  1. The only way Marv would come out of retirement is if he had a brilliant find in another league (CFL, college, etc) and the only way to bring this pupil in would be taking head coach job and giving this assistant head coach job most of the duties so Marv would not get burned out in the massive number of hours coaching staff put in. He would not want to kill himself as full time head coach.
  2. It would require sacrificing draft picks and Bills can ill afford that. End of discussion as far as my opinion. Even inquiring with agent could be looked as interference by NFL and might result in draft pick penalty.
  3. The Looney Tunes characters are what make Space Jam so good of a movie other than Dan Aykroyd (if you do not understand this watch the movie again). Lola Bunny would have been a good addition to cast if Looney Tunes had made more movies and cartoons other than the dumbing down of it for children TV. Duck Dodgers is only cartoon worthy of Looney Tunes since Space Jam. And yes I am the other genius who voted for Wiley.
  4. Not sure that is a bad thing.... And they were talking about interim coach which April rightly thought he had a right to apply for since he was assistant head coach.
  5. Hopefully SDS will just create a Quitter's board in Archive section and every time the poster posts a thread saying he or she quits just move thread there for posterity.
  6. Maybe Mr Wonderful is Al Davis's shrink on the side. Did you consider that? That would prove he is just professionally incompetent but qualified to make a poor judgment.
  7. Don't confuse him with facts! Just because YOU do not know any does not mean there are not any; maybe you take too much levitra and are suffering from side effects? I know a 94 year old business man still running a multiple million dollar real estate company with almost 100 employees. Maybe you are saying NFL which is an extremely limited set of people.
  8. Willis does not like Italian and Illo's is in Blasdell, my native town, not Buffalo. And from what I heard from someone who was working at Illo's was Jimbo had mentioned Grimm several times in conversation. It is possible Jimbo will ask Cowher for his opinion of Grimm as head coach. It is also possible that they were just talking football playoffs and Grimm was mentioned just as someone who was doing a good job.
  9. It doesn't appear that you do root for Bills so it is not stopping you now. Too many or not enough?
  10. Or the Jason Peters ball licking threads as well.
  11. Congratulations. Make sure the offer is iron clad before you physically move. I knew someone who moved and on first day was told his services were no longer needed and they would not pay any of the expenses; person signing him did not have authorization to sign.
  12. Are you talking about posting experience? Why not Madden. He would need to get someone else to coach the away games since he does not fly anymore.
  13. Considering number of MJ smokers in Buffalo I think they need to remake "Pineapple Express" there. For those unaware of the connection the lead character in "Pineapple Express" was chain smoking pot head whose job was court-process clerk.
  14. What current players have played in the Snoop Bowl? It has been going on for 8 years.
  15. Owens will go back to Buffalo only if no other viable options exist. Owens wants a team with a prolific QB so he can catch a lot of passes and TDs. Cowher would bring a controlled game which would not fit him and Billick has not shown capable of developing an offense without high power players like he had in Minnesota. What would fit Owens would be a run and shoot style offense, of which there not many more, or a west coast offense.
  16. Bill Parcells is not a coach any more and I do not he is afraid of VPs.
  17. Past: Tasker - far underutilized because Levy depended on him so much for special teams. Current: Moorman - he will do anything they let him to do on the field
  18. Make sure you read fine print. Evidently it will cost you money paying to both phone service AND Google if you decide to terminate contract.
  19. Yeah I remember the old days of newspapers even doing typesetting in basement being paid per piece of type and being penalized for every mistake. Editing used to be a career path back then. I agree that was the good old days when putting type to paper required being able to think. April was a good coach and earned the right to go where he wanted to and let the new front office and coaches determine who can salvage the Bills and what priority different parts of team will get. The new head coach can even hire Danny Smith as Special Teams Coordinator if he does not think Special Teams is a priority.
  20. TSA has always been a joke. The whole idea is to make the masses comfortable with flying again so they will spend their money.
  21. It depends on who is available. Having the #1 pick is not always an advantage considering how much the #1 gets paid. It is hard for many teams to trade out of top 5. It is possible for a owner to tell team to do everything they can to win game to save the money.
  22. Shanahan probably negotiated a longer contract at lower amount knowing that $nyder's coaches rarely have to work entire contract. Two years at $7 million per year and $21 million severance pay sounds pretty good.
  23. I agree Poojer that journalism standards have dropped. When I was assistant to editor in 80's the editor told the reporters, copy editor and assistant editors that he was recording any errors and they would be taken in consideration during review time. Even those doing ad copy and classifieds were under scrutiny. During this period they did not have the currently available resources - automatic spell checkers, software to check syntax and on-line references - to help do their job. Today it appears that copy comes directly from the writers without editing and when problems are pointed out the articles often it is treated as nit picking rather than anything wrong with product. I sent an e-mail to an editor regarding an article which incorrectly listed a player as playing for Bills. His response was the article was written fine and the article regarding the player was valid even if the player was not playing professional football anymore.
  24. Ridiculous. He had an option in his clause he negotiated when he got his promotion to Assistant Head Coach which he exercised when he had the right to do so. The was nothing the Bills could do about it and if they attempted to try some legal trickery to try to keep him it would hurt chances of signing a new coach due to the bad press with no guarantee new head coach would want to keep him on staff. Oh and the mentioned LT sat out all of training camp and went into season out of shape last year resulting in him be ineffective for good portion of season. He also had a minor injury and sat out of end of season; the same player was reported doing other things, among them playing golf, while too injured to play. Tuesday please follow another team and stop the stupid sniveling and drooling.
  25. Ralph has forgotten more than you have every known.
