Chris and Matt should have made this list. Two of the best placekickers of their day
  2. In most states no because it is a handicapped device. Unless of course you didn't actually need it for mobility then yes you could. However, I will say a case of beer and a Rascal scooter can provide an evening of entertainment
  3. the overpayment of draftee's is why the NFL needs to adopt a rookie salary structure similar to that of the NHL. While it would be for bigger money, it still would keep unproven players from making more than future HoFers to start. Let them prove they are worth the money
  4. didn't we already have one there?
  5. Its possible, but I don't think anyone is going to take a flyer on him that early. My guess would be early 3rd round would be the earliest he goes
  6. Direct from the article. I've yet to hear anything about him working out in NE. Found an article that stated he did in fact workout for Denver and Pats*
  7. I would recommend plyometrics and spending more time focusing on running mechanics rather than spending the money on the chutes. While they do work, you still need to develop the running mechanics to make them effective. Also, a great bargain now are the Don Beebe House of Speed training tapes. http://store.houseofspeed.com/c-2-videos.aspx Also, spend some time in the weight room working on hip flexors, ankle flexibility and abs all of which have an impact on sprinting.
  8. I'm more concerned about him in the backfield with Brown and Williams in Miami Great character guy, very likable genuine person who loves football. He wasn't the greatest passer at WVU, but he took significant strides this year as a QB and has a lot of upside when throwing the ball. I'd compare him more towards Seneca Wallace or Kordell Stewart, but much faster than Stewart.
  9. Ah how I miss the politics of high school sports. Sadly, it was pretty similar in college as well, at least in JC
  10. http://www.da.wvu.edu/show_article.php?story_id=42205 Pat White put on 20 lbs since the Senior Bowl and showed a lot of downfield zip and improved footwork during his pro day. White asked scouts after working out at QB if they would like to see him at WR and there were no takers. I think he's a great day 2 prospect who could be productive in the NFL, especially if his throwing mechanics are improved. While he's projected by many as a Wildcat QB, and I would be afraid to see what he could do in that position, I think with some time under his belt he could develop into a solid QB and possibly a game changer in the right offensive set up.
  11. High character just doesn't cut it in the sports world. You need to get him hanging out with the wrong crowd to get that mean streak and then the college scholarship. Just kidding man, I wish him all the luck in the world. I was the laid back kid during high school sports who didn't get much attention until I was finally given a chance as a senior. Hit .325 that year
  12. NFL.com blog reporting 20 reps http://blogs.nfl.com/category/pro-days/
  13. Dog's Eye View - Happy Nowhere Splender - Halfway Down The Sky
  14. IF TBD rated users by quality posts, there would be a lot more rookies and UDFAs
  15. Good blocker and special teams player...has worse hands than Robert Royal
  16. Do you read anything or do you just get bits and pieces? I never at any point said that Rich Rod was clean at WVU and didn't bring in thugs. I actually said that WAS what he was doing. As for Miami, while they have cleaned up their act under Randy Shannon, they still have had their share post 80s era. Bryant McKinnie's Love Boat is the first to come to mind, but I know you're going to tell me that was no big deal all he was doing was having sex.... Brandon Marti http://miamiherald.typepad.com/umiami/2009...i-arrested.html was arrested on charges of battery, but that's not a thug because he wasn't a starter Then there are these 2, but they were from 1996 so I'm sure that won't count in your mind either.... http://old.mndaily.com/articles/1996/07/05/892 http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html...ty%20of%20Miami But I'll throw in Willie Williams too just for the fun of it http://www.fanblogs.com/louisville/007174.php And now I'm really gonna strike a nerve when I bring up Sean Taylor's run ins http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Taylor#Controversies
  17. Certain buildings are blurred, I know the power plant in Dunkirk is blurred out and for a good reason. Military bases, power plants another buildings that have a strong hold in national security and infastructure should not be detailed on Google Earth. This could be a very useful tool when plotting any sort of attack
  18. Unfortunately that is pretty much the case. Not all the athletes he's brought in are that way though. Steve Slaton and Pat White are 2 very intelligent and well mannered athletes. The guys on the offensive and defensive lines were usually good guys as well. But when it comes to WR and DB all that's asked is they are fast and they know what a football looks like. If you look at the DBs at WVU over the past 6 years or so you'll see that most are just fast guys with a lot of athletic ability, but have no clue how to defend. Not all are this way, but its quite the trend at this positions at WVU
  19. I knew both of them, I was a Sport Management grad at WVU. We had a lot of athletes in our classes plus the fact that our classrooms were in the Colesium (basketball arena) we were always in close proximity to the athletes. Jones and Henry were just as bad at WVU as they have been in the NFL. Couple of wanna-be thugs that Rich Rod brought in. However, I have to disagree and say that Miami is still Thug U. Look at what has come out of there vs. WVU and you tell me where the thugs are at. However, with Miami's program in decline, they aren't the Thug U they were a few years ago, not sure what school is going to take over with that monniker, but my prediction is Michigan unless Rich Rod gets canned in the next few years.
  20. We won't know that until September. We also need to fill holes at TE and OL so I don't think this draft screams defense so much as it suggests it
