Gotta have an emergency plan in case Fitz goes down. Hamdan with Parrish in reserve would not be a good way to go into a game.

If we were playing 2nd and 3rd string Offensive line then yes letting go of Copeland would have been a horrible move. 16 tackles and a sack in 15 games last year isn't really blockbuster production that we gave up. He's not even the starter in Detroit if that tells us anything.

the biggest problem with this defense, and the Cover 2 in general, is that you need to have a great 4 man pass rush for it to be its most effective. As we have seen too many times over the past 4 seasons is that the Bills have a very hard time getting to the QB when they rush only 4. Maybin was supposed to help with this, but hasn't seen much playing time and is still a work in progress.

John has anything even been released about the injury? At this point all I've heard is day to day. Granted I'm sure we'll hear more about it tomorrow.

Slaton started a bit slow this year, but has really showed up the past few weeks. I'll admit when he left for the NFL, I thought he had made a huge mistake because he was not playing all that well in college that last year and was looking to be a 3rd down back. He proved me wrong and is doing a good job to help get other WVU RBs some looks from scouts. The Big East battle will be one of the best in the nation this year and will help show just how good the conference really is becoming at football.

But I thought we picked an injured DB who wasn't going to contribute this year??? Isn't that what you were preaching daily all off season?
