Brian Brohm is the 2008 version of Colt McCoy. Take that as you will, but Brohm was a 2nd round pick that we picked up for free so let's not cast any stones just yet.
Cutler would have been a mass improvement over Fitzedwards....Cutler to TO would have been nice. Instead its Cutler to Johnny Knox....what a waste of a QB
Changes are needed, but that wasn't the topic at hand. This team has been mediocre for the better part of 10 years yet we still have fewer blackouts than during the Super Bowl years. Tickets are selling regardless of the product on the field, so no I don't see the Bills roping off seats anytime soon like the Jags
Eh, the savings on gas at my Sam's is only about 5 cents. Depending on how far out of the way you have to drive I don't think this should be much of a factor
I bet if we send a late pick to Seattle we can get the rights to Jones. He'd be better than what we already have for next year. Plus we can get Runyan and have the most experienced tackles in the league..../sarcasm
If we were playing 2nd and 3rd string Offensive line then yes letting go of Copeland would have been a horrible move. 16 tackles and a sack in 15 games last year isn't really blockbuster production that we gave up. He's not even the starter in Detroit if that tells us anything.
the biggest problem with this defense, and the Cover 2 in general, is that you need to have a great 4 man pass rush for it to be its most effective. As we have seen too many times over the past 4 seasons is that the Bills have a very hard time getting to the QB when they rush only 4. Maybin was supposed to help with this, but hasn't seen much playing time and is still a work in progress.
Slaton started a bit slow this year, but has really showed up the past few weeks. I'll admit when he left for the NFL, I thought he had made a huge mistake because he was not playing all that well in college that last year and was looking to be a 3rd down back. He proved me wrong and is doing a good job to help get other WVU RBs some looks from scouts.
The Big East battle will be one of the best in the nation this year and will help show just how good the conference really is becoming at football.
