  1. I just saw this on a Sabres message board. I know there's enough Sabres fans here living in WNY who will be affected by this. I've heard that DirecTV is currently in negotiations with MSG about this issue. If you care, send an email or make a phone call - enough people can make a difference. I just got off the phone with DirecTV and was told that they have NO plans of showing Sabres games this year on MSG or any other station. I was told that, living in the Rochester area, I actually am in the Ranger's market. When I asked which market the Sabres are in, I was told that Buffalo does not reside in an NHL market. When I reminded them that the Sabres play IN Buffalo, I was given the run-around and told that they "just go by the zip code". The girl I talked to said that she has received NO calls about this issue and basically had no idea what I was talking about. Again, DirecTV has NO plans of showing the Sabres games this year on MSG or any other station. I threatened to switch to Time Warner Cable and that did not seem to bother them. I would imagine that if more people did the same, they might be bothered enough to do something about the problem. Contact DirecTV and let them have it: By email: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/glb/Form_Feedback.dsp By phone: 1-800-494-4388
  2. Said the tragically intelligent water fowl expert...
  3. Mike Williams has a better chance of going to the Pro Bowl this year than Gallery. Gallery barely saw the starting lineup last year. It's easy to get ideas about a player stuck in your head and be stubborn about it when that player makes strides and improves, especially at a position like tackle that is hard for Joe Fan to evaluate. I guess you don't like Mike Williams or his salary and are still in love with last year's tackle poster boy Robert Gallery even though Big Mike is clearly better at this point in his career. Try basing your opinions on something other than the crap that everyone's been spewing for the past few years. Try mixing in some game tape before busting on offensive linemen.
  4. Who was there that was worth #4 money? Maybe Freeney, but he was considered undersized by nearly everyone at the time and was somewhat of a reach for Indy. I guess you're assuming it's easy to trade out of the top 10? There's a reason teams don't want to draft there, and you're looking at it in Mike Williams' contract. What would you have done???
  5. Thanks for clearing that up. It's good to have somebody on the board who's "in the know" about Area 51, stealth bombers and such. I'll sleep better tonight, that's for sure!
  6. Just kickin it with the band...
  7. Chuck "Sucks" Dickerson? Can't stand that guy! It's all about a personal grudge with him.
  8. The only thing worse than proclaiming to be a regular listener of Rush Limbaugh is using silly words that were coined by Michael Savage. Rock over Limbaugh Rock on Savage Nation Wheaties, the breakfast of champions
  9. Don't grab my ass, metrosexual.
  10. Sorry, I should have said "that slightly less fat hypocritical womanizing drug addict". My bad.
  11. There's got to be quite a few closet Rush fans on this board. Maybe we need someone like Karl Rove to out them. I'll at least give Wacka some credit for sticking by the fat hypocritical drug addict.
  12. Wacka could probably tell you. He listens to Rush all the time.
  13. Nice avatar. What's your favorite NFL team again?
  14. Great post that doesn't even take into account the fact that the McGahee pick was manufactured from the Peerless Price trade, and was pretty much "free".
  15. Thanks for the pop psychologist analysis, but I'm pretty sure I wasn't talking to you and could do without your one liners. That said, I'm sure this will bring on more, as it's clear you love those one liners. It's nice to know that you care, however, and that you are so ready to come to the aid of your internet buddies.
  16. The plan of attack is to make this all about Joe Wilson because he's the one who broke the law.
  17. I'm not perfect, but at least I'll admit it. Why try when there are so many like-minded individuals here to do all the work for you?
  18. Assuming he could have stayed healthier here than he did in Indy. I'd take McGahee over Clark every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
  19. The silence from wannabe GMs everywhere is deafening.
  20. Do you really think that saying things like this makes your point?
  21. It's all just spin, deflection and justification anyway. It still amazes me that so many fairly intelligent people will simply lap up whatever is fed to them by their party of choice. I know there are cases where I am as guilty of this as anyone, but Karl Rove supporters are taking it to a new level. The facts, Jack: 1. He gave her name (or close enough), no matter what the context, and he shouldn't have. 2. The President clearly implied that whoever it was who gave her name would be fired at least. 3. There is now nothing but backtracking, rationalization, spin and damage control from the right. But the bottom line is, no matter what is said or done in support of #3, #1 and #2 remain the same.
