  1. Ha! I’m much older than you. Jack Barry was a game show host for a bunch of shows. He didn’t host Jeopardy however. That started with Art Fleming.
  2. …..in one of those horrible dark navy jerseys.
  3. @BuffaninSarasota you catching all this talk about Josh? 🤣
  4. Oooohh! Can I play? I’ll take Barry Sanders for $100 Jack.
  5. Thanks to those that provided the history lessons in this thread. Very interesting stuff. I think it was on Twitter recently I saw some highlights of the Bisons-49ers from 1946. Very different game back then. Even the ball looked different - fatter. Here’s some highlights set to improvisational jazz. Go to the 29:00 mark and see (in color!) the unis the Bisons wore. Horrible. Same for their passing game. 🤣
  6. The early to mid-1970s were a great time to be a kid in Buffalo. The Bills, Sabres and Braves were all really good, full of great personalities and had success. Sal Maiorana wrote a book about it: https://www.amazon.com/When-Buffalo-Atop-Sports-World/dp/B085K6R2TR/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=3TUHUQX1SPFZ3&keywords=sal+maiorana+books&qid=1667509215&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIwLjAwIiwicXNhIjoiMC4wMCIsInFzcCI6IjAuMDAifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=sal+mai%2Caps%2C142&sr=8-1
  7. For these large capital projects, I think it’s just the opposite - you don’t necessarily go with the lowest bid. You go with the firm that has a proven track record of bringing projects in on time and within budget. That way you have a firm experienced in estimating the cost up front as well as managing overruns. I’m not sure the Pegulas have a magic upper number in mind. If the overruns could be estimated with any certainty, they would be factored into the overall price. The current supply chain cost and availability issues makes these large construction projects even more difficult to estimate. Your best hedge against out of control overruns is to pick a firm with the experience and connections to minimize the uncertainties.
  8. This explains it in very general terms. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/03/28/bills-owners-terry-and-kim-pegula-will-be-responsible-for-stadium-cost-overruns/amp/
  9. I thought part of the agreement is that Pegula will pick up the overruns? I’m not aware of very many large construction projects that come in right at budget. Overruns are expected and managing them is part of the deal.
  10. Ugh; I’ll need further therapy if they wear Super Bowl era throwbacks against Dallas, Giants or Commaskins.
  11. Lotta butt hurt soccer players on here
  12. The way Josh came up kicking his leg was hilarious. It looked like the video was on fast forward.
  13. There’s flopping, then there’s soccer player flopping
  14. Definitely agree. But fans of the other team, and probably the other team, consider it whining - like we did when Brady was getting every call he demanded. It’s definitely gamesmanship.
  15. There was The Shamrock and also the Clinton Street Pub. Probably no longer there. It was during my street urchin days.
  16. I’ve been in some dive bars. Mostly in Schenectady.
  17. Count ‘em this week. Several is three. It’s ok, I can say he’s a whiner and still love him.
  18. Or none after they get them beat off them
  19. I remember when he was born - thought it was a girl at first but then it was like “Whoa! That’s a boy!!”
  20. Jets going all white, or white over black?
  21. Josh pleads with the refs several times a game. It’s kind of obnoxious to me until he gets a call, then it’s “Yeah Boy!”
  22. No it’s not a weakness. They are very good against the rush. But to say they are the top unit regardless of position group, seems like homerism. SF probably has the top d-line in the league.
