  1. Hey Fitzbeardy, thank you for the good work! It is much appreciated out here in the wild west.
  2. Wow! 70th out of 85 safeties??? Holy crap. Does ramming into the pile backwards count as a tackle? Good riddance, Donte.
  3. Well, I have a big issue with Marv's coaching, too. His "treating men like men" business. When your men stay out all night before the Super Bowl, and then fold up during the game, how can you "treat them like men" again the next time the big game rolls around? Jeez, Marv, give these "men" a curfew, will ya? Grrrr. Oh, yeah, happy birthday, old timer...
  4. Fitzbeardy, thanks for the great report! I'm 2000 miles from St John Fisher, so your reports bring me all the detail! I visited the 2008 training camp, and remember the fun of it all.
  5. Well, I finally called Directv to threaten to cancel / negotiate a better deal. Being a customer for 13 years or so helps. I end up paying about $168 for the season, with free to-go and the web broadcasts as well. Not to bad. Did not have to haggle too much. At $324, I was prepared to give up the Ticket. Thankfully, I don't have to.
  6. Scott: My deepest condolences to you and your family. May your mother rest in peace. -Dennis
  7. I absolutely agree. If you take the time to read Tony's story, you will see how unfairly he has been branded (for life) as a sex offender. Very sad story. I wish him well in Calgary.
  8. I had to telework for 5 days taking a Remedy certification course. It was fun to work in my underwear if I felt like it. The training was so intense, the pets were scared when I came out of my room to grab food or whatever. I ended up growing a beard during that week.
  9. That makes some sense. I am no talent evaluator, but I have no recollection of Poz making any big plays. There may be a few, but I would not go too far to keep him.
  10. I stopped in to Schobel's (or Schrobel's if you like) back on opening day in Sept 2002, while driving through the Houston area. I thought some of the family might be there, maybe watching the game at the restaurant? No. The Schobel gang was all at home watching the game. What a bummer. We didn't bother to stay for lunch.
  11. Ha! I just looked this up in the Urban Dictionary, mate! You beat me to it. whip
  12. IIRC, Jarvis Jenkins is a Clemson DL just drafted in April. So, "whip like Jarvis" means to drive a similar vehicle?
  13. I thought I saw the name "Big Shadow" in one of the Jasper articles. I am excited to see what Michael Jasper can do with the Bills.
  14. I am very happy with the players they selected (after reading the write-ups on these guys). RB Johnny White is a very skilled (4.45 speed?) guy - can pass protect, etc. CB Justin Rogers has a great skill set as well, even some wildcat possibilities (I think it was Rogers) NT Michael Jasper - I love this guy's story (had to go to the feed store to get weighed!) I kept wondering when a QB would be picked, but there was always better value at another position. Many posters B word about 3 DBs, but the roster was quite thin at DB. I hate to make the comparison so soon, but I think Marcell Dareus will bring what the Bills have missed since Bruce Smith left. I am excited, in spite of the lockout BS.
  15. Hagg is a DB! Do you not realize that safeties are defensive backs?
  16. I am surprised that New England took Solder. I don't like OTs who are 6'8" or so. Isn't LEVERAGE the name of the game for blocking? Well, I hope he busts for them.
  17. OK, here we go. 1: Cam Newton QB ==> Vikings 2: Blaine Gabbert QB ==> Cardinals 3: Von Miller LB ==> Bills 4: Gabe Carimi OT ==> Patriots 5: Kyle Rudolph TE ==> Browns
  18. That seems the perfect explanation for Gabbert's rise. Filling a vacuum!
  19. I think the DB Peterson or the WR Green would be ridiculous choices. Disastrous? Meh. Bills fans have been there before. I like Gabbert, though, after reading that article about his steel trap brain. I want a QB with a brain. We have had the other kind. Newton would be a horrible choice, IMO. He has NO experience calling plays, is very far from being NFL ready.
  20. Ah, yes, handsome dividends, such as the very handsome Johnny McCargo... And the very attractive JP Losman! Oy!
  21. Someone posted this article in another thread. This sold me on Blaine Gabbert as being worthy of pick #3. Gabbert has a brain for football
  22. Thanks for the great article. Gabbert sounds like he would be an excellent choice with the #3 pick. I had not realized he was so ready for the big league.
  23. Have you guys ever seen The Chocolate News? Not on the air any more, sadly. They did a skit about the De-Negrofication Institute, where they de-program wiggers. Hilarious (unless you are easily offended, of course). It's probably on YouTube somewhere.
