Anyone been to Colonial Williamsburg?
BillsWatch replied to BillsWatch's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Thanks for advice. I am driving down on Sunday taking advantage of timeshare's (Kingsgate) reduced points during weekdays so I will not be going to Busch Gardens on weekend. My "little one" is 17 and doesn't want to do anything not involving internet but no choice for her. Neither my wife nor daughter are roller coaster fans (pity) but maybe I can convince my wife's friend to go on one. Usually I try to buy tickets ahead of time to save time in line when I find discounts but so nothing worth purchasing yet. I'll try visiting Williamsburg on Sunday late afternoon for a few hours to determine if I want to purchase or not. Weather report says possibility of rain Sunday and Monday with clear skies Tuesday. I'll check again when we get closer but looks like Sunday and Monday Williamsburg with Tuesday Busch Garden. -
Chicken broccoli braid...now that's tailgate food!

Some people need to expand their taste bud inputs. They (except Chinese) used to throw away chicken wings and now they are a bar staple. -
I am staying at a timeshare in Williamsburg and was planning on taking my family to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg while we were there. Has anyone been to Colonial Williamsburg? I read one blog that you do not even need to pay for Colonial Williamsburg except to go into the major buildings like the Governor's Palace for there are no entrance gates. All you need to do is park in a municipal lot and walk in. If you have been there before is this true? I'd much rather spend the money in the shops if I can. Next time if interested I could take the full tour.

My father was a professional mover and if you are planning on moving items as well as car you can do what he did - he pulled the car into his truck up ramps and then built a platform around vehicle for other items. Assumes you or a friend can drive a rig big enough for car and items one way.

Heard two writers who vote for Hall of Fame (Denver and Washington writers I believe) say they will never vote in Andre. During end of career before he retired a number of writers had thought Andre was overrated; time usually does not improve chances with WRs.

They ought to just sell the tape on infomercials.

It starts Friday - if you bring a camper - otherwise 5 hours http://www.buffalobills.com/tickets/stadiu...rking-lots.html Better solution is to park at Hammer's Lot. It is as close as main lots and is monitored during game. http://members.cox.net/billswatch/Hammer/index.html

Why fans and media shouldn't assign sacks allowed
BillsWatch replied to TimGraham's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course fans should assign sacks allowed - it goes along with fantasy GM mentality! I thought Peters was bad not because of sacks but because he had no heart and showed no effort. -
Jim Kelly sees win-or-else season for Bills
BillsWatch replied to BillsWatch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. Donahoe signing was considered a major coop signing by most in media and industry. Sometimes what works in one place does not work in another. See how quickly Polin went out of favor in Carolina. Many fans in Seattle consider Mike Holmgren a failure. Jon Gruden is a real football guy who brought his team a Superbowl trophy using Dungy's team and knowledge of former team but fell out of favor. Brian Billick was an "offensive genius" who could not do anything offense wise for Ravens despite multiple shufflings. Sometimes it chemistry is everything despite a real football family tree. I still would not mind Ron Wolf and Bill Cowher in Buffalo but there is no guarantee even that combination would bring success. -
Embarrassing but not surprising. Some of them seem to get more joys (see lack of posts after preseason game 2) out of losing then winning.

It is far more likely you will be gone. Just a more likely scenario than a blast.

Found story linked to Topix but TBD does not appear to have it. http://www.topix.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/200...eason-for-bills The way Jim Kelly sees it, a lot of folks in the Buffalo Bills organization will be seeking employment in 2010 if they don't win this season. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-9-199...-for-Bills.html Too late news (August 20) to submit to TBD but figured some here might have missed it.

Stadium for all of the money spent was poorly designed. Punt hits video screen at new Cowboys Stadium http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...rn=nfl%2C184487 NFL should do RIGHT thing - penalize Cowpokes every time it happens - rather than just rekick it.

He is not worth millions - he owes creditors millions and constantly avoided having to pay it back by selling his assets. -
Sounds like someone with first hand knowledge. A Kelsay stalker, yuck!

Programming note: Hunter's Hope Radiothon on WGR

No idea about the other site. When WGR stopped streaming from their site I stopped being a very casual listener. There was a lot of controversy at time regarding streaming radio. No idea someone else picked up the slack for them. -

Do you like an 18 game regular season?
BillsWatch replied to Vetriano's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Better solution is to add games to playoff schedule rather than more regular games IMO. Rather than two games before championship games make it three. Players would like this, a better chance to get bonus money, teams who are successful would get more games (add moronic ding on Bills here) and teams whose season is over would not be beating a dead dog (except Eagles). A longer season would just result in more injuries in which teams (meaning fans and advertisers) would be playing players to sit out/ Regarding preseason games, as long as players can hold out because they do want bonus money but not honor terms of contract, are needed to get players in sync. They should agree with NFLPA to large penalties before giving up pre-season games. -

Anybody listen to any part of show. WGR no longer streams as far as I know. Still going on today. -
Exactly. They never get any credits from me because I block the ad sentinels but that is a perfect example of throw crap and see what sticks to walls. Whatever leftover goes in his food dish.
