  1. Leaving a football game early that is not a stone cold lock is crazy to me. You put so much effort into preparing for a tailgate by going shopping, calling friends, going to bed early so you can make it to the game....then on gameday you wake up 2 hours early because everyone needs to use the bathroom and you need to stock the cooler with ice and goodies, get into the car and make your pilgramage to The Ralph. You have to possibly battle cold rain and high winds the entire afternoon, walk 15 minutes from the lot to the gate...get patted down by cops, make it to your seat after buying double priced concessions. This is what you do JUST to get to the point of what you are doing it for. After all of that, you are going to leave with 8 minutes left in a 2 score game because you want to save 30 minutes on the road? I know people have families and other commitments, but for 2 weeks in a row now the game came down to the final drive with a realistic chance for a reverse outcome, and there were 50K left in the stands during those drives. To those 20,000 that left...... do any of you have kids or do you abandon the process 25% before the act is completed because you don't want the inconvenience of cleaning up the mess?
  2. I think Dick J finally lets JP scramble, because a rolling pocket and big plays may be the only way to beat these guys. Our D may be able to hold them to 20, but we need some innovation on offense to win. Simply managing a game will not get it done next week. If we get lucky, Griesie will bring his pooch into the locker room this week for Grossman to trip on.
  3. Enough to throw on a Blue Dress and smuggle a Cohiba for him? Can you imagine the stories Ralph peppered the poor guy with?
  4. I have to help Dave out....this chick has Cans of Gold, and she's a pretty tough cookie....not one of those total bimbo weather girls They moved her off of mornings last year for a while and I suddenly couldn't get up for work...so to speak. What about the Buffalo gals? Why is Jodi Johnston still on Channel 2? I would think she'd be national with that face of hers...she must really like the area.
  5. Good for you! Crayonz is on board for a little fun as always...and so am I. I have a guess as to who it may be, but I want to see the fur fly. Article of clothing is involved. I really loved Capri Sun. I hated the double-puncture though.....that was almost as bad as the 4-corner open on the mini carton of milk when you had no straw. You almost get one side open, only to be taunted by that fibrous, saggy cardboard layer that shields your prize.
  6. Not to be a downer here.....but isn't there a nutty-kookoo just a few miles to the north of where they want to give you this promotion? Two years takes us to the end of the Bush Administration. As Desi would say "Wucy....I gotta funny feelin 'bout dis one!" Good luck either way.
  7. So what you are basically saying is that you want to send JP to the Shower?
  8. Notice closely the Rasta panties and braided hair. That's just what I want in a girl...someone who has nailed half of Jamaica and hasn't washed in 3 weeks.
  9. You had me with you until you said Pennington would have us 3-0. Pennington's head on JP's body, yes we would be 3-0....but Pennington's head on Pennington's body.....we are still 1-2 or 2-1 at best. JP doesn't have "IT" like Kelly or Flutie, but if he keeps learning and maturing, he will be a capable starter in the middle of the pack. He wants to learn, and that will help. Everything else is pretty much bang on.
  10. I just did...and in a classless, BS move, offered him to the guy who has Alexander. Morris is a VERY GOOD back. Call me a moron, but he will not be much of a dropoff. He's a starter somewhere after this stint.
  11. Al Ross in West Seneca did one for me Waaaaay back, but they are still going strong.
  12. http://espn.go.com/magazine/flemfile_20021126.html Check out the John Lynch do-diddie on the right margin where he mentions Steve Tasker. This should put it in perspective for you.
  13. You are on. Believe it or not, I've seen crazier situations than Coles with pro-athletes that get teased about. It's not about putting the guy down...it's about lightening up a horrible situation and letting them know they are still one of the guys. It probably isn't a common thing now, but when it first happened I'm sure something was said.
  14. I take back the McMichael given the fact of the circumstances here which I did not know at the time. My point on this one is that not only is it crass, it is bad timing. Whoever did it is showing double stupidity. Just a pathetic loser. By the way....I've got $50 that says Coles gets teased about it by Jets players. It's the culture.
  15. I am not upset with the comment itself, I'm upset at the timing. You just lost the game and then you pull out a nuke like that? What good does it do us? If you are going to pull a stunt like that, at least do it on a 3rd and 7.
  16. What was the drink of choice tonight? It's nice to believe in the team again.
  17. Speaking of tease...I've lived in Miami too long, because your avatar looks like a plate of Stone Crabs. God bless the 'Downer
  18. I'm with you man....he's going pass happy so far and Edge is gone, but you still have to respect the talent at RB. It's good ol' K-Gun....when everyone cheats pass...shotgun draw. He may be a Goober, but he is a class act and as smart as you can find. I agree that you are on to something....that's why I am going to not put diapers on the baby this week and throw the $37.50 on the Colts -7 against the Jags. Ind 33 JAX16
  19. I hope they change their logo to a pink flamingo without legs, with lime green sleeves. Then we have a competition.
  20. Gotcha.....It helps to have big play potential. If those 2 teams were to play again next week in NY, I would move the line to NE by 8 instead of the 6 they were. I hate to say it, but the Patriots once again are the class of the division. If the Bills can keep some momentum going, maybe we can hang with them for a while...but they are just too smart all-around. They will keep winning some ugly games, but I really respect that team and hope by next year we can take over.
  21. A bunch of Jets fan flamers should be going from campus....hitch a ride with them.
  22. NE missed a 30yd FG in the 4th, along with Cotchery making a crazy play and Coles a big play. I don't know if you watched the entire game like I did, but NE looked as impressive as the Bills did. Simple Logic: If A=B, and A>C ......then B>C. Vegas seems to agree as we are 6 point favorites.
  23. I'm just happy that I can respect the coach, and the team. We still may be a 6-10 team, but we are going to claw and fight. One thing that bodes well for us is that NE really handled the Jets today and could have won by much more if it wasn't for 2 amazing TDs by the Jets.
  24. To me, it is about the music itself. I like a band because they can jam, not because they can expose their inner soul through prose. Probably the best "pop" music I have ever heard has to be Emerson Lake & Palmer. Those guys were innovative with their music, and weren't short on the social commentary in their lyrics either.
  25. Oooh how I wish I had both right now! We make them with raisins and Walnuts, and I think the kicker is ground cloves or nutmeg. There is also a simple cookie with sesame seeds called Gigaleni? that we make. Those are the big 3. Another good Italian dessert is Sfinge. It is basically the dough to a creampuff, but is deep fried, then you put powder sugar on it. We make those for St Joseph's day in March. These too are addictive.
