I don’t disagree with all of Badol’s points, just the Brady one, and wanted to bust his balls about it a little. Tyrod took the Bills as far as he was capable. As a Bills fan, it’s difficult for many to be objective about Tyrod because we can be too emotionally invested - either in the team or our own opinions. To me, it was clear Tyrod had maxed out his potential to lead the Bills. But clearly he has talent - just not enough to lead a quasi-talented team around him to the Super Bowl. Tyrod is equally thrilling and frustrating to watch. I’m grateful for his time here.

Senior in high school - which was cancelled - I drove into Niagara Falls in the morning to work as a helper on an Royal Crown pop truck. We quit in mid-afternoon as the weather was getting crazy. Was driving back to Amherst and the roads in the Falls were all backed up and my tank was on empty. It got so bad I pulled into a bar and went inside to call my family. They told me to get a room and wait it out. I made it to a Howard Johnson’s and checked in. I was there three days before my sister and her boyfriend could dig out enough to come and get me. I think I ate out of the vending machines because I had hardly any cash on me. I kept busy by shooting baskets with popcorn into a garbage can. I was going stir crazy and couldn’t have been happier when I got rescued and got back home. We spent the better part of the next week playing cards (Michigan Rummy, Mille Bourne’s and Spades) and going to Niagara County Produce each morning for another case of Genny Cream Ale pounders. We hauled it the half mile home in a sled. All in all a memorable and great experience. My sister is still married to that guy!

I keep several feeders full of black oil sunflower seed, safflower, and a sock with nyger seed. It’s so cold, and watching them try to break the shells, that I went out and got some songbird feed without shells and a new tube feeder. Goldfinches have taken over the tube feeder. Downy woodpeckers, red-bellied woodpeckers, chickadees, nuthatches and titmouses all in abundance. Haven’t seen a cardinal yet this winter. Even put some corn out for the squirrel. Hate those buggers but it’s tough seeing them struggle in the cold. Amazing anything survives in this weather. 0 right now and 20 below wind chill in SYR.

Is it “Billsy” that the play that ended the drought was not even made by the Bills, and wasn’t in a game the Bills played in?

The only bummer is the thing I will remember most about the drought ending is a play from a game the Bills weren’t involved in.

I teared up while in the stands when the Bills beat the Raiders to go to the first SB, and I’ll probably cry if they win a SB, but tonight was just a really happy feeling of disbelief when Andy completed that pass. My wife and I had just ruthlessly cut him to pieces before he threw that pass. We felt kinda bad about that.
