  1. At this point Jesus Christ descending to coach the Bills won't impress half the fan base.
  2. I'm beginning to think we need an English Comprehension class here at TSW.
  3. the fans are always right...just ask them
  4. Smith played in the last 6 games of the year with 1 start. He was injured most of the year with a foot injury. Prior to that, he was a holdout until August 30th then injured himself in a noncontact drill on the 2nd of September. He came into camp out of shape and hurt himself, just like most teams feared.
  5. From Scouts, Inc. "Came into 2009 fall camp overweight and was demoted to the second team for the first week of practice. Also was suspended for the first quarter of the 2009 Army game for being late to a team lunch." Doesn't sound like weight is as much of a problem for him as last year's Andre Smith. He's the 12th ranked player in this draft according to Scouts Inc and the #3 OT behind Okung and Williams. He would not be a bad pick and even at 9 Buffalo stands to be able to pickup a great player with their 1st pick. Top 15 prospects per Scouts Inc: Eric Berry Ndamukong Suh Gerald McCoy Joe Haden Derrick Morgan Rolando McClain Russell Okung Trent Williams C.J. Spiller Dez Bryant Sam Bradford Anthony Davis Earl Thomas Navorro Bowman Sergio Kindle We'll get one of those guys
  6. Very true, but the victims own father has said that the hit never happened and that the coach grabbed his son's shoulder pads while talking to him to lift his spirits. The player in question is sophomore RB Joel Miller who had probably been benched after getting an illegal block penalty and poor special teams play vs. Louisville.
  7. Accused of slapping a player during halftime
  8. high street, morgantown, WV Thursday through saturday nights To clear the air early, I'm not pushing Leavitt for HC or anything, but the guy should at least get some NFL consideration in a coaching position.
  9. maybe I should have posted another cowher thread to get a conversation going?
  10. Jim Leavitt became the third coach fired this year after a player reports mistreatment. Quick bio on Jim: Played for Missouri from 1974-1978 Became defensive coordinator for University of Dubuque in 1980 Joined Morningside College in 1982 as a special teams coordinator and DC Joined Kansas State in 1990 as a LB coach and promoted to DC/LB coach in 1992 turning a fledgling defense into one of the top rated D's in NCAA In 1995 he left K State to start the program at USF where he recruited for a year 1997 USF enters NCAA 1AA ranks and goes 27-17 from 1997 to 2000 The Bulls move up to 1A (FBS) as an Independent and go 17-5 USF joins Conference USA and accumulate a record of 11-11 before joining the Big East in 2005 From 2005-2009, USF goes 40-24 with 5 bowl appearances and 3 wins To me those are pretty impressive credentials, especially for building a winning program in Florida when you have to recruit against schools like Miami, Florida, Florida State with long standing traditions and winning records. As a WVU fan I can tell you that his defenses are very very tough to beat with USF upsetting WVU on a few occasions, especially shattering our National Title chances in 2007 after shutting down Pat White and Steve Slaton. I feel the guy should get a look from NFL coaches looking to fill a DC position or at the very least a LB coach.
  11. So his high school plays on youtube are supposed to be a barometer of his abilities vs. his moderate success in WVU's run happy offense???? Devine could very well be the next Sproles, but he could very well be the next Travis Henry. He already has 4 kids with different baby mama's. He is a good back, but he'll be limited just like Roscoe Parrish, in what he can do in the NFL.
  12. We haven't even signed the guy yet. There are still other coaches we are waiting to interview who are still playing right now. Stay off the ledge for another week or two then jump
  13. Wait til at least the 6th to grab Devine. Fast and shifty, I don't think his one cut moves will take him as far in the NFL. He is strong for a little guy though being able to bench over 400lbs. Definitely don't let Lynch and Devine room together.
  14. Rich Hofmann of the Philadelphia Daily News is speculating that this playoff season is make of break for McNabb in Philly. He believes that the Eagles not extending McNabb, but giving him a raise this season was letting him know he needs to make something happen or else he is out and Kolb is in. I think he may be onto something here, if McNabb is dropped or the trade block this season, should Buffalo make a move for him? I believe that given our current state at QB and lacking a veteran starter for many years I think that if McNabb becomes available that we should try making a move to get him. While not a long term solution, he would be the best option available in regards to the current free agents and the upcoming draft. Thoughts?
  15. At least they are in a position where they can hold off a little bit. No other teams are talking new HC's right now and some other coaches are unavailable due to playoff commitments. Right now Buffalo is in position to snag a good coach who really wants the job vs. having to contend with other teams.
  16. At what point watching Lynch pass block and whiff did you think he could run block?
  17. He's lucky enough that missing the combine won't really harm his draft stock like some other prospects
  18. If a guy drops the ball, how is that the coaches fault? If we kicked inopportune onsides kicks or something like that, then yes you'd have a valid point.
  19. Only thing that would make this better is Modrak and Guy dragged behind the team bus on the way out of town
