  1. Lou Saban had several chances to make it to Superbowl with multiple teams. Right now we are hearing only the positive about the coach.
  2. There is no money for a new stadium so argument is moot. No matter how much more 'visibility' the falls would give, no matter if it would make many points in southern tier like Toronto closer there is no guarantee it would bring in more Canadian fans or sponsorship. Better to invest it in bridges and highway system connecting Canada and New York in Buffalo and Niagara Falls which would help economy all year long and make it easier for Canadian fans to go to games.
  3. The "big game" was not as big as the AFC Championship when Bills won IMO. Saban won in a 8 league team who played 12 regular season games - Bills won in a much larger league and played more regular games. I think Saban's Bills just got hot which was easier in short term. Oh and Saban's teams never made Superbowl and not just in Buffalo (80's) but Denver too.
  4. From what I heard and saw was not so much as reading but doing cowboy like things refusing to check down, trying to make the big play when he could have gotten the first down, throwing the ball into double and triple coverage, etc which really frustrated OCs. He was trying to out Farve Farve without the ability to back it up.
  5. Incorrect - Ralph Wilson has to pay the league for visiting team to Toronto per agreement to NFL. You think visitors (Dolphins last year) are going to say "Oh Ralph got his money but we have no right to any so we play for free"? The visitor's pot comes out of that money. Visitors and Home team split pots in NFL, home team get majority but visitors make enough to make a difference in years when they go to teams selling out in higher priced markets and those where they go to teams not selling out.
  6. When it happened I checked other sources (I am still editor of Topix which has direct news source from multiple feeds) and told that the poster's source was wrong but I did not go onto other boards to track source Lori. It was definitely originating elsewhere before 10:15 but in a forum where anyone registered can post news not a legitimate news source.
  7. Officer apologizes after delaying Texans' Moats as mother-in-law died http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true "I wish to publicly and sincerely apologize to the Moats family, my colleagues in the Dallas Police Department and to all those who have been rightfully angered by my actions," Powell said in the statement. "After stopping Mr. Moats' vehicle, I showed poor judgment and insensitivity to Mr. Moats and his family by my words and actions." Did he send flowers to funeral?
  8. I think Jeff George's problem was his head not his ability. Perhaps he has matured in his years. McGahee? It was his heart and that does get better.
  9. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/11557739 He was often injured in Buffalo and for SF he played 10 games total in 3 years. Looks the front office made right decision not resigning him.
  10. Pretty simple - Bills are waiting for draft before deciding what free agents to sign.
  11. The major reason why neither are employed is both are asking for too much to be backups. That reason was not mentioned in article.
  12. Like posters on main board who review games via stats without watching game site reviewer should have watched series first. Theme was never was "human vs robots", we do not know how long they looked around before all of them left the ship, the Galactica crew have had to forage before on other planets, and most of all many of the people on Survivors are morons playing a moronic game.
  13. Everybody is attempting to out-douche you and failing otherwise would be extremely obnoxious, foul smelling resembling road kill on a hot Arizona summer?
  14. Ironically Jonathan Scott is still on Detroit's website - maybe there is a webmaster slower than Bills'? http://www.detroitlions.com/bio.cfm?bio_id=385&season=8 I remember seeing him in 2006(?) as a rookie and thought he was not bad prospect of Lions. He is a good player for goal line situations considering his wingspan if he can stay healthy. That proves draftnics and analysts are often wrong, that is all.
  15. The post was aimed at those who constantly say that Ralph is cheap (the lame jokes about Denny's, car, etc) whose first thought was "Ralph was too cheap to contribute". Sorry it was not so obvious and I should have included in black and white (or red and white for a correction).
  16. The little bit of motivation will be more ad money from Jenny Craig I am sure. It is a lot easier to diet with a payday coming along with professional help (chef, exercise trainer, etc - see article linked to original article.
  17. Who knows, maybe he did not want to come to Buffalo because of Royal (or royal pain in asses here). I added Tony to my signature so each and every post will have it mention we ought to trade for him. P.S. Take Midol for your PERIOD.
  18. Maybe he want to play "good agent", "bad agent" with Bills?
  19. Who said "Simon says this is not a NFL post? and moved it?
  20. Will you autograph my ice cream gift card? i like Cold Stone Creamery even more then Ben and Jerry's now. For those who do not know Steve 'Stone Cold' Austin is in Brazil filming one of Sylvester Stalone's new movie "The Expendables".
  21. Why would Cutler give advice regarding himself Jimmy Dean?
  22. You were? If that was a bust it was an UDFA bust not a first round bust Jimmy Dean.
  23. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/11543066/2 And no the Bills are not one of them who did not contribute. Browne coined the name of the NFL's new "Gridiron PAC," which raised $313,000 through the end of last year, the most recent reporting period. Donors included NFL officials such as Goodell, as well as owners and executives of all but two of the league's 32 teams. The only holdouts: the Oakland Raiders, owned by longtime league nemesis Al Davis, and the Cleveland Browns. Neither team returned telephone messages seeking comment. The PAC's first campaign donations will show up in quarterly disclosures next month.
  24. Sorry no. NFLPA does not allow it. Some players are allergic to down. Will have to be chicken feathers.
