  1. Why must all the ignoramuses come out after a good draft pick? These so-called fans come out of the woodwork, thinking they know ANYTHING about scouting college players. Why don't you join that assclown Fireman Ed and go root for your Jets on Sundays? Stephen Hill - the new robo-receiver.
  2. I sweated out each of those first 8 picks of the 2nd round. Hoping teams would pick any other position. And then... and then... I jizzed in my pants!
  3. Nice interview and Senior Bowl highlights of TJ
  4. I doubt you will see Goodell hugging the 4th rounders as well. Of course, those guys won't be hanging around Radio City Music Hall, so he has to hug the top 40 guys who they brought in.
  5. I'm not crazy about Upshaw anymore. I would love to get Glenn, though, and would like to trade up in the 2nd to get him. Obtaining two more second rounders would be tough (without mortgaging next year's draft). Jeffrey would fit in nicely, too, I suppose, although I have not seen much of him.
  6. It's called trading UP if you go from #10 to #3. This is not New Math. This is how the NFL Draft works.
  7. Thanks, Beerball! What a great article. I had not realized Ben was such a pioneering black player.
  8. Apparently, Curtis Modkins' name has never come up while playing Madden 11. Therefore, who the hell is he?
  9. Duh! That's probably it. I have always seen safety expressed as SS or FS or just S. Not sure why I brain-farted on this one, maybe it's the Whitner effect. Thanks, Jon.
  10. Thanks for this list, Astro. What is an "SAF"?
  11. Wow, thank you! Now I have a decent copy of Iggy Pop's "Play It Safe"! Do any of you guys rememeber WZIR (98-plus) back in 1981? Great free form station, only lasted about a year. Glory days.
  12. I don't think a failure in the draft merits a change of coaches. Or do you mean a whole regime change (GM, coaches, et al)?
  13. Well, do you live outside of the Bills broadcast area? Yes. Do you want to see Bills games every week? Yes. Would you like to sit in your underwear as you watch Bills games? Mmmm, well, it's an option. Take quick bathroom breaks as needed? Yes. I have lived far from Buffalo for the last 20 years. I have had Sunday Ticket for about 15 years. Really thought about cancelling last year after the league hosed up the off-season. But I stayed. I can't wait to see "the baby" this year! You just need an uncluttered view to the satellites (somewhere over Houston, I guess). My dish is on the roof. That is pretty common.
  14. Meh. A 5 or 6. The Bills kicked some ass in free agency, filled a monster hole at pass rusher. That gives them a lot of flexibility in the 2012 draft. Why are you so dramatic about this draft?
  15. As Eminem says: "It's over, nobody listens to techno!" What a great clip that is. Oh, it's not Timmy's fault, it's the rest of those bums he plays with. Sure it's a team game, but when your QB throws 4 INTs, he has to take a big chunk of the blame. Thank you for posting that. It was a lot of fun to watch.
  16. Maybe it was an argument about where Dennard would go in the draft. "Mayock says I'm going in the 2nd round!" Smack! "Oh yeah? Mel says you last 'til the 3rd!" Pow! Goofy bastard.
  17. Nice work, H2O! Some good explanations. The draft is always a crap shoot, but you've taken a good swing at it.
  18. Have the Vikings done that (missed their selection) more than once? I remember the Vikes doing that a few years ago, but has it happened (to any team) any other time? I don't think so.
  19. It seems like they used to start voluntary sessions in March (if memory serves me). Did the new CBA change all that?
  20. I don't think fans are forgetting about this stupid rule change, we just can not do anything about it. Perhaps fans could picket the stadiums and refuse to buy tickets, but fat chance of that. It certainly has taken away an important aspect of the game. Maybe they could make that aspect of the game like touch football. The kick returner would have a little NFL-licensed bandana hanging out of his belt that the opposing kick coverage guys would have to remove to show the returner (punt catcher) has been safely "tackled".
  21. Well, there is a nice piece of info. How about the Bills' public relations department? They should have a line on the whereabouts of ex-Bills. Nice to see your post, Olivier, and how about posting a link to your blog? Oops, few of us can read French, I suppose, but post it anyway. Merci!
  22. I think Kamar Aiken might show up and take one of the WR spots. Given OTAs and mini-camps (unlike last season), I think Aiken will show a lot, maybe earn a spot. Time will tell...
  23. Jeremy, that is hilarious. It actually made me laugh out loud. Ron Mexico and the pinata analogy....
  24. Several posters have wanted to draft Wilson, but this is the first I recall who has had Wilson starting in 2 years. So your "everyone" has little basis in fact. I think people may see Wilson as a backup or wildcat QB at best.
  25. Take cover indeed. You would not be trading up to #3 without including the #10 this year in the package. Future picks are typically worth one round less - i.e., 2013 1st is worth a 2012 2nd. I suppose a 2014 1st is worth a 3rd then, but 2 years out is rarely traded. It's fun to speculate about trading your old beater for a late model BMW, but it just is not going to happen.
