  1. To quote John Lennon: "You may say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." Great point about Conlan and Bennett - who'd a thunk it?! Stranger things have happened.
  2. Brilliant! Jdunc, you hopped on a golden opportunity when it just happened to pass through town... Good work.
  3. I don't believe they actually focused on (or preferred) juniors over seniors last year. I would it just fell that way. Just my opinion, of course. If we must stick with your list, I'll go with: 1. DT Okoye 2. LB Siler (is he rated a solid 2nd rounder?) 3A. CB or RB Henry/Bush 3B. CB or RB Henry/Bush
  4. This year, it appears that the WR actually would be the best choice at #2, even at #1. Calvin Johnson seems to be that rare can't miss player. Maybe Cleveland's posturing to trade up to #2 is actually for Johnson. Hmmm...
  5. Or maybe Ryan Sims, or another underachieving DT Rien Long...
  6. 5 or 6 defensive holes? 1. MLB - Crowell may fill this spot. 2. CB - Youboty may fill this spot 3. ummmm... You may want to check your math. Oh, and you may start complaining at any time. Panic is optional.
  7. I would check with Terrence first, to see what he thinks. Check with the DC and his position coach, see how TM measures up as a cover 2 CB. Josh Reed would be a better RB candidate, IMO, but that might not work either. Ahh, the off-season! A fun time to speculate.
  8. This must be so, because Ozzie Newsome is normally a very sharp GM. You would think the Ravens would have some info on Willis' failure to study the playbook, and would not trade for such a guy. Go figure, huh? Maybe they were getting advice from Ray Lewis...
  9. I was a Willis fan until a few weeks ago when it was revealed (it seemed to be team source) that Willis needed an asst coach to signal him personally on what the current play is. The baby mommas, the lazy public persona, don't matter much to me as long as the guy does his best on the friggin' football field. But if "Willis won't do his homework!" then I am very happy to see him go, and to get some very good value in return. Maybe Brian Billick won't mind using an asst coach to keep Willis informed during the games. Maybe Willis will get his head out and start studying a bit. Now, he can hang with the I-boys from the U.
  10. Are you new to this internet thingy? Check out a few other NFL fan boards, and you may notice the TSW is relatively sane and reasonable. Relatively. This is the time of year when some Bills fans (NFL fans) get itchy for some kind of action. Wacky draft trades and so forth.
  11. How about those Ray Lewis comments that Willis "plays with passion" and "plays the game the way it should be played"? Ray, do you mean that "it's all about me" attitude? The "glorify yourself" ethos? And I would think playing with passion might involve cracking open the playbook once in a while in your spare time.
  12. Or how about this? "My situation in buffalo wasn't a good one. They had this big book full of Xs and Os. How the f%&k am I suppose to unnerstan' that shizzle?"
  13. He probably went to the 49ers stadium, hoping to meet Joe Montana...
  14. It seems the the OG ship has sailed, so to speak. With the pickup of 3 veteran OL, the Bills probably have enough to work with now. Perhaps drafting another OL is possible, too, but I would guess "no" on Mulitalo.
  15. Oddly, I have not heard anything about A-Train visiting with other teams, either. Has anyone heard such a thing? I hope he comes back, especially with the new O-line!
  16. Yeah, Kwame Cavil and Kamil Loud were going to take the Bills to the next level... I find it pretty impressive that Kwami is still hanging in there, playing football somewhere, somehow. It takes a real love of the game to do that. A love of the game is not always present in pro players, unfortunately.
  17. The "outright release" part of it makes no sense. If he is ultimately traded for a 3rd round pick or whatever, that's OK with me. Why would they release him? Because he has 3 baby-mamas? Who cares? What IS quite ugly is the assertion (not sure who that "source" was) that Willis did not study enough to know what the play was, and needed a coach to signal him specifically. That makes for a bad football player IMO. No wonder he danced around back there, even after the shuffled OL showed improvement. I'm not much of a betting man, even with Monopoly bucks. But thanks for the offer! Let's agree to disagree on this one.
  18. This is a ridiculous assertion, that just because Willis has been declared tradeable, that he can't return and play for Buffalo. The Bills organization has not blown this WM thing all out of proportion, only the fans and media have done that. Willis can return, play out the 2007 season, go his merry way a year from now. If he were smart (quite debatable), he would study and work his butt off to have a big 07 season. Time will tell, of course.
  19. And what size of bonus is Jordan due? The tradee team would have to pay that bonus. Sometimes these "roster bonuses" get pretty crazy. I think Travis Henry was due an $8.3 million bonus this month, so they cut him loose. Of course, then they invite him to come back the next day.
  20. Well, here is a rough idea... From KFFL Texans | A. Johnson signs six-year extension Sat, 3 Mar 2007 23:24:57 -0800 Len Pasquarelli, of EPSN.com, reports Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson has signed a six-year contract extension with the team. The deal is worth $60 million and includes $15 million in guarantees. It is believed the new contract created more than $6 million in new 2007 cap room.
  21. Not a cheesy sentiment at all, IMO as well. I was a big Antoine Winfield fan, but not when he's a Viking. Now I'm stuck with ol' 26's jersey, which I never wear. So good luck to Nate Clements, but don't let the door hit you in the ass, eh? How are things going there, Kiwi? You picked a beautiful corner of the world.
  22. Assuming a trade down a few spots, would Levi Brown be as good a choice for OG? I know he is an OT, but he seems very well regarded.
  23. You raise an interesting point there, Tipster! In the last game or 2 of 2006, the Bills put Reed in the backfield. It was only a couple of plays where they did it, I think, but it certainly seems worth exploring IMO. Reed had been a RB at LSU before becoming a WR, so maybe they will look into it as an option.
  24. It's probably you. Like any draft, this one will be a crap shoot. There's a bunch of guys out there who can help the Bills - OGs, DTs, RBs, CBs, whatever. Nobody that really excites you? You mean like Vince Young, Matt Leinart, Robert Gallery? That kind of excitement? Happily, the Bills do not have to search for their next QB, LT, or safeties. Every other position (well, except P and K) could use some help, or depth at least. Who would you like to see in a Bills uniform? The 2007 class may not have Vince Young, but the Bills will a few gems.
  25. Wow. Two of those mocks had (But just changed from) the Bills taking S Reggie Nelson from Florida? Let's see... here's a trend - the Bills like to draft safeties. So, we'll give them Nelson! Brilliant!
