  1. wasnt he a Center for a bunch of hockey teams???
  2. Antonio who??? I've never ever heard of him....he must be new. Oh wait I remember...signed him on Madden once. Seriously though, couple years ago...yeah I would have said that was crazy. oh, by the way...you do realize that Antonio Gates wasnt even drafted, its not like SD was expecting much out of him as you would someone with your 1st pick. Would you have picked Gates with the 8th pick that year? Also, Harrison had more yards and touchdowns. Davis has shown me nothing in college that makes me believe he is the second coming of Antonio Gates...other than his 40 time. I went to west virginia, I went to every Maryland game... I've seen him play. Reminds me of Kellen Winslow another tweener WR/TE. You're banking too much on a crap shoot at 8 with a tweener instead of a defensive leader in Michael Huff, a wall of a man on the DLine in Ngata, or a solid Tackle if by some act of God Ferguson drops to the 8 spot. If you think we really need a TE this draft Joe Klopfenstein out of Colorado is more of what the Bills need. He can block and catch and would be a great 3rd round pick should he fall to there. Otherwise Jeff King out of Virginia Tech is another one that can block and catch and would be great in the 6th of 7th.
  3. Hey, if he's going to be the Bills #1 pick, he'd better carry 3 OL into the backfield, sack the QB, then go sack his parents.
  4. Hahaha...we'll see BTW...where did I ever say his size was a disadvantage as a WR? That has nothing to do with it...other than his 40 time what makes you think he has the skill to play #1 wideout in the NFL? His hands? they've been questioned by all the scouts....his route running??? I find it hard to believe that someone who has played TE all through college is going to beat out Marvin Harrison, Eric Moulds, or Steve Smith when it comes to running routes.
  5. LMAO VD as a number one Receiver and TE???? You guys are great. Tell you what, if we get Vern and he turns out to be the number one receiver on this team, I will personally find a way to finance a new downtown stadium for the Bills in 2008. Seriously though...you people are getting delusional over a 40 time. :::whispers::: Mike Mamula
  6. You're from Jtown too??? ugh lucky us.
  7. I saw some of the WR workouts at the combine on TV. Austin didnt really impress me, especially in the guantlet drill. However, if everything else I've read on him in true he could be one of those character guys that fits Levy's system and might be worth a 6th or 7th round selection. I'm still not sold on Vernon Davis as an NFL TE just yet.... Reggie McNeal was the fastest QB with a 4.34
  8. Yes, no more picks from Texas....they are all just big fat softies with no heart to play football
  9. I agree there, but like others have said, it'll take a miracle to have D'Brick fall to 8. If he does though, we snag him in a heartbeat to whoever said they said this a month ago and got blasted, sorry I might not have seen your post.
  10. thanks that had a lot more of the stuff i'm looking for. these werent up the last time I checked NFL.com
  11. thanks mile...they had some of the stuff I was looking for...unfortunately, no one has the shuttle times and wonderlic scores... kinda hard to judge prospects on 40 times and bench alone
  12. Michael Huff's combine numbers should move him to the top of a lot of teams draftboards. I hope Buffalo follows suit. With the release of Lawyer Milloy and the possible release of Troy Vincent the Bills could use some solid talent at safey. right now, I would prefer Huff over Ngata with the 8th pick, mainly because of the depth at DT in this draft and the utility value of Huff (also has college experience at corner). Michael Huff at the Combine Height: 205 Weight: 6'1" 40 time: 4.34 Bench reps: 21 Vertical: 40.5"
  13. Anyone know where I can find a good list of each prospects combine stats? NFL.com is pretty weak on what they give you online and since Time Warner doesnt give us NFL network I only got to watch a short bit of the combine at work.
  14. Hmm..if we continue to over populate, I wonder if the government is going to add humans to hunting season? You know...thin em out like the deer populus.
  15. Its fun to watch, but man this commentator with the Cindy Brady lisp is driving me nutz
  16. Only an hour??? thats enough time for..........I wont say it, but just think if you had another 5 mins you could add the pickle juice at the end.
  17. that's the problem Albany...lack of math skills. That or the fact they'd love to pretend that it is Maria Sharapova writing to them.
  18. Well the new technology definatly helps, but buying a new driver every year doesnt make sense. I played my Firesole driver for about 4 or 5 years til I bought my R7 quad this past summer...my driving accuracy improved tremendously just by changing clubs. Also recorded a new long drive of about 345 yards....right into a greenside pond (I still stand by my story that a fish actually jumped out of the pond and caught my ball.) Irons on the otherhand havent really changed that much and their technological turnover rate is probably about 7-10 years before some company really makes a huge difference. There is really only so much you can do with an iron head...make the face a little thinner, the impact area a little broader, change the weighting to match swing tendencies. Basically I look at replacing clubs only when there has been a significant change in the club design, or when a club has worn out, or when I demo a club at a shop and it by far outperforms what is currently in my bag...and it fits my wallet. That being said...$2000 in clubs will never improve your game like $100 in lessons from a PGA pro. BTW post #400 for me...where has the time gone?
  19. Yawn...another Bledose Fatalist Think of it like this...who are you more likely to focus on as a defense? Price who caught over 1,000 yards or Josh Reed a second year guy moving over from the slot? Price kept the defenses honest where they couldnt just double cover Moulds every play because he could burn them. Reed has never been known for his blazing downfield speed. Killdrives passing offense was a vertical scheme, if you trade away the players that can get downfield, it pretty much makes this offense useless, which is exactly what happened and that is poor coaching to not adjust to the players in your system and poor management to trade away players that fit the offensive system and not bring in a replacement. Yes our line was horrid in 03, but the 02 line wasnt much better and we scored points. Yes we tapered off at the end, you would too if you were hit as many times as Bledsoe that year. But dont worry, Kelly Holcomb is here now and he'll save the day behind an even worse line because he knows how to throw the 3 yard out.
  20. Right now I'm thinking: Dallas, Houston, Jets, maybe Miami, Maybe Atlanta all these teams could use a tackle...just depends on who thinks they can turn MW around.
  21. Ugh...you're right..brain fart. Now I know its going to be a long night.....only 5.5 hours to go!!! Now I cant think of the other QB that I meant to say....wasnt Schaub even though he was the next one taken and that was in the late 3rd round
