Yeah, you're right. We should re-sign a guy who is having his worst season in 5 years as a Bill and will be 33 next season over a guy who is going to 25 next season and is an obvious upgrade at the position and who would also allow us the ability to replace Sam Adams when that time comes in the very near future. LOL

....sign DT Shaun Rogers who will be a FA in Detroit. Everything I've read says they aren't bringing him back because he's got a bad attitude but I've also read repeatedly his attitude stems from not playing in games that mean anything. He wants to win and is sick and tired of "rebuilding". The guy is only 25 and is 6-5 345 and he's an all-pro caliber DT. He would be the one big contract I'd allow. As far as that draft we've got to figure out a way to get into the first round and my hope is we can package RB Travis Henry, our 2nd and if it's a high pick I'd even throw in our 1st next year. We simply must draft an elite OT to replace Jennings (He's gone to Atlanta), elite TE (I personally think it's the final offensive piece of the puzzle) elite WR to replace Moulds (If he won't renegotiate do you release him?) or elite interior OL to allow us to shed Teague's big contract or drastically improve the LG position. I know people wish to believe there is no need to shed salary and get younger on the DL but we must sooner than later as Pat has indeed lost a step and Sam cannot perform at this level for much longer. A guy like Shaun Rogers would enable us to actually upgrade on DT spot while giving us the heir apparent for Sam's spot as well as the cap flexibility when that time comes. It would be nice if Ron Edwards would be what we thought he would be but that's just a fantasy now.

Sorry guys but I'm a Bills fan and I'm a believer until the final play of this season. This team has made me a believer and with that goes unwavering faith in this season going our way. Houston and Oakland are both dangerous teams and could hang loss on Jacksonville and I firmly believe Baltimore loses tonight to Indy and again to Pittsburgh. Denver may actually lose both its last games but will certainly fall to an Indy team playing for home field advantage on the final day of season. Do we need help? Of course we do. But as Chris Berman says "NO one and I mean no one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills!".

If they can beat the teams they play today we will be tied for the wildcard spot with 2 games left!!! It's going to be close but it looks like we're going to do it!!!!

Seriously, I am sooooo ready for this game to be done with already. While this is exciting I think I'd prefer just one round of playoffs rather than 6 consecutive do-or-die games before we even make the playoffs!

(OT) Hudson to Braves; Beltre to Seattle

Actually in an interview with JS yesterday he confirmed that both Marte and Francouer will be given shots to win everyday jobs due to their success at every level so far. I think Francouer will outplay Langerhans who will most likely be a 4th or 5th OF rather than a starter I believe. -

Missed that part of the trade but with both Marte and Francouer almost ready they could keep Marte and push Chipper to LF or vice versa as well keep Francouer for his defense in RF and wait on his bat. -

C Johnny Estrada - All-star in his first full season. 1B Adam LaRoche (L) - A John Olerud clone with more power. 2B Marcus Giles - All-star. 3B Andy Marte (S) - Scouts have said he was Adrian Beltre with more power. SS Rafael Furcal (S) - All star LF Chipper Jones (S) - Still a tough out. CF Andruw Jones - No better CF in the game (Sorry Jim Edmonds). RF Jeff Francouer (S) - A 6-4 200 five tool talent who is rocketing through the minors. Rotation - John Smoltz Tim Hudson Mike Hampton (L) John Thompson Horacio Ramirez Middle relief - Jorge Vasquez Chris Reitsma Kevin Gryboski Tom Martin (L) Closer - Danny Kolb Solid but I'd like to have Chipper at 3B and Ordonez or Gonzalez in LF. -

Dan Meyer wasn't even the third best LHP in the organization. Thomas showed NOTHING until his call up and has zero power. He's a utility OF at best but most likely will be a AAA retiree. Cruz is going to be a good middle reliever. Essentially we traded a prospect and a middle reliever for a no.1 starter who has a really low salary this year and should re-sign with Atlanta as he's a local kid (Auburn). Yeah, the Braves don't know what they are doing. -

Losing Thomas means nothing. Eli Marrero is a much better player and we have CF Jeff Francouer in AA. He's going to be an all-star. -

We suck at C where we have a guy there who hit 330 for most of the season? We suck 1B with a rookie who would've hit 25 HR if he wouldn't hurt his shoulder. He's an Olerud clone. Smoltz will most likley win 20 games and he's got three good if not great years left.
