Define inexpensive technology? $20? $50? Or does it end up adding $450 to the price of a car? We (family) live on one salary, and the little things add up when buying a car. The good side is that we plan to drive the current car into the ground. Hopefully we'll all be flying around in little spaceships by the time I have to buy another car. I'm not saying I don't support the idea, I just don't know if I want my car to cost $500 more so it has a device that will keep me from driving drunk (which I don't do anyways).

No, I am just a regular guy that believes that illegal drugs are inherently bad (btw, I don't get drunk, or take prescription meds unless they are for a specific injury/illness). I'm happy, have a great job, a beautiful wife, great kid (another on the way), and an all around awesome life. I don't need illegal narcotics to make my life easier, happier, or any other thing. Sorry to burst your bubble, but self medicating (with anything) is not the answer.

I wasn't going to post anything else in this thread, but, I believe you all have testified that people who use pot, use only pot and they are not going to branch out and try anything else. A bunch of you have actually cited your personnal experiences with being so called, "strict" potheads. Your previous confessions about using ILLEGAL mushrooms. But, I get it, you just use pot, and it doesn't cause any problems like memory loss..........

You hit the nail on the head, legal cigarettes, legal alcohol, and legal prescription drugs, are exactly that, LEGAL. One could easily argue that you also are completely one sided (illegal side). You fail to answer the key point or even admit, that there is a problem with drugs (marijuana) being in our schools.

Alright, I will concede a small point. If a 50 year old with cancer wants to smoke a joint to "feel better," I could care less, but to say that marijuana is not a problem, and we should legalize it and let everyone have it is a huge mistake. Some people (some of you) claim to "just" use pot and that is it, and that they would never do anything wrong while high, but, there is another group of people out there, who use marijuana, get high, and then decide that they need something else, or they get into dealing because it makes pot more accessible to them (" I smoke a little everyday, so why shouldn't I get a discount and supply to my friends"). Marijuana is in our grade schools (that's elementary school to anyone who doesn't get it) and it is a huge problem. Would you want your 7, 8 or 9 year old child to smoke marijuana? It all comes from the same place. Lets just agree that I'm not going to convince you that it is bad (although some day you might have to wear shiny metal bracelets for having it) and your not going to ever make me think it's not a problem and should be dealt with. Weed has never killed anyone???? How about the guy who is forced to work in the grow fields in CA and if he does anything wrong, they kill his wife and children (true story! Mexican drug cartel had a person called "the doctor" who would take peoples family members (babies, wives, children) into the basement of a house and melt them down with acid (ALIVE!!!!!) mexican police actually raided this place and found melted down bodies, or what was left of them in 35 gallon plastic barrels (there were dozens).) The cartels that run the marijuana business are ruthless and will kill anyone that gets in thier way. And please, don't tell me how legalization will stop this, it won't.

Yeah, I'm sure. Nothing like personal experience to back up a claim that it is so much safer. Also, you don't see the side of drugs that I see, which is usually an infant in a dirty diaper which mom/dad (if you can call them that) can't afford to change because they spend it all on dope.
