My wife has her own business, NO sales people, does not do cold calls and can not answer calls anymore without being bothered by telemarketers (many of them have moved to calling small businesses since they are not protected) so does not even bother answering phone anymore and only checks messages. Yes they are cold collers and yes she has a job without making cold calls.
And who I work for does not matter since I am doing it on my day off.
I do not think the big mistake was hiring GW, I think it was allowing GW to bring in any coach he wanted to including a lot of coaches who were good "teachers" but had little experience. If they HAD good coaches then Milke Williams might have developed by 2nd year rather than late in 2rd year and then get hurt ruining progress.
Second biggest mistake was promoting Rusty against his will just so MM could bring in his own Strength and Conditioning coach - if it is not broke, do not break it!
And it may be just someone trying to bring on more heat to Mularchy because they do not like him. There have been plenty of leaks which turned out completely bogus.
Doing the wave when your team is on offense is dumber especially after players motioned the crowd to stop it. So is as a season ticket holder buy 100 extra tickets and selling them to opposition.
When I get the calls I make sure I get name, company & phone number (I have been pretty good at getting them too) and then tell them I am on the do not call list and I am reporting them. I do too. I mostly get calls from local contractors ("We are in the area") and firms trying to sell me timeshare services.
Too bad the rule does not apply to businesses calling businesses; my wife gets them all of the time and when I have a day off during week I spend time hitting redial button and constantly bothering them.
QB 1976-1985. Among the top 10 some years for QBs
I avoided football most of college years; I was told I could not play anymore and as a Freshman on a Senior team I was asked where I was considering college. Started watching football after I left college so I neve saw Todd play.
How soon people forget Fletcher. He certainly was not a star in St Louis but has become one for Buffalo.
I agree about the over 30 club (Bledsoe, Vincent, Malloy)
Nonsense. Jacksonville gave it them using a QB who hadn't played for a long time. Who plays who at what time has been determined for a long time; Pittsburgh at Cinci is on because Cinci was the #3 team and the better record teams play on Sunday leaving the leftovers for Saturday evening.
Don't let your revusion of a team fog up your brain!
That changes when you are GM. You invest time, signing bonus (players) and guarenteed salaries (coaches). At the very minimum you need to buy your way out. If Willis has a great season next year and Rosenass wants out, do you think Marv is going to say "Go. I know you are unhappy and because Miami lost its backs to prison, you are welcome to go to Miami?" Nope. At minimum a player is traded and a coach goes because the coach agrees to resign.
Speculation, false information from agents, inflated stats, whining, lies, aked medical records, jockeying for power, cell phone luffs, endless mock drafts, slanted profiles, etc
Most exciting but that does not make it interesting
