  1. I doubt we see Lynch moved prior to the draft. If he does get moved it is going to be after Spiller and Matthews come off the board and a team gets desperate for a RB
  2. gotta agree with tate, looks to be the steal of the draft right now
  3. Well it's draft time again and I've got the itch to do some writing so I decided to rank the top 5 players at each position in this years draft. We start out with running backs and wide receivers tonight. RB 1. Ryan Matthews – Fresno In my opinion the best every down back available in this draft, Matthews ended his career with 3280 yards and 39 TDs. He has good size and hits the hole with a good burst. However, he has had a history of minor injuries that have kept him off the field at various points in his collegiate career. Also lacks breakaway speed, but possesses adequate speed for an every down back. 2. CJ Spiller – Clemson The anti-thesis to Matthews, Spiller is a home run threat every time he touches the ball. He possesses great speed and elusiveness, and is active in the passing game. However, he does not have the typical size/bulk of an every down back and may be relegated to a Reggie Bush type role in the NFL. 3. Jahvid Best – Cal Very similar to Spiller in his speed and elusiveness, however he is coming off a down year in college and has a history of getting banged up and missing time. He also lacks the size and strength teams covet in feature backs and would probably be a situational player in the NFL 4. Dexter McCluster – Ole Miss 2010 is the year of the scat back with another top RB prospect being an under-sized, speedy guy. McCluster’s stock has also dropped with a poor 40 time at the Combine. McCluster is also a skilled receiver and kick returner which adds to his value. 5. Ben Tate – Auburn A lot of people forget about Ben Tate because he isn’t the flashiest of backs, but he is the second best every down back in the draft. Tate’s Combine numbers alone should have him ranked right up there with Spiller and Matthews, however, having split time most of his college career and enduring multiple offensive scheme changes at Auburn, he never had the chance to really put up the numbers he is capable of. Tate looks to be a real steal in the 3rd to 5th round range for a team needing a strong back. WR 1. Dez Bryant – Oklahoma State Even after missing the final 10 games of the 2009 season due to lying to an NCAA investigator, Bryant is still the top WR prospect in the draft. A big target with 4.5 speed, Bryant posted 19 TDs and nearly 1500 yards in 2008. Very durable athlete who makes plays, Bryant will make any QB a happy man in a few weeks. However, there are still lingering questions about his maturity and work ethic, and he will need to become a better route runner to succeed in the NFL. 2. Demaryius Thomas – Georgia Tech Another big target WR, Thomas has the edge in speed over Bryant. More of a straight line runner who blows by his coverage, Thomas will also have to focus on improving his route running. A foot injury at the Combine has forced Thomas into a late pro day of April 18th, just 4 days before the draft. If he can so prototypical speed and better cuts on his routes, we might just see him pass Bryant as the first WR taken in 2010. 3. Arrelious Benn – Illinois Benn is the prototypical WR prospect that scouts and coaches look for. Fair size and good speed, Benn not only contributes on offense, but as a return man as well. Sub 4.5 speed and amazing hands, Benn reminds me of Eric Moulds. He’s still a bit raw with his routes and needs to work on getting separation, but should see plenty of time on offense and special teams his first season in the NFL. 4. Golden Tate – Notre Dame Golden Tate is coming off his most productive year with nearly 1500 yards and 15 TDs for the Irish. A small, but strong receiver, Tate is probably one of the better route runners of the top WR prospects. However, he lacks elite top speed and it takes him a while to get to full speed. He’s not a consistent deep threat, but looks to make his living underneath coverage and coming out of breaks getting separation. 5. Damian Williams – USC Good speed, great separation skills, and a solid route runner sum up Williams’ skills on the field. What most people don’t realize is that Williams is touted as the consummate team player and leader off the field. Durability is a concern with Williams has he has missed time with some serious shoulder injuries.
  4. Guys like Bush, Spiller, Slaton, Sproles all have their place in the NFL don't get me wrong, but as feature backs they tend to be lacking at the NFL level. Now, if you have a good OC who can find a way to get them separation and 1 on 1 matchups, then yes they can become game breakers. You have to put them out in space for them to be successful and get it into their heads early in their careers that those moves they relied on in college don't work at the next level.
  5. Whats Darick Holmes up to these days?
  6. Dante beat me to it. Antivirus soft and its clones are some of the biggest pain in the you know what viruses to get rid of on computers. I've had a few people bring them to me with it on it. Glad I found that malwarebytes is the fastest way to do it
  7. Nice, I bought my wife an 03 Avalon and she loves it. Don't care what anyone says Toyota makes a great car. Once you drive one you'll never stop 213000 on one radiator is pretty good, hopefully the dealer doesn't ding you too much on the price. Hope you have a great weekend home, we've got some beautiful weather ahead of us
  8. LOL, Lew I don't know what it is about Morgantown, but most people I know who have a car breakdown in WV it happens on the Morgantown stretch of 79.
  9. Not to be a complete @$$ here BNIH, but if you don't like mock drafts why click on a thread titled Bills 3 Round Mock Draft? Plenty of other threads to choose from, I think there may even be one on Tim Tebow
  10. This horse has been beating so many times I think its grandchildren can feel it. Next please.
  11. Heard about this late last night that Chris Kelsay was about to be released from his contract, but now I've been told that the Bills already have his replacement in Alex Brown from the Bears. Buffalo sent their 5th rounder this year and a conditional pick in the 2011 draft to Chicago to help them dump some salary. Rotoworld has the first proof of this trade so here is your link just so no one calls me a liar Buffalo Bills : Rotoworld.com - Buffalo Bills News from Rotoworld
  12. No sooner than the 4th.. preferably 5th or later. He's not a horrible QB and has a good strong arm with good speed. However, his accuracy is a bit lacking and rarely took any snaps from under center in college. Good project QB
  13. Man I'm sure glad someone pointed that out to the world before we drafted him....
  14. which is great for watching film and holding meetings. Watching MTV Cribs while bench pressing isn't an ideal work environment.
  15. thanks JW. Love this part here, "In a bid to provide a more businesslike atmosphere, Gailey has removed the TV sets from the Bills weightlifting room." Camp Jauron is no more. Get to work boys.
  16. He's being dangled because they have options to replace him already on the roster and Harbaugh isn't a fan of him. Trading a 2nd round pick away isn't that expensive compared to what we dropped for Losman and McCargo. the question is can we sign the guy beyond the 1 season? If we can, he's worth dropping a 2nd rounder. If an agreement on an extension can't be reached, then no it would be a bad trade. I know Gaither is lazy, that was the whole reason I didn't want Buffalo to grab him in the supplement draft back when. I saw him play plenty in college and I didn't think he had the necessary tools to make it in the NFL. He proved me wrong by becoming one of the better LTs in the league right now. The improvement would be night and day comparing Bell to Gaither. Now looking at the draft, if one of the top tackles happens to drop to 9, you take him since you know you're going to get a longer deal with them and pick up your NT later. However, if Williams, Okung, and Bulaga are gone, I don't see a tackle remaining in the draft that is going to come in and make an impact on the 2010 roster like Gaither would, you grab another valued pick to fill a hole and trade for JG. Again only making the trade when you know you'll have a good shot at resigning or extending his contract.
  17. I wouldn't call picking up a starting left tackle dumpster diving compared to many of the other suggestions of players to go after. Gaither is lacking in the discipline category, part of the reason why he ended up in the supplemental draft to begin with. However, the kid can play at a high level in the NFL and at a key position this team is trying to fill. One negative to getting Gaither is that if he signs his tender then is traded he's only under contract for a year and could move on. The bills would have to be damn sure that if they trade for him they can lock him up for a few seasons.
  18. Dan Williams at 9 and Jared Gaither with our 2nd...sounds like the makings of a great draft day experience
  19. Yeah picks like Reuben Brown, Mike Williams, Phil Hansen, John McCargo, etc were all merely attempts to sell tickets rather than produce on the field...
  20. It could be worse...We could have drafted Berry or Mays at 9 if Jauron was around
