  1. Maybe SDS would allow you to update front page of TBD with that information in a media block when it changes.
  2. Every player who is possible to have a headset will probably have two helmets - one with radio and one without. It will only hurt teams during hurry up offenses when players will be not be able to substituted easily. They could do it all electronically but then someone neutral would need to turn on / turn off helmet access to coach.
  3. http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10744621 Notes: Full article requires Free membership but essential info is here. The Giants are the latest victims of the big money madness that's slowing financing down to a near standstill across the economic landscape. For professional sports, the credit freeze is stalling and threatening new stadiums and arenas that fans are eagerly awaiting. The problem is that team owners have increasingly been tapping the same money pools that towns and cities traditionally use to build roads and other public projects. Analysts said that open-auction borrowing for the public projects - including venues for professional baseball, basketball and football - has collapsed from the lack of available funds, as well as the reluctance of well-heeled investors to lend money - except at very high prices. In the case of the two families that own the Giants - the Mara and Tisch clans - their Super Bowl champs are finding closed doors as they try to raise money at reasonable rates to finish the stadium by 2011 as planned. The Giants are being floored by whopping interest rates of up to 22 percent for construction money, which is certain to show up as higher ticket and hot dog prices. 22%? That is an outrageous interest rate but I understand why the big investors are investing elsewhere with dollar dropping. They ought to try selling bonds to their fans as souvenirs at lower rates although with high enough to recover increases in ticket costs coming soon. When bonds are paid off they can be marked as paid and hung on walls.
  4. Or they can just tie it in a bun or tuck it under their jersey. Players who complain about this are so self-centered they are forgetting this is a multi billion dollar sport and people in other jobs have limitations too.
  5. Confusing people with preconceived ideas with facts is very cruel!
  6. http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10740525 The NFL's Thursday night season opener will match the Super Bowl-champion New York Giants and the Washington Redskins, with the game possibly starting an hour-and-a-half earlier to avoid clashing with the Republican National Convention. The Super Bowl winner traditionally hosts the game. The Redskins' participation was confirmed by a person familiar with the NFL schedule who spoke on condition of anonymity because the league has not announced it. Is that the best they got? Conflict with political convention so they include Washington. Great. Washinton is also in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game.
  7. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10740035 The NFL is considering starting its Thursday night season opener an hour-and-a-half earlier to avoid clashing with the Republican National Convention. The game, in which the Super Bowl-champion New York Giants will be the home team, now is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EDT on Sept. 4 and will be televised by NBC. League spokesman Greg Aiello said Wednesday that the NFL is talking with the network about changing the game's starting time to 7 p.m. Damn politicians are ruining our football season! The highlight games of the NFL's first weekend, including the Giants' opponent for the opener, will be announced Monday during league meetings in Palm Beach, Fla. The rest of the schedule will be announced later next month. By that point I'll have to specify rest of my time off. Get it done before the draft people. It should not take thisl long.
  8. Trent bashers never smell the fart since they are used to the smell from having their heads up their asses so often.
  9. They are questioning whether they have the budget to battle an army of NRA laywers who will claim that they are trying to take away a fundimental right.
  10. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insider/new...%3fid%3d3309135 20. Lee Evans Buffalo Bills He is a speed receiver who has really never been able to hit his full potential, but that has to do more with his offensive system than him. It is hard to move Evans up this list because his numbers don't merit it, but we wonder how good he could be if he had a legit starting quarterback getting him the ball. His speed makes him one of the more feared vertical threats in the NFL. Neither Losman nor Trent is considered legit starting quarterback according to them. Hard to judge for a 3rd round rookie but does not look like they would think trading an early round pick for Losman would be a good idea. I hope our offense plays lights out with both QBs seen as more valuable by end of year. I also think TO was greatly overrated; more than one offense shut him down.
  11. I am sure there will be some idiotic folks which noodles are fizzled with short hairs from Losman in their teeth.
  12. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080325/lf_nm/...using_vacant_dc In western New York, the city of Buffalo filed a lawsuit on February 21 against 36 lenders -- including big names like JPMorgan Chase & Co Inc and Countrywide Financial Corp -- who were involved in 57 foreclosures that led to properties being abandoned and ultimately demolished by authorities. The struggling Rust Belt city, plagued by about 10,000 vacant homes and commercial buildings, estimated the 57 foreclosures cost Buffalo $1 million in demolition work and another $1 million in nuisance costs -- from police patrols to boarding up buildings, to the social toll on communities. "We have found homicide victims in these structures," Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said in a telephone interview. "Dog fighting has taken place in these structures. Drug dealing has been conducted. Last year one of our fire fighters was critically injured, losing one of his legs from the knee down, fighting a fire at a vacant structure," he said. Good Buffalo is fighting back. It is not all preditory lending however. Too many people tried flipping houses when housing prices waere rising forgetting that sooner or later what goes up must come down.
  13. GoDaddy changed documentation requirements after I registered my first domain requiring printed, notarized information. I told them it was not a requirement stated on registration forms and I was not supplying it and they would not allow me access to account to make changes until I provided it so I just went to another company at renewal time (pairNIC) when domain expired and reregistered with them. GoDaddy seems set up for people who have a bunch of domains. Since I was registering them one or two at a time for different people with me as technical contact it became difficult dealing with them.
  14. I'd recommend pairNIC. I use to use GoDaddy and had a few problems. Not one since I switched to pairNIC.
  15. Even less in Venezuela. I think he meant highly developed countries oil dependant.
  16. Take your pick AP: http://sports.myway.com/news/03242008/v7052.html ESPN: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3310056 CBS: http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10734939
  17. A backup QB who holds out is risking taking a shot from a fellow player in camp who resents getting beat up and unintentially hits him too hard. He also would look inept in preseason which is when he needs to shine. I do not think Losman will hold out.
  18. I am afraid it is not as easy as some people say to carpool. In order to go to work by bus I'd have to take 3 different buses from two different systems paying twice to go less than 10 miles running a route all over area and the buses only run during overtime. My employer's client does not make it easy to commute by metro for they will not allow buses on property for 'security' concerns since 9/11. Nobody at work coming from my direction currently works same hours I do so carpooling is not an option although I used to when I had a friend/coworker renting a week. I guess you are saying I should take a job which is inside beltway just to make commuting easier. Companies are not going to change work schedules to make it easier to carpool. My wife and I combine trips to save gas doing shopping, bank runs and deliveries at same time. It affects us most on decisions on vacation - cost of gas is decreasing chance of any trips by car and the raising of airfare due to gas prices decreases interest in flying.
  19. It only makes a difference if you are a Nielson family. Otherwise only impact other viewers have is when they have something which "polls" users like 900 numbers or occasionally a commercial which you need a code from a TV to get something.
  20. Not likely considering number of cast members and cost IMO.
  21. I read "The Exploration of Space" as a 7 year old kid and found it fascinating. I did not find his fiction as good as his non-fiction but the world has lost a great author.
  22. Many of the replies sound like threads from various boards of TSW.
  23. Add http://www.kayak.com/ to list of sites to use for looking for deals. It checks many sites and includes Southwest. Great interface even if you have to register to save settings.
  24. Why else would Toronto take preseason games other than to sell them out? The Bills promised schedulers would not schedule bottom feeders. Bills vs Lions is not likely to sell out and this is keeping the promise and increasing likelyhood of more sell outs as those locals who go to game tell it was a decent game for a practice game.
  25. Updated avatar and photo even though I do not post very often hence not many will be encountering either.
