  1. i agree. I use the same setup and the frying smells less than doing a burger in the cast iron. Also helps, especially when cooking fish in the house, to put some white vinegar with lemon on a low simmer while cooking/frying...really truly helps
  2. Nanker, if you want to learn a bunch about New Orleans as you watch this show, this guy did a recap of every show explaining the references, bars, clubs, history etc that go into the show. Great to read as it goes episode by episode. Really makes the show such a great history lesson on the city...as well as ensure you will have a great time next time you go to New Orleans all the more. http://www.nola.com/treme-hbo/index.ssf/2010/04/treme_explained_right_place_wr.html
  3. this freaking game 7 is awesome
  4. Veep was awesome last night!! Silicon Valley was good as well...damn that show is just so freaking accurate its amazing.
  5. they played a little better today...but still never really threatened to score. Damn, those two wins could doom the Flyers for a while. I do know a few Flayer fans, they insist they have a bunch of good young talent in Hershey coming up and this playoff berth was just a bonus...we shall see
  6. Send a PM to stevestojan..he has been in the industry for a long time
  7. can you just imagine a starting 5 of Malone, Dantley, McAdoo...Tiny and Randy in the backcourt.....mutiple titles in my mind
  8. congrats... you did cross the border to have this one right???
  9. Losin for Drouin looks okay...should have got that guy at the deadline. Oh well, maybe it makes it easier for Stammer to come to Buffalo
  10. cmon...real question?
  11. The season ticket holder better be a long, long, long, term seat holder and have plenty of seats to get tickets to the opener. Not like in the old days(3 years ago). Bills will hold a good bit for groups who have traditionally bought large blocks in the past...groups like TBD. Will also hold a few thousand for individual sale, add in away team holds etc, bet less than 2000 tickets were sold via season tickets holders to the Indy game last year. Just something to consider in your thought process. If it were me, i would not buy seasons this year..i would purchase seats as you go. 3 December Sunday games in a row going to be a tough draw if they are not in the playoff race.Might even get the two besides the Steelers for free.
  12. I can't remember a single QB ever holding out or demanding a new contract before his old was done..Wilson made some noise about baseball , but in the end all noise. I am sure there are some examples...anybody remember one? Even one that did not technically hold out but just had the franchise tag and stayed away?
  13. and I want to be on other side of the lot
  14. we went last month, and it had been a while since I had been...was shocked at how expensive everything is! Make sure you have Lyft on your phone..i can send you an invite code for free rides...cabbies getting rocked out there and are not exactly taking nicely to it. I took two cab rides, argument both times as they were trying to go long routes. Lyft way cheaper! Get a twelve pack of decent cans to keep in your rooom..drink them at the pool and walking around beers. Stay away from the big name restaurants..way overpriced for the quality. Everything is prices Find a good happy hour for food. https://blog.vegas.com/las-vegas-nightlife/happiness-is-a-las-vegas-happy-hour-59725/ you know the place is expensive when $5 drafts of Corona and Heineken are cited as bargains!
  15. i did have a nice Oyster Gose the other day at Isley here in Richmond. I am a gose/sour fan...enjoyed it
  16. That makes sense..very close to Inner Harbour, but a world of difference in restaurant quality! Only place inner harbour I would tiny bit recommend is the Rusty Scupper. Fun to take the water taxi there and sit on the deck and get a bit sloshed...share some crabcakes as bar food! Water taxi preety cool way to get to get to Fort McHenry, Fells Point, Harbour East if you doing some pub crawling/sightseeing.
  17. i would have zero, and i mean zero worry about going to a game and spending a weekend in Baltimore. And, very few , if any , good restaurants at the inner harbour. As PTR says above, go to the neighborhoods he mentions above. If you looking for fine dining Saturday night, two fabulous places are Woodbury Kitchen and Charleston. Get reservations as soon as you can though, both fill up carzy early
  18. count me in for 3 cars!
  19. Stadium is awesome. Just don't sit too low in the lower bowl you will be fine anywhere else. Mentioned it in another thread..i don't remember if one side or section gets shade for a 1pm game in early September. You can easily get a scorcher that early in the year, some shade can make a world of differnce Fans are awesome..I have been to every game the Bill have played there, never had an issue. Parking a bit of a pain, if you want to tailgate i would investigate that and see if you can prepay. I have either taken train or went with season ticket holders that had reserved spots. Cross Street Market for 36oz Natty Bo's, oysters and steamed shrimp(shell on and covered in old bay) not a bad way to start to start a Sunday Morning. what did you pay for flights? Last game there was a pretty good tailgate at a bar, but went to mothers with some friends at the Cross street and never made it there. If you friend live B'More, make sure you make it Cross Street and Federal Hill on Saturday afternoon!
  20. she might have money..or does stuff ya know..
  21. does not need to file any papers...he is a UFA
  22. Way harder to get Ravens tickets than Bills tickets. But great stadium, great fans, upper deck fine for a game..although may want to scout if any side has shade...can be a hot time of the year for a 1PM game i would say sometime around Mid June
  23. I actually do. Based on what all the lawyer types have said on this matter, it was a shock the first guy overturned the ruling based on the CBA. And from these guys have said, the guys in this appeal process were pretty hard on Kessler. NFL needs to win this for precedence sake, does not matter if Brady guilty or innocence. And Holy smokes that start to the Jets schedule is brutal...especially if they have a rookie at QB
