I thought his comments after the game were interesting, about wanting to earn his teammates’ respect. I am impressed that McDermott tempered the players’ arrogance after an epic comeback win and had them deliver a businesslike beatdown against a team that always puts up a fight. This week, I think the players show their maturity and determination with a similar businesslike win at home.

For the opener, I was at a place that had very limited internet access, and it got turned off at halftime. I went to bed certain they had lost. Imagine my surprise when I woke up and found out several hours later that day what had happened. When I finally watched the replay of the game, I was on the edge of my seat even though I knew the outcome. Sleep well, and check it out in the morning.
