  1. Jonas "Can not stay healthy" Jennings? This proves you are just throwing crap out there trying to make front office look bad. Jennings could not even stay healthy when he played for Bills and only was serviceable because we had a decent swing OT who could play for stretches when he got dinged up in a game or for a few games. You are seem more senile then frustrated.
  2. Each of them would have to be paid more than $65K to be involved so your expectations are too high.
  3. It would be worth it to Bills IMO. He appears in articles to be attempting to instigate issues. Then I doubt he actually watches it from his writing and only way to prove would be for a camera to be mounted on his head pointed at what he was watching during game and I'd still argue the Heisenberg uncertainty principle applies and it is more likely he is paying attention because the camera was there. He is trying to create a story not report on it.
  4. In March during FA open season. According to NFL.com on Adam Schefter: http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/03/03/bills-sign-cb-florence/ Former Chargers and Jaguars cornerback Drayton Florence has agreed to terms with the Bills on a two-year deal worth $6.6 million. The deal can grow to $7.3 million with incentives. It appears he will be getting starting job rather than Corner. He was out injured for NE game.
  5. We will find out on Thursday. Bills filed for three day extension
  6. It appeared that Josh Reed had not touched the ground but another player with neither knee nor shoulder just like the McKelvin play week 1 but if referee blew whistle there is nothing the Bills can do except read another apology letter.
  7. Register on Buffalo S'News and post replies to his articles. Some are and calling him out on his attitude. It is not his job to instigate problems either. Bills ought to tell him he will only get time when rest of opposing press get time. I doubt he goes to game (he appears to be one of those who reports news via stats sheet) but if he does tell him he will need to sit with opposing teams press.
  8. This is the reason why Parrish has not been used on kickoff teams in past. As a punt returner he can dodge between blockers but on kickoff teams he is not as effective.
  9. The boo birds are often a mindless mob. They were booing because McKelvin was not on kick return team during home opener last week without knowing that McKelvin had injured his ankle. They will often boo on penalties when referees have made the correct call as clearly shown on screen and coach does not throw flag wastefully. The same mentality does the wave when on offense and sometimes have made so much noise that our offense has had to ask crowd to quiet down. The masses can not be used as a meaningful judge.
  10. This makes him unlike some in the press who just read stats to determine what happened. Once again Bills defense was on fumes due to injuries and fatigue from offense not doing their job and special teams alternating from great to absolutely disappointing.
  11. Watched it last night and found the side plot threads with Doctor Sanders / November more interesting than main plot thread. I think I missed the cliffhanger though since I did not see conclusion of Alpha thread. Victor and Sierra did not get much play in this episode. Mellie was mentioned but I think they are not likely to bring her back other than as a guest star, maybe even a client. Like Babylon 5 it supposedly has a 5 year plan for characters. I think that is probably over stated and Whedon probably has notes on possible threads rather than plans. I heard it was supposed the lowest ranked series to be renewed in history (even lower than Eureka, someone tell DC Tom).
  12. Sort of like Jacksonville so Jacksonville must be very close to reality. I have worked in Jacksonville and found small towns in midwest more interesting than Jacksonville. I'd choose Buffalo any day rather than Jacksonville.
  13. Great articles and I agree about some of the odd choice of seniors committee but regarding that seniors committee how would they determine who were official football historians and who were not?
  14. It is not all rationalization. What really feeds early game sellouts is the ability for season ticket holders to buy extra tickets, many of which go directly in scalpers hands. I know tickets are available from other sources and I know that Bills tickets cost are on average lowest in league but this practice results in some attempting to get tickets and finding out only later games are available and never organizing a group to attend. I do not know if NFL will allow it but if they do Buffalo ought to look at "demand pricing" where earlier (or higher demand) games cost more from Bills allowing them to lower prices on later games. Season ticket holders would not pay any additional money but prices Bills get would reflect more the market value. I have seen this model used in other sports and it has been successful in selling seats which otherwise would be unsold or given away/bought by sponsor or team.
  15. Nothing to do with Bills. Just some lame attempt at humor.
  16. It does appear that the special teams are less special. Maybe it is because of large turnover, perhaps Bills did what many claimed they wanted them to do - concentrate on depth on offense and defense rather than special teams, or hopefully they have not got their full legs underneath with all of vanilla preseason and number of injuries.
  17. I didn't say I thought it was realistic (Jerry Rice had 197 TDs in 21 years, TO has 140 TDs in 14 years) but I thinks he think he can last as long as Jerry Rice as long as he does not have a serious injury so it is possible to obtain considering some of the changes favoring offenses if he finds the right team. Sometimes having unrealistic goals helps and sometimes it hurts. I think this year was all about salvaging his reputation as a team player so he could pick where he goes next.
  18. Incorrect as I posted earlier. A player can choose whether to sign an offer or not which means he could have spoke to Green Bay first.
  19. Maybe it is not good for driver but for passengers it helps.
  20. As a color analyst Flutie will do fine. The UFL will not only give players chance to showcase themselves like USFL did but other positions as well. Too bad they did not announce UFL would be on Versus before I dropped sports tier. I would have waited a few months.
  21. Someone throw the mutt a SKOOBY snack. I am out.
  22. Actually he (Meredith) had the choice. He could have chosen to not sign Bills' offer and remained on Green Bay's PS or spoken to Green Bay's front office to see if they were interested in signing him to active squad. I do not know if Meredith's agent asked Green Bay's front office but if he was doing his job and Meredith thought he had a chance for playing time and Packers' blocking scheme fitted him he could have chosen not to go to Buffalo. Of course he may have wanted to get out of cold of Green Bay.
  23. No other team has seen anyone worth what they are asking for on scrap heap either. If Bills do not pay as much as some want, some criticize; if Bills do pay for what some want, some criticize, sometimes same people. As Marv said "When you start listening to fans you start sitting with them". Bills' staff saw him play in person during preseason and had him rated by scouts when looking at draft which is probably why they decided to sign him. If he does not work out they can release him and sign him to practice squad if he passes waivers. He is reported as athletic with a good head on his shoulders. Second best time for offensive linemen in scouting combine. He's played every position on the line, so he's versatile. He played for Steve Spurrier (remember the high priced coach some here praised $nyder for signing?) which indicates he will be more likely to pick up NFL game quicker. Some in Carolina said he needed stronger OL coaching and Sean Kugler will provide that to him.
