Egyptian fishermen sail home with captive pirates
BillsWatch posted a topic in Off the Wall Archives
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090815/ap_on_...3lwdGlhbmZpc2g- The crews of two Egyptian fishing vessels that overpowered pirates off the Somali coast have sailed into Red Sea waters on their way home along with eight of their former captors. The 34 fishermen, who were held for captive for four months, captured eight of the Somali pirates and were bringing them to Egypt. Good for the fishermen although they only killed two of the kidnappers! Hopefully Egypt will hang them and send the bodies hanging on boat into port. -
posters on the wall, well spoken and polite. Oops. I got that backwards. That is the answer to "Finish this sentence..., I wish more there more posters like" considering recent posters like "Heart Throb".

Chris Collinsworth, A good replacement for Madden?
BillsWatch replied to DCbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone to make even miss Madden. I guess some just want NFL on NBC to end. -
Battlestar Galactica Movie In The Works
BillsWatch replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
There was a Battlestar Galactica movie planned before 2nd series created which was supposed to be a continuation of 1st series complete with some actors from original series. Looks like they are continuing original plans with big budget, Star Trek treatment. -

If you think it should be deleted does that count as a "No" or a "Yes"? Last Post Wins thread < Skooby -

Able to do so today but not yesterday. Used same procedure. When I have time I'll do a 'instruction guide' with picture. Here is galley of clownments22's new jersey. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?autoc...um&album=10 -
Great HOF indiuction article from Fox Sports
BillsWatch replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some corrections: All the other reports said at least half were Bills fans but he says at least 5,000 of 12,695? Seems he is being awfully conservative. And he left part of sentence off: His loyalty to western New York is unquestioned for any one with half of a brain working. And I think they would have had more attendees if they did not hold back tickets trying to artificially raise demand and price. -
Sealing an ashphalt driveway question
BillsWatch replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I asked my wife (please do not laugh) and she said no. The first coat will fill in any spots and be absorbed but the second coat usually take more. I came home one day and she had blocked driveway and done it. -

Berman.. taking shots at some of the other owners?
BillsWatch replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Many franchises do not deserve some of its "fans". Robert Kraft was one of those owners he was taking shot at I am sure. Berman had been critical of whole Patriots*not Connecticut move thing. That announced move and retraction has been removed several times from Wikipedia entry. -
Thanks for making me hate having to work even more

I think it was done this year partly due to his legacy being 50 years this year, 50 years since "The Foolish Club" founded the AFL. Looks like those who called them and him fools were the fools wearing dunce caps. The current, hastily signed NFLPA contract and results evident last year was the nail that completed the podium. Will look forward to watching it tomorrow.

Who should Ralph and Bruce campaign for
BillsWatch replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd love Tasker to get and have been saying that for years. WRs have a hard time because game is constantly changing so WRs are compared not just with their contemporaries but the current WRs. Jack Kemp is the one who should be pushed for by the old timers committee. -
Politically I am all over spectrum so politics did not factor into decision. I probably could have waited, spent a lot more time and got a better deal but the government blows so many things it was not worth the chance. I had a better deal than one I took but my wife did not want a red car and I was not too hot on red car either so we took the blue one she wanted. We checked a lot of dealers in area and their were not many models with combination of options we wanted and options we did not want. The one thing that really got me nervous about red one was someone (according to dealer) ran down battery and dealer made it seem like it was no big deal because battery was covered under warranty; this resulted in clock and other things not be set. Salesman needed to leave engine running at door. It also had only 7 miles on it but tank was almost empty so we needed to go with salesman to gas station to put $10 of gas into it. Salesman did not even put on plates saying they do this all of time. This combination of things made me wonder about details there. If a good real estate agent was selling car everything would be just right with new car feeling, air freshener in car, full gas, all controls set, etc. In some ways car dealers are like communes because unlike houses salesmen have no incentive for any particular car so if someone tracked mud on floor mats no big deal to them.

No. Direct TV is an add-on package only.

Heard about site but never saw that site. Not really have any pity for country which nationalized businesses. Some friends lived there before Castro with small businesses and they lost almost everything. What Castro government did not take Castro supporters forced them to sell on the cheap. There are not many like my wife at all. If we did not get the deal we wanted we would have continued driving van so incentive worked. The money came from savings in bank; economy tanked so much from 2008 that banks are now paying almost nothing to customers because they can borrow on the cheap so keeping it in bank once CD matured made no financial sense anyways. We were going to trade/sell it a while ago when gas prices spiked but decided to try a tune up instead. We were getting poor gas mileage in local miles and poor pickup on PA mountains but after tune up it was working fairly well again regarding gas mileage. Round trips to Buffalo from VA still only took two or three fillups. We bought a new one because it is getting harder each year for reinspection in VA and we really do not NEED a van anymore. The Aveo being a hatchback has enough space for when she needs to do work pickups (not much work right now in recession) but even with not doing weekly pickups we were still doing 7-8K a year putting more miles on my car instead. My wife is petite and unlike most small cars its seat is adjustable enough that she can see well height wise and still reach the petals comfortably. Maybe a little tough on trips to Buffalo with us being used to space both people and cargo but we will adapt with trips occuring far less often now.

Should have asked someone but had not got time off in time. It is the way work is with tests and such. Each year it gets closer and closer to me not being able to go. Jack and Steve both offered to pick up a ticket but it does not really make a big difference anyways since I am a single and singles are easy to get. Pairs are easier to buy on net but most are not looking to break a set.

How bout Bruce/ Ralph on the banner?
BillsWatch replied to C.Biscuit97's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thurman still shows up after I logged in but Bruce before I log in. Logged out, left site, and cleared Firefox cache before I logged back in too. F5 is not the key anyways for Firefox. I even took IE out of moth balls / detention and still see Thurman when I log in so only when you are not logged in do you see Bruce. -
Exactly. It has been reported many times game plans were changed to stop Tasker with players who would be on offense or defense being pulled to try to limit (not stop) Tasker. Some teams even tried triple covering him. They knew he would make an impact but they wanted to prevent game changing plays.

No problem seeing but see no mechanisms to upload. Users' galleries are still disabled and I tried logging out and back in.
