Where have you been anyway, flamer? I fully expected you to get you jollies off of this earlier! It's not as fun having clueless liberals spew nonsense. -
'Explosion' of Swine Flu Cases Predicted

I hear you....good for anyone who has made money on the move. I'd invest in hookers and booze before I would put anything into this market. In the meantime.....I suggest you read the 86 page report. Tom just may get his football cancelled yet. Some snippits for those too lazy to do any real research.... At least 30,000 will die from this flu in addition to the annual 30,000 from regular flu Expected to blossom September 1st...and peak the 2nd week of October, at which point 1-2 MILLION Americans will get the flu each day Most of the 90,000 projected dead will be ages 0-24 If you are 0-24 you have 20x the chance of getting the flu than someone 65+ Vaccines will not be ready in time for anticipated peak It will be up to regional executives to decide on closing of work, school, sporting events etc. under current projected numbers If there is a bigger outbreak such as 1918, authorities will need to close borders, deny personal rights, and confiscate valuable commodities as command is shifted to Department of Defense, Homeland Security, et. al (page 44 of report) If outbreak is delayed.....massive vaccination program is in order There are reccomended subsidies to workers and schools to make up for lost salary and state funding to encourage people to stay home if sick White House Swine Flu Plan Enjoy -

'Explosion' of Swine Flu Cases Predicted
Dwight Drane replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Let's see..... From the Whitehouse itself now.....not some bunker-digging fruitcake like myself...... 30-50% will get it. That's on top of normal illness. Do you know what that will do to our splended economic "recovery"? If 50% of the working population misses an extra week of work/productivity because of this, and most of that happens over a 3-6 month period....without taking any quarrantine into account, we will lose 2-4% productivity on an annual basis over that time. Once again, that is without any proactive measures to keep the virus "under control". If 100% of the hospital beds are filled with flu patients.....what else does that mean? Prepare to meet your friendly military men and women at the front door of the hospital! Having a heart attack or stroke? Good luck getting through the cirucs in time to get proper care. Oh....and since 50% of the population could be sick, that includes health care workers. I'm sure all those nurses aides making $8 an hour will just be RUSHING back to work to deal with this mess. I'm also sure the doctors and nurses won't be overworked. Schools? Police? Garbage? Snowplows? Your Work? Supermarkets? Gasoline? Get the drift? So don't be shocked when we all take a "little timeout" to "let the virus take it's course".....in the meantime we'll just shut down 400 banks while the gettin is good. I mean...we're all on holiday anyway, right? But then again....I'm just an idiot on a message board. It's not like your God in the Whitehouse is telling you what they are expecting now. -

All I know is that Howard Johnson would a hit a pinch hit HR in RBI Baseball 1 out of 3 times I brought him off the bench. -

A-hole.............that was reference to Trashcan Man. Fishfinder knows what I mean. -
Schobel is going to take one look at the contract, one look at the haircut.....then choke this guy dead before he has a chance to hit the field! Maybe we can get Bel Biv Devoe to sing the anthem at the opener.

Aaron Maybin's first step is unreal!!
Dwight Drane replied to DELLAPELLE JOHN's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His lateral movement is eh. I think the pick was a mistake, but there is no denying his explosiveness. Even if he turns into a 3rd down specialist, he can't hurt at this point. -

Doctor (24 yr old) that played with JP at Tulane...
Dwight Drane replied to TDRupp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I talked to me friend in Carolina today who is an ER resident and he told me that some dude came into the ER with a bottle of tabasco stuck up his bum. The dude was really embarassed because his wife showed up at the hospital, so my friend put a few stitches in his leg and the guy told his wife he sliced it on a filing cabinet. -
Question for business owners and legal types
Dwight Drane replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Obama's gonna hunt you down...either way! I'm S-Corp myself, but LLC when involved with others. You save employment tax when S-Corp. I'm pretty sure an LLC you have to pay on your entire intake, but in an S-Corp you pay yourself a "reasonable" salary and the rest passes through. I am told that 40% is usually a safe salary to take. LLC is more flexable though when dealing with others. -

Canadian health leader wants Private options
Dwight Drane replied to Dwight Drane's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I pray for DC Tom. He tries his best. All this talk of Canada and prayer has me yearning for a Classic Caesar Clamato. I wish they bottled the good stuff down here. I think I may get away for the weekend and enjoy some. -
Cue the "obviously the owners are racist" comments in 3....2......1 Speaking of that.....I did have a dog that hated black people. She was a stray in a rough part of Miami when she was a puppy. A coworker picked her up and I took her in. Awesome dog.....part Ridgeback, probably a little pit.....smart as can be. But she would go apesht whenever a black person came by. She never did anything, but she screamed bloody murder.

Prediction: Nelson will have more TD's this year than Hardy will in his entire career. He isn't just a tall dude. He is built like an athlete and runs crisper routes. They are going to try and use him in almost every position along the line of scrimmage. He may take a little time to catch on to the whole program....but I would hammer every redzone package play into him and settle for that this year. Night and day as an athlete vs. Hardy
-
TE is still weak. They remind me of the Sabres defense. No complete first line player. Shouman....smart, blocks well, runs routes well.....can't get separation, not the most athletic Fine....ok at finding seams, has some upside....little small to be all-around Stupar....looks like a combo of Shouman/Fine. I would like to see him get some 1st team reps to see if his play is a fluke Nelson...Very athletic. Will probably never be an all-around TE, but can be the Keith McKellar/ Red Zone guy. Edwards seems to love Shouman. All of these guys look ok, but I can't get giddy over it.

Florio Holds The Same Opinion As I Do..............
Dwight Drane replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah....not to even make fun......it was really crazy to hear. He seems like a bright-eyed, good hearted kid so I hope he keeps doing well. I don't know if he makes it though since he was involved in a TD both weeks now. Good story though. -

He had the best post-game interview I have ever heard. Poor guy has a stuttering problem. I was working on something and heard him in the background......I kid you not I picked up the remote to fix the Tivo because I thought it was skipping. He seems like a nice kid. I think he just crapped his pants at he podium. -
Mighty Taco and Ted's -- Esquire ranks the best!
Dwight Drane replied to Fezmid's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I don't understand Mighty Taco love. With the amount of good food there is in Buffalo, how can anyone praise MT? It's bland grade C beef thrown together with an elementary school cup of salad and tossed in a tortilla. If it floats your boat...fine, but how in the hell did it turn into WNY folklore? The best part of Mghty Taco are their commercials. -
He beat his coverage in the endzone and was open last week...but Fitzpatrick had happy feet and rolled out. I like him. It's obvious he needs to block better....if he locks onto his man, McIntyre breaks off a 30 yard run on that last drive. I think he's a really nice redzone target.
