  1. It's our version of the Titantic --- except it hasn't sunk yet in the water.
  2. I don't think it's a slam against Buffalo ---- I think Gruden is simply saying he wants his QB to earn the starting job, not just be handed it. Hey competition is a good thing. I hope the Bills bring in someone to at least compete for the job in camp, and be able to play if Losman is hurt/fails on the field. The Redskins once drafted Heath Schuler in the first round --- who was alledgedly the second coming of Jesus at QB ---- and then drafted Gus Frerotte in the seventh round. Gus ended up steal Heath's job, because Schuler was injury prone and stunk.
  3. 63-0 ... is that bad????? I don't know a whole lot about JP other than he has little NFL experience and threw one of the worst passes I have ever seen against the Patriots, but I'd take another former Tulane QB Patrick Ramsey.
  4. Mr. Simms never really seemed to shine in a big game against Oklahoma, or any other college team. If his name wasn't Simms, would he have even been drafted????
  5. sorry dude, I just found the Gruden quotes this morning in the St. Pete Times
  6. "We don't give guys starting jobs here just because Buffalo is giving their guy [J.P. Losman] their job," Gruden told the two Tampa-area papers. "Chris Simms has to earn that right. He has to earn the right to be a starter. He hasn't done that yet. http://www.sptimes.com/2005/02/28/Bucs/Buc...ontract_t.shtml
  7. There's no way they would deal Henry for Charloes Woodson ------- Woodson is scheduled to make 10 million dollars this year and there's no way Buffalo would pay that
  8. McGee grew into the role at the end of the season and Thomas isn't bad as a third corner. The Bills need to spend their cap money on the OL, TE and K first --- those are more pressing needs.
  9. Forced fumbles??? he had two back in 2001 which is the same year he had 6 sacks I don't get it --- the guy has done nothing for two years in a row on a bad defense.
  10. The Bills are in good shape in the defensive backfield and Starks has been a bust in Zona ---- I won't waste my money on him.
  11. http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/187562 or http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/235053 I'd say Edwards appears to be the player on the rise .... Hovan is just waiting for his call to the WWE
  12. Why? What has Hovan done to make you believe he is the right player for the Bills?
  13. Again, if Hovan is such a prize then why has he played little with the Vikings lately ---- that team is crying out for defensive help and he can't even get on the field. He's all off-field hype and no substance on the field. Edwards hasn't even played much in Buffalo -- he doesn't have a body of work to be judged by yet.
  14. NO NO NO NO!!! If this guy isn't good enough to be on the field with the Vikings' D why would the Bills want him???? He might make some of you fans happy with his war paint and schtick, but Hovan is an undersized DT that would be a waste of money here. Buf would be better off with Edwards and The Keg in the middle
  15. I'd have to disagree with that ........ the Ravens and Eagles are both well under the cap and they don't stink. If a good team wants Big Pat bad enough they can find a way to squeeze him under the cap. Believe me, I'd love to keep the Big Guy in Buffalo, but hopefully he finds a good home with a team that doesn't wear teal.
  16. Why would going to another team for more money translate into him playing for a chump team?
  17. Nope, they wear Milloy jerseys to the games
  18. White has two rebuild knees .......he might be slower than Bledsoe. Did you see him against USC ---- it wasn't pretty!!!!
  19. OK dude, put down the crack pipe and just walk away .... which is probably the same advice Quincy Carter should follow if he hopes to stay in the NFL.
  20. I just went on the Boston Globe message board and Pats fans don't seem to be too upset about losing the Law. ... I guess when you win three SB titles, you cut the organization a little more slack. Dang, I'd lighten up on TD if he could field a playoff team some day.
  21. Dude your info is wrong --- Fins can't afford JJ http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sport...ll/10986637.htm
  22. The Browns already have a RB problem already with Willie Green and Lee Suggs --- don't think they will being adding a third
  23. He's not the same fullback he was a few years ago ....... age and wear/tear have caught up to him
  24. You mention the name Kordell Stewart and all I hear is the sound of crickets
