Justin Bannan to Denver, 5 year deal
BillsWatch replied to Cornerville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I got a lot of Baltimore games here and the Ravens opponents were often chipping him with a RB or TE when he was inserted. Even part time he made a lot of tackles. Good for him but I doubt he lasts 5 years. -

Some of the plug ins are not compatible with latest Firefox 'upgraded' software so when it upgrades it deactivates your plug in being incompatible. Flash block is a plug in to Firefox which turns off flash replacing it with an arrow in a circle so you can choose if you wish to use see it. Very useful for sites which use a lot of flash ads. Sometimes when a plug is no longer installed the directory there still is a registry entry which causes the browser to crash. You could try using one of the free tweak now tools for windows to clean or fix registry. http://www.tweaknow.com/

Yes. One of the recent patches for security made it a bit less stable and took away some key plugins like flash block so I just reloaded it from previous version and it is stable again. General rule: Most secure system == not used system I do a lot of proactive stuff with Firefox clearing plugins no longer needed, turning off plugins I have no interest in, messing with configuration file and almost never have problem unless server is running Microsoft. I have used text only browsers but not Lynx. I'll give it a try. I also like SeaMonkey for some tasks especially since it has edit capabilies built in. On my Debian Linux box I use IceWeasel which is a modified Firefox brower.

Peter Parker has always had financial issues losing job with Daily Bugle. Nothing new just repackaged for (not New York) Times. -
Is there living in VA? I do not think so but in general job market it is one of best. I like the variety of restaurants, availability of ethnic grocery stores, decent Chinese community (my wife is Chinese) and competition between DC, VA and MD resulting in lower prices sometimes. I dislike the weather, traffic, disorganization, so many government jobs which skew jobs in area, and the road system here which is terribly unplanned. In VA it is particularly bad due to fact it is a Commonwealth not a state and dominated by Richmond. They are adding pay roads to beltway causing massive commuting issues just for those who are willing to pay extra - they are creating demand by disruption using our tax dollars. I live in Alexandria (outside of beltway in Fairfax County) and I have been fortunate to have a job which does not require me to usually use beltway or I-95 / I-66 for last 5 years but it will not last.

I'd be more impressed if they did a north and south polar shot photo compositions.

Anyone think Whaley suggested the non re-signs?

Production != Stats. Reed was plenty productive for Bills in run game blocking, getting balls when QB could throw them, etc. I think it was age/injuries catching up, cap number, and they are doing what hey did with Andre Reed and let him check other teams before deciding I heard from someone that knows Reed via charity work that Bills had discussions with him but later decided to let him test the market. I think it will come back to bite Bills. -
The Official Canada Olympic Hockey Thread

Why would a "Official Canada Olympic Hockey Thread" be on main board? Is football a new Olympic sport? -
He is working on his Eric Flowers impersonation!

New Spin On Shanny Not Coming To Buffalo?

Or instability of fans in Lockport either Sounds like Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis who is hen-pecked and his wife rejected Buffalo due to schools after he said he was interested. -

Jay is too big to fit in his seat (with all of his admirers). -
Schobel is overweight? He lost significant amount of weight from his playing weight a few years ago. Obviously you just watch stats or fantasy football.

Every single mock draft is worth zero. Multiply it by number of mock draft that is a lot of zeros but still a zero.

Nobody important I think. Take this quote in Rochester D & C: Buffalo might risk trading drown to pick Dan Williams, Jared Odrick or Brian Price later in the first round, but many fans probably wouldn't approve. Who cares? Fans are fickle and rarely know much of anything no matter how much Fantasy Football they play and how many mock drafts they create.

It is just a Colts blog but I thought that Polian was universally declared as a GM guru who did not draft any busts? http://www.stampedeblue.com/2010/2/20/1318957/2010/2/20/1318957/a-new-offensive-line-philosophy?ref=CBS The recent woes of the o-line in short yardage, and in running yardage period, have not been the result of a philosophy. When Tarik Glenn and Adam Meadows were working up front, the Colts were able to run the football with tremendous results. The issue with the current o-line is that Polian has busted two high round picks: Tony Ugoh and Mike Pollak. Both players suck, and when you spend back-to-back second round picks in consecutive years on crappy talent, it is going to hurt your o-line. The key is not to bring in "bigger" guys. The key is for Polian to draft guys who "do not suck." Remember, Glenn and Meadows were not drafted by Bill Polian. Former VP of Football Operations Bill Tobin took those guys in 1997, the year before Polian was hired.

T.O. back with the Bills in 2010?
BillsWatch replied to machinegun12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only reason to bring back TO in my opinion is if they find some team hot to trade for one trick pony Evans and they need some veteran leadership. TO showed he could be mature on a team for a year but I do not think TO and Evans complement each other well. -

Not surprising considering he appeared to have better options out side of football.

I'll write in billsfreak. More dysfunctional than both of them combined.

The Buffalo Market is no longer among top 50 markets so top 50 does not apply. Top 100 maybe but Sully being employed shows even that is too high of a standard for Buffalo.

My wife and daughter wanted to go so we went. Harry Potter type of movie but unlike Harry Potter I did not read/force my daughter to read book first although she said she did. Decently constructed movie although plot and actual thief was pretty obvious to me. It had a good secondary cast; the primary ones were too old for their parts unlike the Harry Potter movies where they choose intentionally younger actors. A couple of surprises were in it for me including this non-spoiler: not all of the Greek Gods fit Greek racial types which is either director being PC or a casting director who decided to forget history can just case best actors for role. One additional note - movie does not end at start of credits which is something a lot of movies are doing now since credits are soooooo long. There were a lot of characters unnamed in movie but got credit implying there was fair amount of material left over perhaps for DVD version. We paid AMC matinee price so it was a fair movie value; it is a film which i think shows better on big screen.

new stadium?? be careful what you ask for...
BillsWatch replied to rpcolosi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or watch the moving vans take the Bills away to another city because the Bills tried to milk the cow once too many times. Ralph is not selling unless he has a large health issue. The key will be to find someone who not only wants to and can afford to be an owner but one who is willing to keep it in Buffalo for some reason - nostalgia, low cost of stadium due to sweetheart lease, etc. -
$2,000,000 to be spent on stadium this offseason
BillsWatch replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe they should do for the stadium what amusement parks and municipalities are doing with tight money - create pay lanes. Want to get in stadium faster - use pay lane. Want to get beer faster - use pay lane. Want to leave stadium faster - use pay lane. If a new stadium is built the money will come from PSLs, increased ticket prices, parking, concessions, etc no matter if built in current location, Niagara Falls, where ever. I do not see ground swell of support for such a stadium. Maybe someone will do something useful and find the money first then ask for a stadium. I do not hear many people offering to pay those outrageous prices being charged to Dallass fans. It would help if the Bills had more events on before game to encourage more to go in early. Seeing some players stretching is not going to encourage people to go into stadium more than half an hour prior to games. Maybe they could have discounts on beers an hour before the game inside stadium.
