  1. Appears to be the case. Apparently, we move forward by moving back? It seems we are relying to heavily on JP's legs and pocket presence, his legs we can count on, his presence is something learned and it wont help to try to learn under constant pressure. I dont understand the tactics at all. Lets say we get Baas, OK now we have an upgrade at LG, we still dont have an upgrade at LT unless someone believes Teague or M Williams plays LT better than Jennings, I dont see THAT as being true. Id would have preferred to stay put at LT and draft a LG or even downgrade at LG instead of the reverse. Thats SCARRY.
  2. Done masterfully.......OK........Now what do we talk about? I got it another OT!
  3. Dont say that you will incur the wrath of all the fans who dont want to hear about the sky falling.
  4. Guys, the damn fins were 17 mil over and now have landed McDougal and T Jones. Yet we were 9 mill under and have signed squat, (well we signed our clipboard holder). This isnt a team that is rebuilding in so many areas that it doesnt matter. This is a team that was one game away from the playoffs. I just have no frikkin clue who we are going to have protecting JP's blindside next year. Pace is set to be dealt, theres no one left in FA worth that much. WTF! The sky isnt falling, I still trust TD and McN but this doesnt look very good on the cover. Maybe they feel they already have there starting LT (Teague or Williams). I would consider both to be questionable as solid LT's at this point. TD is talking up the guys in the draft, he tends to be a straight shooter and maybe McN sees a future stud T, G, or C that will be at their pick, it could be. But, do they really expect that draftee to come in here and not get big penalties or blow calls in the first year? How many 1st downs can we give up because of sacks and/or penalties? I just dont see it. We cleared all that cap space and have done squat with it. Its not over by a long shot and TD slammed guys like me and others by saying that FA isnt over until training camp. Its well put, but is he banking on high priced studs to get released after June 1? Most of those guys are 30 somethings who are past there prime. I guess I wouldnt mind a Larry Allen type while some draftee is being groomed. You just have to admit that on the cover this looks like an ultra conservative offseason which may turn out to put us back as far as overall talent, not forward.
  5. No, lets can the thought of O Pace, theres a guy out there who blows him away. LJ Shelton is supposedly on the trading block, lets trade Travis, our 1st next year, and our 2nd and 3rd this year to get him!
  6. They can and should. The only thing that would prevent it from happeneing is Clements himself wanting to wait and test the market for bigger money. One thing that works in our favor is that some of the anually tagged CB's have signed and now the market is set. It gives TD and even Clements numbers to work from. I see this getting done a.l.a. SChobel maybe mid-season once the team is set.
  7. I love the Jones, Lefors, and Ferri picks. However, David Baas may drop, Elton Brown, and CJ Brooks all are better than the 2nd rounder you listed. I personally wouldnt mind moving up to to early 2nd to get Baas who can play both G or C. In the 3rd you have us grabbing a LT, fine I like that, but how about Mike Munoz? I have my own favorite at this spot, Jerome Mathis a young studly looking WR.
  8. UGGG, I just posted the same Prioleau released thread, I went bck 3 pages and didnt see it. I posted it and then the next minute this showed up on the top page. Ya now, I would have searched on his name if I could spell it right.
  9. Bills | Prioleau Released - from www.KFFL.com Mon, 14 Mar 2005 18:54:53 -0800 The Buffalo Bills have released SS Pierson Prioleau, reports BuffaloBills.com
  10. I have been clamoring for this trade for weeks. I dont know who or what it would take but it would be a stellar move. I dont think it will happen but heres to hoping!
  11. Over at BB.com he was perfectly clear about the teams ability to sign whomever they choose. That is 180 opposite from some of the comments made here by posters. His closing remarks make the point perfectly clear. ESPN, so called capologists (many fans), and many posters here (including myself) do not know SQUAT! Here is his comment: Patrick Freeman (Buffalo, NY): What about the Bills salary cap. Is this preventing you from signing other free agents, and will you have to release any more players, or renegotiate any more contracts to free up additional space. ESPN reporter the Bills are just $652,000 under the cap. TD: There has been much information and misinformation about the salary cap. The salary cap is somewhat like the stock market in that an individual team's salary cap can change almost daily depending on the moves that you make. Our current cap situation would not prevent us from signing any player that we are interested in. We have the flexibility and the ability to create room when it is necessary. The most important thing that you try to do with the cap is to be flexible and manage the cap on a daily basis. May I also remind you that ESPN said last week that we were on the verge of signing Floyd Womack. The best advice we can give you is don't always believe what you read. Dont believe what you read or hear, we can get the players we need but only if TD wants them and they are at the right price.
  12. Well lets see, we have Schobel, Denney, and Kelsay plus Ritzman. So Ritzman or Brown, not a tough one at all to me!
  13. Not alot of votes, but its interesting to see how split we all are. Or how many of us want different things.
  14. Still want Shelton? That 3rd could be Jerome Mathis or maybe Mike Nugent (he will drop with his poor long kick showing at the combine).
  15. Yeah, G is the spot to start a rook, C would also be scary but not as scaRRy as LT!
