Actually, that's the definition of coaching (with the exception of injuries). You coach your player before the play to bat the ball down or double or triple the most threatening opposing player on the field for that important play.
You coach Allen to throw it out of the end zone unless he's 100% he's going to connect and not confused by anything or you design a play where the middle is not an option.
With the sneak, you re-iterate to your players how important this play is and get them completely focused.
Those are all instances of the importance of coaching. That's what coaching is.
