Venezuelan gang takes over apartment buildings in Colorado.
phypon replied to Beast's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
All you Leftists do is say everyone is violent except the violent criminals. In some sick way, you defend them. You clearly don't understand imagery. Instead you make up your own interpretation to fit your own narrative rather than having the ability to understand the intended meaning of the imagery. You then use that (a freaking meme) to deflect from the issue at hand. -

Yes, I know what imagery is and you certainly have a vivid imagination. No bill was necessary. Executive order was all that was needed or a reversal of one. Do you disagree? Is this not true? By focusing on a meme you are ignoring the problem and condoning that very problem. A meme, Joe? That's what you are focused on? Really? -

So you're not going to address anything that I said in my post? -
He believes that freedom means no borders. How is that working out for him? He can't handle reality and the fact that he is wrong. He has no accountability. He's in sunk cost fallacy land at this point, until, God forbid, something happens to him or someone he knows. He won't be a NIMBY'ist after that.

So you're not for allowing criminals into this country and all that had to be done was for Biden to reverse his executive order (no bipartisan plan full of pork necessary) and your solution is to just sit on your hands and blame someone that has not been in office for 3.5 years rather than taking responsibility for the problem in the first place. And then, when people want to close the border you pull the "violent right" card over a meme. You're taking that meme literally, as in people are going to literally go ballistic when all the meme insinuates is a defensive posture to close the border. Somehow you seem to justify all of the violence incurred on the American people by criminal immigrants, but when people want to close the border they are now the violent ones. I think you're missing something here, bud. -

If you are against losers with a penchant for violence then why are you for letting criminals into this country unvetted? -
This Roundy guy is completely delusional. I really, really hope he's paid to post. If not, it's sad that there are so many stupid people out there. So the Left invites people to cross a river, they drown, blame the right. Yeah, that makes sense. If Roundy is not paid, he is absolutely a total clown and a scumbag. I'm leaning towards he is not paid to post...

No, I'll let somebody else explain it to you if they have the time to waste. Feel free to provide us with some more comedy gold though. Also, you sound racist. -

I did. #TakeAllGifsLiterally. Don't worry, it's not your fault. -

You're setting the bar way too low. Clearly @Gregg wants 100,000 ARs, wants to drop nuclear bombs at the border, use chemical warfare, 5,000 tanks, wants to invade Mexico, wants to push down through central America, and so on. Don't forget he's a nazi, racist who hates brown, yellow, and green persons. I mean, if you're going to use hyperbole at least do it right. Oh, wait, you're not being hyperbolic, you actually believe what you are saying. Does someone really have to explain to you that he's only talking about closing the borders and not about killing people or did you already know what he meant? Quite frankly, I don't think there is an answer you give without making yourself look foolish. Maybe there is, IDK. Give it a try. -

Young American men in decline
phypon replied to Joe Ferguson forever's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Very well said. Cold, hard truth bombs right there that many people just don't want to hear and choose to ignore. Another aspect is, as stated previously, women initiate divorce 80% of the time and the divorce rate is over 50%. Not very good odds. Men don't want to lose their kids in a divorce along with half of everything they own because their wife has suddenly decided that the man that was good enough to marry and have children with is no longer good enough. They see their friends looking like they are having fun on the single scene, and of course, the grass is always "greener". This is also a contributing factor in the suicide rate for men. I've watched some content which shows how this is especially difficult and common for military men. A lot of men are realizing that it's just not worth it. To the bolded, I'm 49 now. In my 30's and early 40's I played the dating app game. I'm actually embarrassed to say that I've met too many women. I'm not proud of how many women I've met. It was always the same. The women I would meet would always have other men they were hooking up with or they were on a "break" from their boyfriend (meaning they had a boyfriend). Once I learned that about them I was out the door. Of course, you don't find that out until after you've been with them a few times. You start to get numb to the dating scene and give up looking for something long term and become desensitized and as SC said, it just becomes recreational and a headache. I've been single for nearly 3 years now after exiting a 6.5 year relationship. I'm obviously not going to get into details, but let's just say trust was an issue. At this point, I haven't even thought about dating and not sure I will every bother. I already know what's out there and I'm much happier without it. I think a lot of men, including younger men, feel the same way. The PUA movement blew up in the 2000's with Mystery and Neil Strauss (his book The Game). Shortly after, men's rights and red pill content became (and still is) very popular. Some youtube content providers are: Pearly Things Kevin Samuel Terrance Popp Better Bachelor Rich Cooper Rollo Tomasi Fresh n Fit Those channels will give an insight as to what men are thinking today. A side note: @Joe Ferguson forever I didn't mean to insult you with my previous post about age. If I did insult you, I'm sorry, that wasn't my intent. My intent was that you haven't been in the dating game and a lot has changed in a short period of time. -

No, not at all. Not a bias anyway, but definitely personal experience, there's a difference. I was hoping that this could be a healthy discussion, but of course you had to devolve to a low level. First off, there is data out there to support what I've said. Secondly, I'm pretty sure you said that you've been married for 39 years (which is awesome and I commend you for that, it's clearly not common today, so kudos to you and your wife for having a sustainable and healthy relationship). You haven't been out in the "wild" for quite a long time. A lot has changed in a short time. You simply do not have the personal experience to support your assumptions. If you've been married for 39 years you have to be at least 60 and and only single for a few years. You're probably older than that, but at the bare minimum you have to be around 60. I have no idea how old your colleagues are or how long they have been in a relationship, which could be a factor, but all of the data out there suggests otherwise in today's world of modern dating. In addition as to why men are dropping out of the dating game, there are a lot of single mothers out there and men without children are opting out of dating single mothers. -

I'm sorry, but I disagree. Again, I don't have a link to specific studies, but have seen them confirming the opposite. Men don't care about a women's degree or how much she makes. To a point, I should say. It's nice if a woman can contribute financially, but it's not a deal breaker for men. Conversely, the majority of women won't date a man that makes less than she does. Also, which is well spoken of in men's community's, when a woman makes more than a man she usually exhibits traits of what is known as a "boss b*tch", which is not attractive for most men. -

Respectfully, it's not that their selectivity decreases, it's that their options decrease. At that age range, a man has more options than a woman of the same age. -

It would be nice if you could keep Trump stuff out of this. This has actually been a good, healthy discussion up until that point. Let's keep it clean and no hitting below the belt. It's an important topic. I think what happens a lot is that women get to a point and want to get down with their bad selves (with propaganda leading the way in that line of thinking). So, they divorce thinking they can do better (women initiate divorce 80% of the time in all divorces). They hit the dating pool and hook up with younger men to prove that they "still got it". Then they realize that they were nothing more than low hanging fruit and an easy lay. Then, they regret getting divorced once they realize that the man they married was a good man and a provider and that they are simply too old to run around with the 20 yo's. Then they have regret. Then, it's boxed wine and cat land for them. -

Exactly! I've seen studies and polls (can't think of a specific one off the top of my head, been a while) and the conclusions were that most of the time women lie in these surveys, polls, and studies. On top of that, I have my own personal experiences that confirm this as well as a few of my friends that have experienced this in real life. There is a pattern and it's undeniable. -

Totally agree. Add to that, with the dating apps, women can basically pick from a menu and hook up with men that will only spend a night or two with them. As in 6's hooking up with 9's and then the 6's will dismiss anything less than a 9. There is also the new'ish phenomenon of the 80% to 20% rule (which is more like 90 10 now) where 80% of the women will only select the top 20% of the men. Of course, most of those men are not looking for long term, they are just looking for an easy score because they know they can (not good dudes in my opinion) and it wreaks havoc in terms of dating. Another aspect is that men are afraid to approach or court women because they are afraid that if there is "buyer's remorse" they will be falsely accused of a crime (see Matt Araiza or that Duke team). It's to the point that just holding the door open for someone (which I always do regardless of the gender) can get you into trouble. The juice just isn't worth the squeeze. Of course, those are the symptoms of a larger problem. I believe that problem goes back pretty far with the breakup of the nuclear family, single parent homes and the push to get women into the workforce. I have no issues with women being in the workforce, so hope that doesn't come off the wrong way. However, the push for it was not to "liberate" women, it was to gain tax dollars and in part to facilitate family breakdown. Again, a very big rabbit hole. Just want to add, that for anyone on the Left that thinks what I'm saying is a Right type of thing, there is a fantastic lecture form years ago from Elizabeth Warren (who I absolutely do not support as a politician), but she made some great points and supported them with hard data. The way it appears to me, with everything that is going on today, it seems like there has been a concerted effort going on to divide us. As to the why and what is the end game, I'm not sure. Could be power, could be fear of the people, mass govt., money, all of the above? All I know is that the things going on today in the world and in this country are absolute insanity. -

Yup, definitely a real issue. It's a deep rabbit hole as well. One thing that is pretty interesting and may correlate with those stats is the "Mouse Utopia" experiment. For anyone that hasn't heard of it, check it out. It's pretty interesting.
