  1. Do you think you have free will? Not saying you do or don't, just curious if you've given it much thought. Of course, asking you if you have an opinion about something is like asking if Tom Brady is a B word.
  2. It's certainly possible to out-argue someone by employing bull **** techniques while being logically or even factually incorrect.
  3. This, of course, assumes free will.
  4. Do you want me to list every !@#$ed up thing about every religion? I'm an equal opportunity religion basher, I just know more about the Christians than any other.
  5. Where'd you go jackass? Still waiting for the evidence!!!!!
  6. When your worldview is threatened you can always laugh.
  7. Except that it doesn't really. Ah, religion... How many of these !@#$s would be blowing themselves up if they knew the correct translation? http://theuglytruth.wordpress.com/2007/03/...2-virgins-myth/
  8. I think that finding the truth should be the point, but yes.
  9. This board is so gay sometimes. It's all about winning the argument and missing the point.
  10. You could say that about a LOT of messed-up behaviors. It makes me question the whole good vs. evil thing. If you can't control an evil impulse are you evil for eventually acting upon it? Christians believe that committing suicide condemns one to hell, but also that god made us the way we are. Pretty !@#$ed up.
  11. This is a dead-end conversation. You're right about my original phrasing. I'll stand by the intent. Please provide evidence to the contrary.
  12. Whatever. It's wordplay and doesn't really change the fact that there is no good evidence of a larger conspiracy. I should be more selective with my phrasing when arguing minutia with such a towering intellect.
  13. No, anecdotal implies a "story that happened to me" or a "story I heard about". The reason anecdotal evidence is not very good is because human memory is both fallible and selective. Also an anecdote is a single data point and therefore misses the big picture. Evidence of a greater conspiracy is missing here. Please feel free to prove me wrong. Good evidence is not subjective, nor is my assertion that good evidence of a greater conspiracy is lacking here. In general, when you start talking about "larger conspiracies", you may want to take off the tinfoil hat an rethink your position. It's not just my opinion, there are reasons for this. You can look to many of the 911 Truth movement conspiracy arguments for reference. Basically, the more people who need to be aware of a conspiracy to make it work, the less plausible the conspiracy becomes.
  14. Nothing I wrote is subjective, but your response illustrates why it was not worth explaining (to you) in the first place.
  15. Bills fans rock. Or we're dumb.
  16. She has a body count, you know.
  17. How cute, another stalker. Do I have a bullseye on my back? The emails being circulated represent a very small sample of cherry-picked emails from the "hacked" set. They were possibly edited. None of the "hacked" data even remotely points to a larger conspiracy. None of the "hacked" data gives evidence that data was falsified. Basically, none of the "hacked" data shows scientists behaving outside of the bounds of how scientists normally behave.
  18. Flawless logic. Belief confirmed. Mission Accomplished.
  19. I was, believe me.
  20. I don't get it. You're saying I have a pointy head? Is that funny?
  21. Maybe if I worked for Gallup.
  22. I wonder how the landscape is for you. Are you pulling in $200K/year? I haven't seen any numbers yet that tell me that profitable businesses are not hiring because of Obama's policies.
  23. Remember that the next time you hear/say "the Earth has actually COOLED since 1998."
  24. Don't you have 300 links to post somewhere?
