The OL gave Drew the best protection of the year.

Eric Moulds needlessly jumping for the ball and consequently stepping out of bounds on the 4th down play early in the 4th quarter was this team in microcosm tonight. All facets of our game were horrendous. Except for the booming punts of B. Moorman. I hate to bring this up again, but I think MM has no faith in Lindell whatsoever. Would this game be any different if Lindell goes out there and nails the 50 yd FG. Who knows. I dont think it would have been any worse. -
we'll see him if the Bills drive in the first quarter goes bad...

It will be Weis v. Gray on Sunday

Agreed. I enjoy your posts FFS. I dont feel like writing the same thing twice, but check out my post. -
How I see it, the most important matchup Sunday night is going to be our pass D v. NE using 5 receiver sets. This offense NE uses features quick 3 to 5 step drops for Brady which allows him to unload the ball very quick. Typically, the completions are of the dink and dunk variety, and we know BUF D's inability to stop this (see any NE game weve lost in the past 2 seasons). This prevents our line from getting consistent pressure and places most of the emphasis on our secondary. Hopefully our secondary steps up. Our run D is better than NE run offense behind an 80% dillon Our run O is better than league avg. NE run D Our pass O is better than depleted NE secondary Our special teams (sans FG kicker) are better than NE Also, Im waiting to see how Lindell performs in a pressure filled kick. Im still scared shitless every time he attempts a FG.

Bills fan rootin 4 playoffs Wade fans say no way

I disagree. We are screwed even if we get 7 losses. We lost to two teams who have a very good chance ending up at 9-7, JAX and BAL. Chances are either SD or DEN will get the other WC spot by going 10-6. I think we are screwed when we reach the 7 loss mark. -

As Berman and Jackson have said, we are in a 2 game season. 1 game down, one to go. We win @NE and we are back in it. We lose, and let the JP era begin. -
Steelers the Best in the NFL? You gotta say yes.

Granted, BUF special teams are 1000x better than BUF special teams 2000, but Lindell still scares the crap out of me. Im not sold on him yet. I think hes gonna lose us at least 1 game this season. Id downgrade that Great to Good. -
I have to redeem myself for my embarassing forecast this past sunday. kickoff- clear and cold with temps in the 30s to near 40...as game goes on temps will be dropping into the 20s. wind shouldnt be a factor tornado

He got a Sam Adams like jump off the line...def no offsides, timed it perfect

I remember Sully's description of McKinnie a month or so back went something like....meanwhile the Vikings are anchored on the left side of the line by McKinnie for the next 10 years....

I was just gonna post that but you beat me too it. His pass protection tonight was absolutely horrendous.

Oh man I totally forgot about that play. I was pissed off for a bit. Until the Bills had their most impressive drive of the season to go up 17-10. Why the hell did Bledsoe spike the ball. Why not run a little fly to the corner of the endzone and let either evans or moulds attempt to make a play. Worst comes to worst the pass falls INC and we kick a FG. Comments?

How about MM and the testicular fortitude he exhibited by going for it on 4th and inches? The result was a 12 yd TD run for McGahee

You've got to give Gray a lot of credit

Good call Z -
I agree with BF here in that we should been playing more of a prevent type defense to take away the quick TD pass, which is what the jets needed with being down by 2 scores with 4 min to go. With that said, the call wasnt that off the wall. Carter came in and was visibly rusty. He gave a sloppy hand off to C martin which directly lead to the safety. His confidence was low and a sac there would have put the proverbial nail in the coffin. If I recall the play correctly, we blitzed both of our safeties. Carter made a nice move to avoid the blitz and threw a good pass. If Milloy makes the tackle and doesnt get burnt, we are talking about how much we like Gray's aggressive play calling and not slipping into the prevent D. I think Milloy should have been able to wrap up carter.

I miss JK's ugly ass, huge, white, hand warmer that use to cosume approximately a third of the front of his jersey. Those were the good days. Maybe Bledsoe shoud invest in one of those?

I will be purchasing a Bills jersey soon...

Moorman....originality -
20-10 Bills...For some reason an image of Evans ripping off a 50 yd end around keeps popping into my head

Up to this point in the season, P. Price has 21 recep. for 386 yds and 2tds (both of which came this past week). He's on pace to finish with 42 receptions and just under 700 yards. These numbers will be worse than the year before, a year when no Vick was throwing to him. Either Price is overrated or he isnt fitting into the west coast offense ATL is using. Basically we got McGahee for Peerless and didnt have to overpay for him like we knew so many teams were going to do. Looks like a great move by Donahoe to me...

It's official - if we beat the Jets

Ok. What Im saying is that the only reason Drew had time was because the D line of the cards is nothing spectacular. The throw Drew made could have been made by any NFL (even Krenzel of the Bears) or college QB. He had his receiver beat by a few steps, and its not like Drew threaded the needle.

I agree. Bledsoe is definitely getting more credit than he deserves. One play stands out in my mind - the TD pass to Euhus (spelling?). It was designed to go to Moulds, but he had time to check down to Euhus and make the throw for a td. If you remember, Euhus was called for a holding penatly one play early which negated a Mcgahee TD. Against even a mediocre pass rush, he wouldnt have time and we would have settled for a FG. I think we would have even won if we had a monkey in at QB on sunday. Bledsoe made on good throw the entire game - that fade to Moulds for a td. Other than that, he was Todd Collins-like.

A few comments about the game. 1. Bledsoe may be one of the worst Qbs at disguising play action. He looks ridiculous. Every time we play action, he attempts to oversell the run way too much. 2. I didnt get to watch all of the game (I missed the first quarter) but what happened to the nifty little shovel pass play to McGahee that worked so well against MIA. I wouldnt mind seeing that once or twice a game. 3. What did Adams eat for breakfast this morning. He was exploding off the line and was getting great penetration on every snap. I thought he was the best defensive player on the field today. A few general comments: 1. I still am not sold on Lindell. Hes gonna lose us at least 1 game this year. 2. Is it me, or do the Bills have the most underrated LBs in the league? Spikes has been tearing it up all season and his entusiasm and heart are terrific. 3. Does anyone get sick to their stomach thinking that Dallas is probably going to have the #4 or 5 overall pick in this upcoming years draft? Lossman better be the next J Kelly. 4. Mularkey reminds me of Mike Tice, but Im guessing his IQ is about 100 pts. higher than Tice's.
