  1. My brother asked to borrow some money to help him buy a foreclosed house for his daughter to rent. He has borrowed money and paid it back with interest to me before and his credit is good with me. When he told me how little he needed to borrow to make 20% (rental property requirement) I suggested maybe we could just skip bank and I could shift assets so he could borrow entire amount minus 5% he was depositing. I'd make more than I'd make lending to bank and he would get a lower interest rate with easier person to deal with. Because this is all tied to real estate I need to have this all official. He lives in NC and I in VA so it is not as simple as sitting down with him and local attorney. Anyone deal with private mortgage loan before? We want to make sure everything is correct for tax purposes since he and I both will be dealing with IRS and heaven forbid we both need to be protected rights wise if disaster occurs.
  2. Sorry typo, long day and no sleep last night. 2009 Chevrolet Aveo 5 http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/2008car1tablef.jsp?id=25223 25 City, 34 Hwy, 28 Combined Looks like a compact with front and back end flattened. Lots of people in thread complaining about existence of whole program and politics in general. Most of complaining is in line with previous posted political views anyways. I did not like it when they changed rules about retirement accounts I set up, started charging me welfare tax on education reimbursements, bailed out speculators responsible for recession, tax avoidance of oil companies, car companies bailed out, etc but just trying to deal with constantly changing government laws. I was thinking of buying new car during $4 gas run up but tuned van instead and now will take advantage of it if I can find deal as well as rebate.
  3. My wife has an 1997 Ford Aerostar van and we decided to go looking for an inexpensive replacement for her van and take advantage of government giving away money. Note we do not need to replace it since her van still runs fine after 12 years after a tune up so we have some leverage. Aerostar gets 18 mpg according to government figures so to take full advantage of it we need to find a car getting on average of 28 mpg. She wants (1) automatic (2) hatchback with (3) air conditioning hopefully with (4) cruise control (deal installed, package or added) and (5) folding, split back seat. She does not care about "sportiness" nor is worried about resale value since we usually drive until they drop cars. The Pontiac G3 was best match in her price range but hard to find properly equipped so we were looking at the sister car the Aero 5 LT. She drove and was happy about the combination when we came to first surprise. We discovered CARS is not a typical auto rebate but more like a tax rebate in which the government pays you back after deciding it has taken enough time and paperwork not takes money off sticker price. We also discovered that dealer installed option are much more expensive than independently installed systems with some warranty justification for cost. We did not purchase car today. Typical attempt by salesman then sales office person then sales manager to tell us that they are not 'typical dealership' and will work with us to find a way to purchase it but we do not finance hence other than factory rebate I do not think they had many things they could do. Toughest part of turning it down is that there are not a lot of these Aero 5 LTs with these options in stock hence hard to compare dealers. Will try again some other day to hook bigger fish.
  4. Who says he isn't faking and holding out because others on line got raises?
  5. I'd like to see the Bills bring in another position coach just to teach guards, a coach with lots of league experience playing in NFL. I think it would help get Wood and Levitre up to NFL speed more quickly. I think Butler's main issue has been keeping healthy NOT that he is out of position. He played RT in college including a number of bowl games but last year he kept getting dinged. Hopefully they can sign him to an extension before end of year and cost skyrockets. Maybe between Langston, Butler and Chambers they can keep a consistent enough line to keep Edwards on feet.
  6. I have heard both Marv and Rueben on radio raving about Rusty and locally Bruce was talking about how much Rusty helped in when he was with Washington. I am assuming there is more to the promotion / leaving than has been in press. When he went to Chicago he commented on how happy he was to be back coaching so perhaps this was a case of someone who got promotion and later realized it was not what he wanted.
  7. Mike Williams was improving player until front office stuck their fingers into Rusty Jones' area. First they "promoted" him, then they marginalized him until he left and went to Chicago. He was one of the guys who Bruce Smith cited as reason he became all Pro. He had not lost it for he won 2006 National Professional Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year Award after leaving Buffalo and was very highly recommended to Chicago by Marv Levy and Rueben Brown. Mike Williams was one of those rare natural big guys who needed professional, constant monitoring to keep him in NFL shape with huge amount of food the players eat to keep that must muscle on their frames.
  8. King sounds like Roscoe's press agent - Roscoe is hardly accomplished as a slot WR and he can not blame QB for Reed was able to get plenty of balls from every QB. Roscoe did at least try to block last year but still had a lot of problem getting separation and getting ball in traffic.
  9. Farve said his health could not handle a 16 game season. If a playoff-bound team loses a QB in last quarter of year his answer could be different.
  10. George's problem was not listening to coaches. He could throw the ball but would not change his methodology or preparation; he would sometimes just do plays he wanted rather than one OC called. His attitude reminds me of the veteran QB Eddie Martel of the movie "The Replacements". He would be perfect match for Patriots* since Moss called him his favorite QB. For the right coach and team he is probably a better backup option than many out there.
  11. Agree completely. Worked with him in 1980s when I was with UB press in Buffalo. He had very good journalist ethics.
  12. Lots of convicted felons make money on such things as talk radio and lecture circuit. Even Martha Stewart still makes a bundle. I am not saying I want Vick anywhere near Bills but you exaggerate too much.
  13. You forgot the most important applicable part: Bills fans go bonkers for Owens We met Tim Graham at Draft Party and he knows first hand how absurd some fanatics get.
  14. Maybe Ralph can get the players to ante up and pay for Vick to be on roster. He can be their fetch dog. The speculation mutty can be one of Vick's pound mates mascots fleas since he is such a big fan.
  15. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...1-3bf7e86262d8 Johnson's situation might be just as bad. After a solid day in both practices Sunday, Johnson was sidelined by damaged rib cartilage causing significant pain. "It's not a broken rib, it's a cartilage injury between the ribs and it may keep him out for a little while," said Jauron. "Very sore and very tender." Reminds me of another Johnson injury, a Johnson with #11.
  16. He didn't say that? Or "I want to help out Baltimore at Buffalo's expense?: Thought he did.
  17. I rejected a tenant based on a rental history I asked tenant to write. It was not fill in the blank but gave what was needed for periods where tenant was renting and not. Got back form with comments on staying with housemates but would not give address or name (address was gone and was not living as actual tenant on lease but subbing), unexplained periods without housing and note "nin of you're busines", and other residences where only general info was given (Building name but not even full address without renter's contact). Bouncing was easy for it was someone I did not want to be responsible for property or making payments. My reasons for refusing was written all over papers suppied.
  18. Legally (being a landlord) you can reject a tenant for ANY reason other than what is illegal in the US (assuming you are renting in US), your state, your community and your property covenants. Proving it and having a laywer suing you just to get you to settle out of court, having a judge rule against you in small claims court without legal basis or being convicted in public opinion court / press is a different issue. I am not a laywer but I have paid and paid a laywer for legal advice before.
  19. Great job. Funny thing according to another thread (Off the Wall) it is illegal to sell the pictures so according to some things I have read on copyright law if you do not "own" them you can not label them copyrighted.
  20. No I was not serious hence (closest this board has to roll eyes) I added. I heard through a contact in Bills Backers his agent was working gigs for him but not specifically which companies. I assume it is the usual speaking engagements.
  21. That is a myth like Rueben had an offside penalty every game or people can actually predict the weather.
  22. He was drafted in 2006. I remember some draftnic saying he should have gotten Outland trophy claiming he would be best center in draft and mad because Steelers drafting before Bills "were surely going to use a pick".
  23. Thanks for 1st hand input. Players who have been to a lot of camps like Marvin Philip usually look like they are ahead of the curve; they are but that is because they have gone through so many camps they adapt quickly to schemes. It is when they face dealing with talent they have not had reps against in schemes they are not intimately familiar with they falter. Good training camp material who usually can not make roster unless weakness was coaching in college. Veterans usually look sharper than many younger players in camp for similar reasons but due injuries and age they wear down over year. I think besides mandatory union salaries why many UDFAs make team when veterans look better - coaches expect more from veterans and know the veterans should look better in camp. Posluszny has a contract with some romance novel (Harlequin?) company for covers. He is going back to normal look when training camp is over.
  24. Joe Pisarcik? Trent has not pulled a bone-headed play like that. Losman was the one who played like Joe Pisarcik. For those who do not remember Joe Pisarcik his most famous play is called "The Fumble" by NY Jints fans. I know Jaws is from Lackawanna but he is acting like a NJ blond with bleached roots.
