I wonder where she works (for the govt) most agencies (including mine) block personals websites and the like. Although, I guess she could have been doing it with a smartphone. She might get in trouble for doing it, but probably not. This guy was clearly begging to get caught. What an idiot. Congressman (GOP at that) answers ads from craigslist and sends a shirtless photo and doesn't think it is going to get out? Come on. . . . .

Congrats man! Kids are awesome. Have fun, and enjoy them when they are tiny. Before you know it, they're running around the house begging you to "play with me!"

These are in use at just about every major airport that gets significant snow. You can see them being used at Newark anytime it snows significantly.

That was pretty good.

Easy fix for ice dams: Get a pair of your wife/gf's nylons, and cut the legs off them. Fill the legs with ice melt (not salt) and tie them off. Lay the nylons on the gutter (starting at the downspout) they take about 20 minutes to really melt the ice and then move them down the gutter, refilling them as necessary. Once they start working, you can usually just reach in and pull ice chunks out. I did this and it works well!

I definately would rather have all snow than any freezing rain / ice. I worry about the roof on my house. We have a ranch, and it doesn't shed snow like capes of the same age. I just finished cleaning snow off my roof tonight. Sucks that I'll probably be doing it again this weekend. They are saying more snow on Saturday!

Snow Snow Snow! Too much on the ground already, and we're in for another big hit starting tomorrow. I would say there is about 30 - 35" of snow in my yard right now, (Hartford has gotten 70" so far this year!) and they are saying there is the potential for 2 feet over the next few days! I can't shoot it high enough with my snowblower to get it out of the driveway in some spots. Spent the weekend getting snow off my roof, and want to get some more down today. The piles in front and behind my house are approaching 5 - 6 foot in height! So, how much you got?

Probably calendars of semi-nude firemen and farmers.....

I also found that his sense of humor came across loud and clear in the book and made what could have been boring subjects interesting and fun. This is another Bill Bryson book that I will have to put in my "to read again" pile!

Any Bill Bryson book is a pretty funny read. Lost Continent was the first book of his that I read, and I laughed uncontrollably when I read about his father and the forced vacations in the car. Brought back a bunch of good childhood memories. Now that I've seen your post, I think I'll read it again.

Homeowner/shooter acted 100% appropriately. Too many people want to judge this guy based on thier belief that breaking into someones home because your drunk/stupid isn't a bad thing......

Right now I'm reading Killing Pablo The Hunt for the World's Greatest Outlaw. Decent book, interesting read about the hunt for Pablo Escobar and how the DEA, CIA and US Special Forces assisted in the hunt.
