You Have a "Superbowl Defense"..
Dennis in NC replied to Dwight Drane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK, you may have a mental problem. Jennings may leave, but Williams walking? Big Mike? Are you insane? Pulling stuff from your rectum? What is it? A few other surprises? Fill us in, please. This ought to be a juicy story you are cookin' up here. -
the True Bledsoe showed up today....
Dennis in NC replied to mtdoak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sadly, you are correct IMO. Someone mentioned how sick they are of seeing that look on Bledsoe's face after he has done something stupid which causes an INT or fumble. I, too, am sick of that apologetic face. Drew can be a caretaker QB if the defense and ST are kicking butt. But if you need Drew to come up big, in a big game, forget about it. You have the wrong guy. Sadly, we are probably stuck with Drew. My only hope is that he is the backup QB next year, not the starter. -
"Fans like you suck." That IS pretty funny. It seems to me that fans like Steel4Real are welcome to pop in when their team plays our team. You did not come in and talk sh-- and act like a jerk. It was not the stuff of trolls we have seen here. Some people are just hot heads who will be pissed off for a long while about losing today. Oh well...

15-1 is pretty damned impressive. When your backup defenders stop our running game, that's impressive too. Your dominant OL makes our defense look pretty weak. Hopefully, Tom D can build the Bills via a dominant O line like the way the Steelers were built. I hope the Steelers can keep the Patriots out of the Super bowl this year - please! Congratulations.

Bledsoe=Dead Arm & Brain Dead
Dennis in NC replied to SethinShelby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, ol' Rob Johnson could throw a fine deep ball, too. But, again, the mental part falls short when there is pressure or a quick decision to be made. Drew looked awful out there. I'm willing to live with Losman's 1st year starter quirks, because I believe he has great upside for the future (including 2005!). -
Wow, good call, Dave. Finding a silver lining in today's games. The lame-o Rams beat the Jets, somehow, but it did not matter. The lame-o Vikes lost but are still a wild card, I think. The Bills have shown a lot of good things to take into next year. If they can just fix the deficiencies, we'll be OK. Moving up a couple of draft spots is great, though.

Is that you, Rudy? Of course, we are doomed and none of our players wil develop.

OK, agreed, Drew is off the rooster... Does this mean he gets to sleep in or what?

Good post. These folks that relate this game to life and death (hoping Lindell dies, etc.) need to get a grip. We had to know that we were great against bad teams, but would get clobbered by decent playoff teams. The Bills took a step forward this year. Hopefully, the braintrust sees Bledsoe's shortcomings. Hopefully, Losman stays around in the off-season to learn as much as possible. Evans will likely be training with Moulds in the off-season. Lots of good things for 2005.

I think we can draw a couple of conclusions from this late season run: * We got the right coach (this time) * We got the right running back

I think Travis has a serious lack of "football smarts" (whatever the hell that is!). Like his apparent belief that you only need to carry the ball - to heck with trying to block to protect your QB. Let the linemen do that sh%t! When TH came in for WM (month or 2 ago), his lame attempt at blitz pickup was simply pathetic. Shameful. Now, if Ma Henry had football smarts, she would put her boy through her Backyard Blitz Pickup Camp to give her boy the skills he lacks. Oh well, ain't gonna happen. A 3rd rounder for TH would be just peachy to me, considering his shortcomings.

Martz/Edwards first meeting since Martz used.....
Dennis in NC replied to Johnny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I read something yesterday about how Martz blamed the Rams loss to Arizona on Mort's unkind words about the Rams team! Unbelievable. I think Mad Mike Martz is losing it. -
That play was absolutely hilarious! He stayed there, in his stance, so sure that the snap count was uh... 7? 12? Maybe I'll just stay here and be ready for the NEXT play. Yeah, that's the ticket, I'm ready for the NEXT play...

I heard that today too. It reminded me of the folks on TSW who were hot to hire Coughlin as Bills HC. I'm glad TD made the correct choice this time. Coughlin just seems like a real prick to work for...

Michael Vick 100 Million Dollar man
Dennis in NC replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They should re-do Peerless as well, give him more Christmas dollars!!! What the heck! -
And, remember, Festivus is a time to let all of your loved ones know just how much they have let you down during the previous year... So let's gather around the Festivus pole... It's hard to root for the Fish, but in a case like this, it's OK.

But you surely do not want to get involved with Pace - IF he is still represented by the notorious Poston boys. -
Seattle was leading their division, pathetic though it may be this year. The Rams have been good in the past. On any given Sunday, blah blah blah... Why always look for the bad?

The last time we played the Benglas.....

I seem to recall the 2003 Cinci game, where Kitna tripped and fell, and Schobel got "the sack". Does anyone remember that happening? -

Frasier, where he pretends to be Jewish to impress a date's mother. Frasier tells Martin he should speak in questions. Niles is dressed as Jesus for a play... Great stuff. -
Obscure Bills players from the past
Dennis in NC replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Butch Byrd, not obscure, one of our all-time great CBs, was a mechanic in the off-season at a Chrysler dealer at Hertel & Delaware. My neighbor was a salesman there. Sestak & Maguire had a restaurant/pizza place in Kenmore. It's funny to hear Paul Maguire talk about those old days, where players came to camp in July to GET in shape! After goofing off for 6 months. -

WR Mike Moseley, known as FWB - Fastest White Boy (no kidding) or perhaps NT Guy Teafatiller, one of my favorite names (I seem to recall Hank Bullough calling him "alphabet") -

That's Carl "Tank" Byrum. Always cool to have a nickname like that. How about QB Luc Toussignant? (I haven't read all 132 posts yet...) -
I think Jason Peters started his career as a DL at Arkansas, too.
