Maybe a better idea would be to get the other teams blocking unit on the field and then change the formation on offense from kicking a field goal to a trick play (change the formation to a pass or run formation). This may cause the other team to blow their timeout because of the personal on the field. Since you a team can't call back to back timeouts, you know the next play that is run the opposing team cannot call a timeout. And, if they don't, you call a timeout. Probably wouldn't work for too many games, but it may be interesting.

How about letting the fans play in place of the players? That would be a hoot! (yes, I used the word "hoot")

Yeah, except Indy is trying to get two players 100 receptions on the season, i.e. going for a record. Why not rest all of your starters today if you are Indy? Makes no sense, so the welker injury has no bearing. Not only that, they played the starters last week until the 3rd quarter. chit or get off the pot Indy. I was actually excited for Indy last week until they pulled that crap. I wanted them to win so that it would overshadow the *pats (that was my reasoning). But after last week and now TODAY (going for stats), they can suck it!

I believe you succinctly summarized my thoughts exactly.

I think the entire D scheme is a mistake. Where were the adjustments? When the Bills KNEW the jests were going to run, they couldn't stop it. I saw no adjustments on defense OR offense. I saw the same Bills team that we saw for the entire season prior to the previous 2 games. And why burn all of those timeouts when he did? Obviously, that's debatable and not something that is glaring after the fact, but I don't see anything other than go with the flow. I don't see ADJUSTMENTS and that's what coaching is about. Color me stupid, but I just don't see fewell as the coach this franchise needs. I would rather see someone in charge that has been there, done that, and overcome. I want to see the best, not a "may be". Where was the max protect on offense? I know, but why was it not corrected? Sorry, I just don't see it.

Fewell? What's wrong with everyone here?? Does he seem like a good guy, sure. But coach....no. Sorry. If you are okay with fewell, then why get rid of Dick? Sorry guys, but he is not the future. Here is a term, "coach em' up!". He can't do it. Getting guys fired up and "coached" up are two completely different things. I like fewell, but not for the future. p.s. His defense blows!!
