  1. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/11715980 When NFL owners voted in late March to allow clubs to opt out of league-run pension, retirement and 401(k) plans for employees and coaches, it didn't seem like a big deal. But it is now that nine teams have notified the league –- and their coaches –- that they intend to break with its policy. According to a memo circulated Wednesday among the coaches, the teams that will change retirement plans are San Francisco, Arizona, New Orleans, Buffalo, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and New England. Each of the teams probably find cheaper deal on their own than the omnibus team negotiated by league. Is this part of the league trying to save money due to bad NFLPA deal a few years ago? Judge is implying so and I understand how coaches feel - some people in my company have guaranteed pensions and others have cafeteria plans because we got there too late - but there types of economic changes affect almost everyone.
  2. I have been seeing a lot of blank jerseys for sale recently. i.e. http://i.ebayimg.com/14/!BONCbSQ!2...cp7j-hg~~_1.JPG http://i.ebayimg.com/01/!BRNkBiwBmk~...37UOqDg~~_1.JPG Thought of buying a bunch cheaper than t-shirts but where would I find letters/numbers? I already have a seamstress - my wife is one Are these surpluses, fakes or what? First year I have seen these on sale.
  3. Veterans with many miles often play better in training camp due to be familiar on how training camp / weeding out process works but wear down quickly during season which is why given their high salaries are being cut. If you keep one as a reserve our linemen will "Peter" out because a backup is making more than they are and is barely playing. If he is as good as Marcus Price was in limited role as a swing tackle he is worth it but otherwise no.
  4. From you Guff that is a complement. I just literally interpreted the words.
  5. So were you a member of the majority of child molesters for the entire 22 year period? Or did you get your nickname as being a victim?
  6. Reich has been asked in past about coaching for Bills at event in Buffalo and at time said he got inquiries from Bills and was not interested. Times have changed.
  7. http://www.jimmystavern.com/images/05-24-09.jpg Party in the Alley with usual early morning, Motorcycle run, discounted crawfish, lobster and crabs from noon to 2 PM and live music from noon to midnite.
  8. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedi...content.12.html Oh and the two images of the bills first round picks: Aaron Maybin | DE | Buffalo Bills http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedi.../content.2.html Eric Wood | C | Buffalo Bills http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedi.../content.3.html
  9. My recommendation is that you talk to your company's representative; they may be able to help and make sure you pass name of doctor and lab around at office. My company insurance office was able to help straighten it out after company and insurance company talked. Doctor was told to correct or be removed from plan. Some doctors will constantly have extra uncovered charges or will label charges differently in attempt to get multiple charges for same work. I have run into same problem as you before and I started including under signature and all forms "Use only Health Insurance approved labs". One time said it was not binding and I told them I was not approving ANY lab work then so they changed their tone. One doctor wouldn't so I told them I was not getting any lab work and ended appointment. Next doctor asked me for previous records and I told doctor no for the previous doctor had inflated charges for paperwork and it would be cheaper to do it again.
  10. You didn't say players and in terms of most famous Bills Marv Levy would make any top 10 list. I have heard even non-football watchers quote him.
  11. So why does paragraph 1 say: Even Jason Peters fans can add 8 + 2009 and get a number bigger than 2014.
  12. They control a good deal of what their stores carry but NFL restricts which vendor they use based on licensing deals. Interesting item I saw on NFL site Hunter Buffalo Bills Custom Pet Jersey ($39.99) http://www.nflshop.com/custom/index.jsp?tu...2942149&cp= Customizable with dog name which normally costs a lot with people jerseys.
  13. Jerseys are up to $80 on Buffalo Bills site now. http://www.buffalobillsproshop.com/main_ob...=Home%20Replica When teams are talking about economizing and cutting costs you know they are NOT talking about our costs. Of course they will justify it for savings from cost of jersey and 50th Anniversary patch ($15) combined. You can even order an extra Buffalo Bills Toronto Patch, sewing included! Best deal is probably Kawika Mitchell #59 jersey - yeah he is changing it but you can say you were on bandwagon for him first year! Forget the little lie about it being originally $80 - it was never selling at $80 - but it is the thought that counts.
  14. Mock drafts are called that for a reason - they are mockeries of reality. At end of 7th day Mel had his "best of players" list and he kept citing players he had listed in low 100s which were not picked by any teams. 32 teams passed on Jason Peters and no team thought he was worth a draft pick for multiple times.
  15. i disliked him as Congressman since he did not seem to do much for his district compared to others but thought he did a great job in Cabinet and outside congress although I disagreed with some of his politics. (I respected the man not his position which is possible in civilized areas.) How could you not respect a man Quayle disliked? Rest in peace Jack.
  16. He was their biggest need which tag could fix. Kickers have become popular to franchise because of the low franchise number. He had issues when Bills had him as kicker which is why Hollis was kept. Place kickers often float camp to team to camp to team until they get the right combination of seasoning, coaches and snapper. He was in Buffalo for part of a season before losing to Hollis from Jacksonville who had a lot of experience but unknown to Bills was on last leg. Graham needed more seasoning in Carolina before he hung on with Bengals. Mike Hollis is doing ok for himself by the way after 9 years teaching kicking and Moorman credits his development partly to Hollis.
  17. They said same thing about Peters not passing waivers but he was waived and signed to practice squad first time. Of course Peters did not have the same intellectual capacity Bell supposedly has as rated by Wonderlic. Bell has not had the football training many of his competitors have had not starting football until 10th or 11th grade in 2001. He is a project but unlike some who already have had a lot of specialist training has more room for improvement. He was a Cowboy fan since days overseas so maybe we can get a gem we can trade with Jerry Jones for a 1st, a 4th and latter pick another year.
  18. Your post makes it appear kickers are one of those disposable positions which any team can find on disposal bins. There were a couple of idiots like that on draft show. Of and just to let you know the Patriots* picked a long snapper on draft day instead of a "real" football player.
  19. http://www.cbs8.com/Global/story.asp?S=10290052 Miss California's statements against gay marriage placed her firmly at the center of a heated debate. Now there's a new controversy surrounding San Diego native Carrie Prejean. The Miss California Organization has confirmed it paid for Prejean's breast implants six weeks before the Miss USA pageant. California is certainly an interesting state....
  20. Almost ALL supplements are untested - why FDA allows other than money to legislators is beyond me.
  21. It looks like they changed the order of pictures unless you were on the crane. Here is link to image: http://media.buffalonews.com/smedia/2009/0...ffiliate.50.jpg or in case they change it again http://img65.imageshack.us/my.php?image=58...standalonep.jpg
  22. Maybe Realfootball365 needs to offer a bribe again per article like they did when Connor came on scene.
