Jests complain about schedule for religious reasons
BillsWatch replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know plenty of practicing Jews who go to games even during religious holidays. For some Yom Kippur holidays I have subbed for so they could take day off and others were willing to work as a substitute and get extra pay. One qualified it by saying that he could work because he was honoring the same hours as in Jerusalem. I went to UB and when Jests were playing locally they would be going to games. UB was more than 25% Jewish according to Jewish student representatives. We got the day off so I am very sure of the dates. Are they not supposed to play away games either? It makes no difference then if it is an away game or a home game since they "can not" watch the game either way but only Jests are complaining not Jiants - are all of the Jewish NFL fans in NYC Jest fans? -
Anyone who is a NFL fan should know where all of the teams are unless they would score on the wonderlic less than Jason Peters. For a prospective 1st round player to not know where all of the teams are is a refection of poor preparation by agent.

Jests complain about schedule for religious reasons

NJ actually actually gets special treatment but I agree with your point. it is no different than other religious holidays teams play games on. The NJests are complaining about it because it is a home game but should have thought about it before agreeing to share stadium with team (NJiants) who have more influence with NFL. -
Fred Jackson's agent speaks out
BillsWatch replied to TimGraham's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For players who are not under contract there is usually some sort of waiver signed guaranteeing him some set amount if unable to perform and injured at work. Some also buy extra insurance contracts. Jackson could injury himself at home (say slipping in shower) and be entitled to nothing. Oh and NO player should automatically get a raise for being starter. Good agents like Flutie's agent did get contacts with incentives. The same player who is a starter like EJ in Arizona becomes a backup but does not get an automatic pay cut. -
Tax-free Internet shopping may be at an end
BillsWatch replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
And so the increasing of taxes continues from previous years. California law is positively bizarre - pay taxes above California if you do any business out of state? IF they are going to tax online then they should just make it a national tax same in all states, give collectors a percentage and if you live in a state with no sales tax buy it in a retail store locally instead. -

Jests complain about schedule for religious reasons
BillsWatch replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Evidently the Jiants and Jests both attempted to get away games those two weeks. For those who need it broken down mathematically: 17 weeks in a year Jests play 8 home games Jiants play 8 home games It is impossible to accomodate both unless you mandate off day game like Thanksgiving for one of those teams. This is something that they should have figured out before agreeing to share Jiants Stadium. Next year what the Jiants Stadium ought to do is say stadium is "unavailable" those specific days and then NFL would be forced to change schedule. What Douches in New York City! -

Bert Ward one is hilarious! I think I'll set my daughter's computer to play it automatically when semester is over. -
Somali coast is long, 3,025 km (CIA Factbook), longest on Indian Ocean in Africa with many tiny little ports and harbors. The ships attacking with are small and hard to see unless you know where they are. Remember it takes weeks and months to sail these ships - if every ship had a party of marines those marines would expect to be paid when not in danger and not expecting to help with ship work either. Better to have baited ships with bounties on heads of pirates. Maybe even use the old British trick of dipping bullets in pigs blood but dip the rockets instead.

Which article on TBD states that? Was it an article or some sort of amateurish blog? None of the writers of articles on TBD state this. Professional writers will avoid the term "always" but there are plenty of douches from New York City on TSW who will exaggerate to try to prove their point incidentally proving they do not have facts to back up repeated argument. TBD = Two Bills Drive TSW = Two Bills Drive's Stadium Wall Bulletin Board which every Bill, troll and Jerry Sullivan can post on if they register.

I am hoping Canada will allow them but US will have the good sense to not let them back in.

Will a Thursday Night Game in TO Kill the series
BillsWatch replied to mike6683's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree as well that New England is already slated to play in Toronto next year whether they admit it or not. Year 1: Attempt to Cuban travelers to stay for game (Cuba is big tourist destination of Toronto) - not enough idiots to pay full price Year 2: Make game national and look for closer and more loud mouthed idiots from New York City reducing prices knowing how cheap some New York City people are. Year 3: Another high profile game this time raising prices against Boston fans who already pay more than Toronto game and allow them to do their duty free shopping as well. Despite attempting to market it to Bills fans it really is for the corporate fans which is why Indianapolis is not playing Bills despite name players. -
Bobby April receives ST Coach of the Year award
BillsWatch replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You forgot the starting tag too..... <idiot> I forgot. </idiot> How could any Bills fan forget that he started as a special teams coach? Levy began his pro coaching career in 1969 as kicking teams coach for the Philadelphia Eagles before joining George Allen's staff as a special teams coach for the Los Angeles Rams in 1970. He followed Allen to Washington in 1971, where he served as the Redskins special teams coach for two seasons. Levy then served as the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League for five seasons. This how he got part of the George Allen coaching tree. Levy never served as offense OR defensive coach going from special teams to head coach (jr), to head coach (Alouettes, Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Blitz, Buffalo Bills). Like Marv Levy - maybe April ought to field some CFL Head Coaching calls? -

Maybe he is doing a coke for guns deal. -
5 roadies in 7 games because you are counting starting and ending on road games. All teams have stretches like this. We have no more than 2 games in a row away which is normal. Only two teams have 3 game road trips - the Giants partly because they share a stadium with Jets - and the Seahawks who have three road trip games in row (Cardinals, Vikings, Rams). Because the league promised to help Toronto sell games and douches of New York City are willing to spend the money to fly, pay for over priced tickets and stay over night in Toronto because the local games cost as much or more to get tickets to.

I Can't Wait 'Til The Home Opener!!
BillsWatch replied to R. Rich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only reason I hate late afternoon games is I will not be driving back same evening hence needing to take Monday off but hopefully new boss is as flexible as old one and will let me flex hours. -
Jets game is NFL's idea of civic improvement. The idea is to keep all of the douches from New York City complaining about Bills drafting 1st round pick every year as a DB to go to Toronto instead. NFL probably thinks the NYC fans of both teams will fly up and stay in hotels helping Toronto justify Toronto prices.

Why do we play Jacksonville so much?
BillsWatch replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is because we equal in standings in division except years when entire AFC-East and AFC-South divisions completed. -

Best seat for a young fan attending his first game?
BillsWatch replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IMO the best seats are the first row of the 2nd level. If you are seated behind someone who wants to stand most of the game then your child will not be able to see. It is great to stand but not for the entire game especially for a kid. First game I took my daughter to with two other kids was a preseason game using Harvey (Albany, NY) and Petrinio's seats and they could see the big screen (important for kids since they do not know where to watch yet) and still see action on the field. If you are on a low row of the first level you are dealing with personel on field blocking view. -
If he is a free agent Philadelphia has no option to trade him otherwise we could trade Losman for him and make out in deal.

Why do coaches? It is not like they can miss a FG, throw an interception or miss a tackle. Oh and a LOT of people thought the world was flat - never made it true despite campaigns to prove it.
