  1. What do you guys think about that downtown dome stadium they are looking into? I thought it was supposed to be out near Batavia or Letchworth?
  2. Charlie Jones - I really enjoy listening to his voice - which was unique - and his calling a game and highlights on those old videos. Brings back many memories. Howard Cosell was must-see TV for a period of time. Of the current guys, Gus Johnson is a fun listen. Romo is fun to listen to as well. Madden was OK, but I never felt like he was as enjoyable to listen to as the above.
  3. The longer the Bills wait, the better their chances of getting the guy that will quit at halftime of the opener. Maybe preseason this time.
  4. The Browns haven’t won a title since 1964. For all intensive purposes, they haven’t won any titles to take away. That alone makes the joke funnier than watching several clowns emanating from a tiny vehicle.
  5. At least three classic ones in here: “They are who we thought they were” “You wanna crown ‘em, then crown their ass!” ”We let ‘em off the hook” http://youtu.be/SWmQbk5h86w
  6. I thought someone had finally started a thread all about meeeeeeeee
  7. “The county study did not consider the cost of replacing the stadium’s upper deck, which is generally believed to be in need of replacement in the next five to seven year. The state study pegged the replacement cost at $96 million, a figure the county now says is understated.” https://www.investigativepost.org/2022/03/30/stadium-rehab-costs-lower-than-advertised/
  8. There is no way to fix structural issues like the upper deck has without tearing it down and rebuilding. They have already put all the band aids they can safely engineer onto it. It would be a huge safety issue and liability to deal with. They can come out and play in the Dome here in Syracuse.
  9. Tremaine Edmunds breathes a sigh of relief…….
  10. 1980 Squish the Fish season opener. 1968 Beat the Jets, who went on to win the Super Bowl, for only win of the season. 4 INT TD returns including one for 100 yds. 1992 No Punt Game 1990 AFC Championship 51-3 1993 AFC Championship “We’re Baaaack!” Just can’t pick a loss as greatest game ever, but 13 seconds may have been. The Win against the Chiefs last October was an amazing game too.
  11. Perhaps the (now 34) laughs are actually laughing AT you, not with you?
  12. I’m still stunned that Poyer wasn’t the first man to say “Keep my wife’s name out of your ************* mouth!!!”
  13. I think they will wait until after the draft to see if anyone promising fell into their lap. Makes sense to wait for the draft before making an extension for Poyer.
  14. If you lived in Buffalo in the late 70s/early 80s, the Toronto rock stations were a good listen and played stuff not heard on the Buffalo stations, like Canadian Kim Mitchell.
  15. I believe there are a lot of ticket brokers, but there may be just as many season ticket holders that count on selling the late season seats to help pay for the games the account holder attends. If you read the ticket threads over the years, there are a lot of holders that do not attend all the games.
  16. This fall I was in Harlem for a few days and walked all over. There are some amazing churches that were beautiful inside and out. Also spent some time visiting in mid-town and around the south end of Central Park. Loved both areas. I found you just have to adopt a different set of expectations when in NYC; you have to be more aware of your surroundings, avoid being alone on the streets after dark, and accept that it’s a dirty, grimey sh!thole here and there. But it definitely has a cool vibe and getting around is quite easy. Went down to The Rock for the Christmas displays which was great for people watching and getting into the season.
  17. McDermott found out he’s actually an agnostic. Cut!
  18. Bonnie Raitt in April Joe Jackson in May Jackson Browne in July Lyle Lovett in July maybe Decemberists in August, but it’s an outdoor lawn-only venue and just not into that anymore.
  19. Agree with OP. This is the best team and front office combined that the Bills have ever had since I started paying attention in 1968, including the Super Bowl years. Josh is by far the best Bills’ player ever. Great time to be a Bills fan.
  20. Wait…..Stevie Wonder ISN’T blind?? @Gugny
  21. I would argue the Bills ARE the reason why people go deeper into depression and turn to drugs and alcohol.
  22. Reminds me of the 70s and 80s when you had to go to Fort Erie to get the good beer and strip joints. Border Guard: “Bringing anything into the States?” Me: “Just a case of Brador!” Border Guard: “👍”
  23. Coin flip: “We’ll take the Missouri end zone”
  24. So, Kansas City is one entity and the state line has no effect? That seems odd. Otherwise, they are in fact two separate cities with independent municipal and state governments. Upon reading further, it seems the two entities combine to form the “Kansas City metropolitan area”. So in that sense, they are one entity. Interesting!
