  1. Well, that's what it's really about, right? Warm and fuzzies for you! Congrats on your perceived vindication of W.
  2. The Limbaughs of the country can have health care too. Wouldn't want to infringe on anyone's right to be a fat tub of crap.
  3. Because, as the only current super power left in the world (for now), we should aspire to higher goals. We do not live in a third world country. We should be able to take care of our own and then some.
  4. Look, I didn't say any of that. I'm simply saying that all US citizens should have proper health care in 21st century America. Rhetoric aside, it's a real problem that needs to be solved.
  5. That's !@#$ing perfect!
  6. I'm Shocked. I know we've had our differences, but please give me just a little credit. And please don't take the lord's name in vain!
  7. Really, whiteface?
  8. I'll just say that people don't die from lack of auto insurance. Where's the compassion?
  9. I could use the tickets, but I don't have any for the 13th.
  10. Girlfriend? Seriously? The second grade called and wants its debate tactic back.
  11. I truly believe that you are missing the point.
  12. I tried, really tried to get through this post. It's hopeless.
  13. Well, consumer spending and ill-advised bank loans mostly. But I don't pretend to be able to articulate the intricacies of our financial system and crisis so well as you have done here.
  14. That's quite an understatement.
  15. Yes, your slanted view is so much more objective.
  16. It's called 'herd immunity'. Once you reach a certain threshold of vaccination in the population, the non-vaccinated portion is protected by the vaccinated. Problems arise when the anti-vaccination 'activists' spread lies and misinformation, effectively driving the percentage vaccinated below that threshold. Childhood diseases that should be a thing of the past are now making a comeback: measles, mumps, whooping cough, chicken pox and even polio. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herd_immunity Jenny McCarthy even has her own body count based on her unscientific rants against vaccines. http://www.jennymccarthybodycount.com
  17. Ok, I found it. I haven't read it yet, but I intend to do so. http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/cgi-bin...81238/HTMLSTART
  18. Not any more. Suit up and put on the headset - you're hired!
  19. Because the likelihood of those two things happening are remotely similar? Prepare for the New World Order!
  20. I'm not defending it as a whole, but what is your contention here? Do you think these traits are impossible to quantify?
  21. There conclusions are pretty funny and I definitely read it with a grain of salt.
