I think several teams which are way over cap and with over priced players on books want an uncapped year so they can dump without being penalized for it.

He did the numbers and told of the results with pluses and minues but Donahoe and Butler made the decisions if he chances were worth it or not. Overdorf wil now get more input on not only the cap but whether it is risk worth taking or not.

OQC is probably a better position for him because 1. They have a novice OC. 2. They have a head coach w/o offense coaching experience 3. Qbs either have it or don't - QB coach can only do so much and Wyche was one of the best 4. From booth he probably saw more film than most of the coaches other than Smith 5. OQC gives him access to all parts of offense not just QB and Alex was well known for diagnosing defenses. Murphy must be estatic!

Eddie I hate to differ with you but how many people actually pay to see hockey games in Buffalo? If people DID go they would be taking money they would be paying for a regular game and depress sales of several regular games. You would have some come into town just for this game but most of the people going would be the same fans who see them downtown.

If Thurman wants a Superbowl ring he can get one - just join the staff of a upcoming team. Not only players get rings but coaches, assistants, front office, etc. Rings are overrated for even backup players who do not even play in game get one.

I like getting rid of the old and slow safeties. Not a position where large amount of veteran money ought to be invested. I think Moulds will sign an extension at a decent rate (he has cautioned other players about changing teams) and retire in Buffalo so will not be replaced. What has Greg Jerman shown to be worth keeping at his rate especially as #3 in depth chart? Denney has shown he can be productive and versitle and he plays special teama; I think he stays. Sam Adams does not have enough in tank left to be starter any more. And while I do not know college football I think it would be easier to read your depth chart if picks were prefixed with pick and maybe in red for rookie. i.e. Davin Joseph (3a)

I'd share Bills with Toronto. Let Bills play two preseason games (and train in Canada when the camp contract runs out) and then have regular season in Buffalo. Those who live in Rochester would be mad but it would be worth it to season ticket holders who would not need to pay for "pretend" games.

Actually I have been told the best thing is to put it in the open. I guess you want it completely on the table. I think the problem with main board is that every Bills fan who finds it posts there and you have the same argument year after year trying to say "I was right". Many posts on Football wall are repeats with names changed. On OTW you get the same cracks (digs on political stuff leaking from "Politics, Polls, and Pundits" again which is just opinions not facts but the mods there banned the people and feel the need to continue sniping out of season) but there are a lot more variety of subjects so there is less of a rutt. You also get less casual posters so there are less crap shots making a monkeys' asses out of themselves. Oh and you also get less of the phony aliases on OTW but on the other hand you do not have a mod like we do on the main wall who outs people to his fellow NE football fans who happen to be Patriot fans.

Lester is an expert at breaking down film which is why he stays; while he does some coaching (i.e. reps) he is mostly a mechanic rather than a coach. Unless a coach wants to bring in his own man (like Mularchy did for Rusty's inadequete replacement) there is no need to replace him. Lester is not known for talking to media other than Berman hence is not likely to be a leak.

Not the only one but the only one who usually make sense. Marv has a sharp mind and decades of football experience. He was instrumental in bring many people to Buffalo INCLUDING some of the front office staff he worked for. Marv will definitely be helping decide which players to draft and I suspect he will be part of staff interviewing in Indianapolis during combine.

I think Alex would do a great job. Every QB who has worked with him said he had a sharp mind and taught him as much as coaches. Shame if UB were to lose him but it time for Bills to come first.

I thought Denney was signed for extension last year but he wasn't according to several reports that he is a free agent so unless Bills pony up a fair amount of change Denney will not be starting. I think Bills will have Kelsay start, hope 2nd year was a sophmore slump, look for depth and hope for the best. Bills have other needs at the time.
