  1. Are you looking to rent a cabin, tent camp, pull in a camper? It has been a long time, but I always enjoyed Letchworth State Park. We usually rent a cabin at Allegany State Park twice a year, and that is nice because you have options from pretty rustic to newly renovated. If you are at all considering Allegany State Park, book in advance.
  2. But it won't be fun unless you offend somebody
  3. Now I'm really thankful it was my ankle that gave way when I hit that pothole.
  4. I'm not certain what the point was here. Did you object to my post in a specific way. I did not lead out with I have a breaking news flash. I did not start a new thread of my own to propogate a wild new idea, I simply added a thought. I will postpone my criticism of the front office and their "failure" to fix the offense, until the offseason is over. Passing on Bryant Johnson, Bubba Franks, Ben Troupe, etc. seems like good management to me. Yes the offense needs help, and it will be extremely diheartening if nothing is done going into the season. We are a long way off, so a few of us need to come in off the ledge and watch the rest of the plan unfold. Thank you for your insightful response to my post.
  5. I was playing football in a parking lot in college, and was running at full sprint for a pass. I was watching the ball in and my stride went right into a pot hole. I went to the clinic on-campus, and they said that I had severly sprained my ankle. That was about 15 years ago. Last year I severely sprained the same ankle playing basketball, one of those deals where your foot sticks to the floor solid, but the body keeps moving. I went to the ER, and after doing x-rays, the DR. asked me when I had broken my ankle. Long story short, going to the clinic at college was a bad idea. Not too exciting, but it was my worst sports injury. The broken ribs from basketball hurt like h*ll too, but that was my 2nd worst sports injury.
  6. It is early in the off-season. I pointed out in another thread, and will do so here as well, the TE and WR don't produce early in their careers thing is a little bit of a fallacy. Will they put up huge numbers? Probably not. Could they put up better numbers than what we saw last year? Most likely. Most of the Bills best receivers, with the exception of James Lofton have come to Buffalo through the draft. I am all for seeing the playoff drought end, but not at the expense of good long term planning. I still believe that you will see some veteran players supplanted by younger players as teams cut down their rosters. If we draft a good wide receiver for the long term, we may find a veteran released by another team that can give us a decent year while the new guy learns. Probably nobody useful at TE will come that way, but we could expect to see some receivers that end up being cap-casualties. A trade is still a possibility. I am just not seeing good value for the dollar at WR or TE, Bryant Johnson included.
  7. This woman needs to be shown the hobbling scene from Misery. That works for wrists too. Back away from the keyboard.
  8. Rookie Stats Player Receptions Yards Average Tds Crumpler 25 330 13.2 3 Shockey 74 894 12.1 2 Gates 24 389 16.2 2 Franks 34 363 9.0 1 H. Miller 39 459 11.8 6 Alexander 37 383 10.4 4 Clark 29 340 11.7 1 Brady 26 252 9.7 2 Witten 35 347 9.9 1 Granted these are not glowing numbers, but they beat these 2007 Stats Gaines 25 215 8.6 2 Royal 25 248 9.9 3 The interesting thing, is the rookie TEs almost all showed vast improvement over those numbers in year 2. If we draft a good rookie TE, we can step ahead of where we are in year one, and quite possibly strengthen the roster for years to come. Most of the guys who were available had question marks surrounding their health, age, ability, or value for the dollar. Let's just hope we draft well. I keep reading here that we need to get a receiver through free agency, and yes it would have been nice to see, but I was never sold on Bryant Johnson. Looking back over the history of this franchise, most of our best receivers, with the exception of James Lofton were drafted by the Bills. I am glad the front office did not get into a spending spree for a #2 receiver, even if we "have the money". I am as tired of missing the playoffs as any Bills fan, but would rather see us situated for the long haul than the short term. I also believe that if the Bills draft well, and are patient we will see cap casualties closer to the start of the season, where veterans are displaced by younger players, and could come in for one or two good years to help solidify the line-up, and mentor younger players. Suprizing moves happen almost annually. Let's hope our player personnel guys continue to do their homework.
  9. It looks to me that the Bills will be going WR in the draft, but also will be looking toward picking someone up closer to the start of the season, when teams are trimming their rosters. There are always suprises when rosters are being finalized, where a young upstart supplants a veteran who was not expected to be cut loose. I look for the Bills to draft 2 WR's, in what rounds, God only knows, and then look to find a veteran who can help take up the slack for a year or two while the newbies get up to speed. I'm not advocating the 11th hour stop-gap solution, but it is looking like the direction we are heading. I do respect the fact that the front office is not willing to throw around huge money to guys like Bryant Johnson who have not proven to be big impact players.
  10. Used to be Pepsi, but now Coke. Usually buy Sam's Choice, or Sweet Valley from Aldi, because it is cheap, and so am I.
  11. Are we talking real lawns, or some kind of euphemism?
  12. I am really under pressure as to how to handle the whole 1000th post thing again. As I recall, it didn't go so well last time, but now I get another try. I am awaiting with anticipation to see which Russian Hottie is LABillzFan featuring?
  13. Sure, tease us with a hot tub you gave away last year. You're like school during the summer time, No class!
  14. I am not a professional researcher, nor do I play one on television, but it seems to me that the main problem is that researchers are motivated by their presuppositions to the point where they are no longer researching to attempt to identify what is true, but rather to support a specific agenda, cause, or theory. Evidence that is contrary to their objective is not accepted, but buried or ignored.
  15. I never claimed to be "fair and balanced", just spiteful.
  16. Geez, if you love her so much move back here and let her be your senator. The woman just bugs me. It has alot to do with the overbearing tone of her public speaking.
  17. I'm holding a baby with one hand and pecking with the index finger on the other. 112
  18. Ah, just wait until the campaign heats up, the polls start rolling, and her advisors assign her a new opinion. As for the video, it was lyrical pornography.
  19. Apparently AJ has not been paying attention to what RB's have been going for in the past few years. Enjoy your costly back-up for one more year, and then sit and kick yourself for getting less than you could have this year with a reasonable trade.
  20. Pretty accurate summary. Hopefully Monday we don't spot them two goals.
  21. Madam President
  22. I did not read the entire post. I forgot that I am the last person of faith left, and my viewpoint is laughable and irrelevant. It did seem somewhat logical to me that perhaps the concept of soft tissue surviving for 68 million years seemed a tad far fetched, and perhaps also would require a measure of faith to believe as well. I am sorry that unlike the rest of the world I am so closed minded and unwilling to consider that there may be an alternate explanation.
