  1. VY blew his chance simple. Man his career is slipping. I was hoping he make it. Maybe this is the wrong offence for him. I thought if Fitz went down Vince could win a game or 2. Guess not.

As Warren Sapp said during the Saturday night broadcast: "The trouble with Vince Young is... he doesn't like football."

There is a bottom line for you.

  2. VY couldn't look less interested if he was trying to play while in a coma. His body language says it all. He just looks like he'd rather be anywhere else at the moment.

    GO BILLS!!!

Lombardi and W Sapp were talking about VY on that show that covers tonight's 3 games.

Lombardi (I think) said the trouble with Young is "he doesn't like football".

EDIT: it was Warren Sapp that said it. The statement has even more credibility coming from a player IMO.

Ouch. Also talked about how Andy Reid had turned Kevin Kolb into a tradable commodity (and fleeced the Cardinals in the process), but Andy could not do the same for Vince Young.

That would seem like an insurmountable hurdle for becoming an NFL QB, if you simply don't like football.

Maybe Thigpen will play the whole 4th game, just to see if there is any life left in him.

Yikes. What a shame to waste all Young's physical skills on a guy who would prefer to be doing some different job...

  3. I for one, was never a fan of Trent's. I was a JP fan and still feel that he had more potential but just needed some time with better coaching. I did meet Trent at the Hall-of-Fame game a few years ago and he was very nice so I'll never wish anything bad on him. Years ago, I bet my brother that JP would end up having a better NFL career than Trent. It seems the more that Trent plays, the worse he gets so I may win the bet yet. Is JP in the Canadian league now?

There was talk during or after that draft that Green Bay had been interested in drafting JP Losman.

I wonder if there was any truth to that, or if maybe it was planted by a clever GM (a la Nix saying Cordy Glenn was just a Guard).

  4. Oh, I just have to wake up by 10 or 11 o'clock and turn on the Sunday Ticket. Have some coffee (usually iced coffee), some tasty omelette, maybe some wings and pizza - has to be leftover since nobody opens that early.

I've been a Bills fan since the Jack Kemp days, but been living away from Buffalo for 20 years.

I look forward to a good season, now that the defense looks pretty strong.

  5. I expect that one of you sensitive soles, will delete this post. However in the meantime.... What a cowardly act. Yeah, yeah, yeah, "mental health disorders are complicated, at least he didn't harm someone else" blah, blah, blah.

Bottom line is he was too weak to deal with life so he took the easy way out and left family and friends to deal with the questions and pain.

This is a moronic response to a tragic event.

Sadly, it is not unexpected from someone with such an offensive screen name.

  6. And miss out on the little things?

Like the first fan report from TC? Those are like mana sent from heaven.

Like the pre-season debut of your favorite draft pick that no one believes will amount to nothing?

Like the first snapshot of Super Mario in full Bills gear?

Like the anticipation of Bills overall raking on Madden '13

Heck, for you guys is summer, I'm sure there's life besides football this time of year.

Feel free to add to the little things list.

This year, like never before, I am looking forward to a rookie punter playing in pre-season.

I believe UDFA Shawn Powell can become the Bills new punter this summer.

Oh, yeah, Brian Moorman has been quite reliable for 10 years or so. But I believe Powell can "kick the cover offa that thang", so to speak. More to the point, he can directionally kick it, Rugby-kick it, whatever the situation calls for.

The little things? I hope to have ZERO wildfires encroaching on my back yard this summer!

  7. I had the chance to talk to him saturday at the play60 event at RWS.....he said with wind at his back every kick he can put halfway up the stands, with wind in his face he hits them out of the endzone!

Did you speak with Potter or Powell?

It's easy to confuse the two, especially since the punter Powell can also kick off long. I don't know if the Bills are considering Powell as a long kickoff guy, but they should.

  8. Everyone seems to have the same hope. I didn't think Easley was particularly impressive in the preseason last year. He was getting open but his hands seemed rather stone like. If you fail to convert a certain first down you can be out of this league pretty quick. Aiken seemed to have better natural ball skills than Easley but there had to be a reason Martin and other journeymen were getting into the games before him.

I really liked Kamar Aiken last year, too. But with that truncated offseason, rookies had almost no chance to learn the pro game. Especially since he was a UDFA, having no OTAs could be a big problem.

Hopefully, Kamar can learn enough this offseason to make an impact in camp.

I would love to see big progress from Easley as well, of course, but Aiken impressed me a lot.
