I guess not if you don't care that a mistake by the refs gives points to the opposing team. Not sure why you are having such a hard time with a bad call and a spot of a td for the opposing team. Why could you care less if bad call puts points on the board in error? Are you saying that you don't care about the outcome of the game in general?

Don't think it's just you. I've noticed that too. Especially after this week's game. Any coverage on the game is all about how desperate the eagles are and whether or not they can turn it around. No credit given to the Bills. The other teams we have played seem to win the time of possession battle on the sports segment...even though they lost! I like it this way though.

What I don't get is how some posters are all over the people that are concerned with the defense. By being concerned with the defense somehow a fan instantly becomes a "negative nancy", "never happy", "a nitpicker". I'm pretty sure 99% of the fans are happy with the record of the team right now. I know I am. However, I am concerned with the defense. I think the OP makes some very valid points. I'm not going to turn a blind eye to what concerns me simply because of a "W". That would be ignorant of me I think. Can you see any coaches doing that? Coach: "We won, so our team is fine. We don't need to practice harder or work on anything to get better because, well, you know...we got a W." I guess I just had to vent because I don't see the justification in posters jumping all over other posters for being concerned about a weakness (as those posters see it). Put me on board, I'm concerned about the defense. Put me on board, I'm very excited about this season and I see room for improvement and also have faith that the coaches will improve this team, as well as the players. I think they are doing very well and are hard working and will only get better. I just want to see the defense make some more 3rd down stops. I guess to some that makes me a bad fan. You're right. They're winning, but they need to really step up. I'm glad they've got wins, but there is def. cause for concern. Do you think it's execution or play calling? It's easy to say both, but I think the play calling is more suspect. It's almost as if they are just not used to having a lead and freak out.

I think your post is right on and I share your sentiments. I'm very concerned about the defense. Can't count on lucky bounces and getting these turnovers all season. Not only that, with all the turnovers, the scores of the games should not be as close as they have been.

Glad my halftime thread got merged because I couldn't read this thread. Can someone tell me what happened? My tv signal failed. Eagles had the ball with 8 seconds left. I thought for sure they would have scored a field goal. Did they attempt one or did something happen like a block?

The eagles had the ball with 8 seconds left after a pass break up by corner. My tv signal stalled and I missed the next play. I thought for sure the eagles would have kicked a field goal, but by the score that didn't happen. Was it a missed kick? Blocked kick? Did philly go for it?

I don't think anyone realistically expected 16 - 0 but after the hot start we did expect them to win the games they SHOULD win (i.e. today's game). It shows how far away this team is with the performance displayed today. I can understand what others are saying about the offense, but I'm more worried about the defense. I have to say, I really think it (lack of defensive performance) falls on Edwards' shoulders.

Totally agree with this. Edwards sucked last year and still sucks. The talent IS there, it's just not being used correctly. They should be able to apply pressure at least from time to friggin time this year with that line.

That's nothing. I saw a segment on (I think) ESPN where they were talking about keeping certain backups active and they said it's definitely worth while to keep Fitz as an active backup. The dude didn't know Fitz is the starter! Blew my mind. Absolutely ridiculous! I mean, really, there are only 32 starters in the league, is it really that difficult to know 32 items when it's your job???!!!???

I think it what the Bills need to do is lose. Especially to NFC teams. It would be much better for them and would give them an advantage to make the playoffs. If they start losing this will also lead to mucho notoriety and will definitely make sure the team stays put in Buffalo. Sorry, I just ate some crayons, I'm a little delirious.
