Photo - Robert Royal from Tuesday Practice
BillsWatch replied to macnmotion's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mama Royal watchs the game at Jimmy's I can ask Mama to get Robert to sign the photo if you want. I can print it out at work or you can send me the photo. Mama Royal invited us to player tailgate after Washington game but ride was too tired. -
It would be a nice place to have camp at being cooler than Rochester.

FedEx Field is a Joke and other game notes

I sat in 214 which is a corner seat and under an overhang with a restricted view but it was ok as the seller said except for the kicks. Later I moved down to row 2 (row 4 really, rows 1-2 are a exclusive booth) in section 105 and view, especially of the cheerleaders, was great. Comments on stadium: Yes parking is terrible and it has been stated for years but public transportation was part of the formula for the stadium and it was thrown out of window this year by Department on No Transportation this year. No surprise that most of those who run it never had to take buses or other such transportation. Metro was not an option since Metro could not provide shuttles. The Ralph's score and video boards are so much better than this stadium's. Even the old score and video board were better. One half on the video board was occupied by a graphics display creatable by a junior high schooler. The video board was much smaller than the one at the Ralph. No police direction in inner parking lots so people just walked where ever they felt like. First food sale I saw was Famous Dave's selling a whole rack of ribs for $20 and beans for $1. I thought great a stadium that understood you could make money without charging a fortune and then I saw all of the other sales. The stadium feels smaller than the Ralph despite fitting more people; never tried the nose bleed seats accessible via escalator but the reason I think it feels smaller is because you are closer in lower levels to field. Very little space on sideline and endzone with cameramen and cheerleaders getting tangled. For $25 not too bad. Regular price atrocious. -
Darian Barnes was on the field way too much
BillsWatch replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It appears that they had extra TEs / FB in because their best blocking WR was out, last year's starting TE was out on strike or checked into Ricky William's church (equally likely from what he has communcated), and they wanted to limit number of hits on QBs by opposing players. -
I was at the game surrounded by Redsuck fans and the comments after the Shouman pass was they got away with something one even very vocally declaring Zebras need their preseason warm ups too. Now opinions from fans are just like fans on bulletin boards except they are in person not reading a review or a infantile blog hence are usually better informed.

Gives some reason for someone to buy the thousands of scalper tickets at that game.

I am surprised that ebay is not loaded with these shirts. I was equivalant to foreign aid to be given these shirts. I disagree with first paragraph: IN A PERFECT WORLD, the hat would be sitting on Tom Brady's mantel and the woman holding the hat in an impoverished and remote village in Central America would still have her teeth. It was perfect for them to not get the trophey after cheating.

I got this e-mail from Jimmy from another Bills Backer Group: Backers, For those of you going to the game, we have a central spot for you all to gather and tailgate as a chapter!!! Fellow Bills Backer Chris will be in Orange Lot E2 off of Brightstreet Rd. at around 430pm with a group of other Bills fans. I have attached the link for the stadium parking map below. He will have a tent of some sort, tables, grills, coolers and Kan Jam and will be tailgating in front of navy blue Nissan Murano and green "full-size" Ford PickUp. It will be BYO beer and BYO food but should be a great tailgate if everyone meets there to represent the DC Chapter. If you have issues finding the tailgate you can contact Chris at (716)-510-7755. Be sure to thank him for helping us out with hosting this sanctioned "Bills Backer Tailgate" and have a safe and fun time!!! http://redskins.com/tickets/article.jsp?id=37485 GO BILLS, Jared Simmons - jim_kelly_fan AT yahoo.com

Warning for those unaware of this: The team used to charter shuttle buses from Metro, but new federal guidelines by Department of no Transportation prohibit public transit agencies from providing charter bus service if private companies are available to provide the service. Last year, Metro chartered nearly 2,500 buses for revenue of $1.6 million. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...8080503094.html The choice is walking, getting dropped off (last year they prevented people from doing so due to safety hazzard to $nyder's wallet) or parking at stadium which has far too few parking spots. It is .9 miles walk from Morgan Blvd. station to stadium. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=...055275&z=14

Farve also has not been working out like he did last season where he supposedly was in best shape of his career. Also something on whether teams can control where players go after being traded: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp...tory?id=3522971 The NFL Network also is reporting that the Packers took great pains to ensure that Favre would not be traded to the Vikings by inserting a "poison pill" in the deal. If Favre were to be traded to Minnesota, New York would have to surrender three first-round picks to Green Bay.

If anybody is looking for tickets and is local, some are dumping them on craigslist http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/search/...&maxAsk=150 If you are not local the trouble will be getting them in time. For regulars interested I can let you mail them to my house in Alexandria, about 20 miles from Fed Up Field.

Official "I will be at the Tailgate" thread
BillsWatch replied to Just Jack's topic in TBD Annual Tailgate (TBDAHOT)'s Topics
I hope to be at Tailgate but as always work refuses to guarentee dates. I only need 1 ticket so will prbably just show up if I can go but can not make plans. -
That is the risk especially scalpers face.

Those who do the wave when Bills have the ball are not Bills fans - they are drunk soccer fans looking for a party and got lost.

I don't think he should get paid squat if he does not go. And if he is going to blow out the knee why give him a raise and ANOTHER signing bonus Bills will need to sign replacement. As long as he can hold out for a raise he can do it every year and is rewarded for it he feels being underpaid. Bills took a chance in him using a slot for a player not much more than a practice player. He decided to negotiate early like Travis Henry did and take less for more guarenteed two years ago; he should sue his agent for malpractice or incompetence first.

Here is a sample page with four types of icons, two small and two large, representing open in new tab and open in tab under (I typically use latter since I typically open all the links I am going to read first and do not need to add server load by reloading page): http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/865/stadiumwallkl3.png Here are just the eight images stand alone in one composite image - the four mentioned and illustrated above and four more for new windows: http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/7417/st...walliconyp2.png I have bitmap if interested of later composite image. -
At least there is nothing about "Verbal harassment of opposing team members or officials" as they were talking about originally. Of course you need to use "nice" language when you do it.
