  1. For all us lLeaf haters...this is sweet http://sports.yahoo.com/news/moustachioed-man-tearing-down-a-leafs-banner-in-detroit-is-an-everyday-hockey-hero-145310559.html?soc_src=social-sh&soc_trk=tw
  2. I agree on the point being awarded to the winner...but I don't remember the extra point before the lockout. Just found an article that it started it did start in the 99-2000 season...man it sucks getting old. https://slapshot.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/02/16/how-the-guaranteed-point-is-ruining-the-nhl/ I would have bet you a million dollars it started after the lockout
  3. if I read correctly...kid is a daughter..
  4. it truly was...i watch zero TV with my kids outside of sports...it was good family time! The other thing I remember vividly is Mom ordering the pizza during MTM so it would be there at the start of the Carrol Burnett show. At least in my family, pizza was strictly a snack and a treat to eat while watching TV after 8 PM..never for dinner!
  5. Man, she was no doubt part of my youth. Big Saturday at the Lenz household was MTM, All in the Family, Bob Newhart, then Carol Burnett.
  6. Uncle Brent is retiring One last "you are looking live" on the 31st basketball game. Dude was part of the greatest football show ever http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/01/25/brent-musburger-calling-final-game-on-january-31/
  7. I use the fusion power thing too and love it! Smotthest shave i have ever had, and no cuts in like 6 years I get the blades at Costco...just about $3 per blade. Not sure what these shave clubs cost, but have a hard time it can really be all that much cheaper than that...and a blade last me about 3 weeks. I am medium beard, so maybe if heavy beard it would be different
  8. very rarely do the points matter...take the team you think will win! That is proven in the regular season, but even more so in the Superbowl. Since the Bills last made the playoffs, only 4 games have the betting winner been affected by the points( i think that is correct based on quick perusal) 2000, , 2004,2005,2009 So naturally based on that stat, one would say if you like the Falcons, just bet the moneyline..if they lose will most likely be by more than the 3 points. However, two of those games above the Pats, and i think all 6 of the Pats games in this run have been within 4 points either way...sooo
  9. Color me impressed with the 3 3rd period comebacks, last night especially. Still think they have no shot at the playoffs based off history...but we shall see.
  10. I will preface this by saying I am in the tank for just about any British period piece. That said, I do like Victoria on PBS..outside of quite possibly the worst CGI I have ever seen. I think it's that the very young queen fell in love with a man my age...one can dream no?
  11. Holy Moly...what a great story! I have used Bovada for a long time for sports...never had an issue getting paid, but never had anywhere close t0 $79K...thats freaking fantastic! I am small potato I guess, with all prop bets and moneyline bet I might, and stress might, get to $250 in on this game.
  12. Holy criminy..i can't believe UVA has three players in the whole of the NFL...let alone in the Super Bowl
  13. Oh lordy, way too many changes. What's changed: Was single, smoked a pack and a half of Reds every day, went to the track 3 times a week and the AC once a month. Most people told me I was crazy for living in Mount Pleasant neighborhood in DC., or the District at all for that matter What's the same: I still good looking, I still play the ponies , just on the PC now, can still go to casino bout once a month, but could be in just about every state in the Union. Also, people love to stay at our place in DC now, and don't think the neighborhood is scary anymore. On a somber note..went to this Super Bowl game with my brother, Can remember the day and its events like yesterday., all the way down to selling our ticket stubs to a Cowboy fan on the way out of the dome. Sadly he has passed, and I no longer get to talk and scream with every game. But me and his sons still do up the tailgates, always raise a beer in his memory before we head into the game, and yell and scream with each other via text instead of voice now!
  14. I think the Sabres might even throw in a 2nd rounder if they would take Bogo.
  15. I like the Falcons to win the game, and would typically bet the moneyline with an underdog i like. But the +135 just seems to low to me now, and i guess the books typically get a lot of underdog moneyline action on the Superbowl....so i am going to wait a few and see if that number moves up more to the $150 range
  16. If Whaley wanted job security he would push for releasing Taylor and going all in on a total rebuild. Keeping Taylor puts heat on him way more than moving on.
  17. Could have had him even cheaper 3 years earlier...again Hogan was a street free agent...why did the Pats not get him then? Plain and simple, Hogan is not worth the money in the Bills system of last year, he was in the Pats...does not mean the Bills screwed up. Even in that system, he had less than 50 catches this year...wow, what a stud! One game does not make a career,,,ask Timmy Smith and David Tyree
  18. agree...and Kane is up at the same time...that's why I am saying fitting him in as well will be tough..unless we still have a JV D
  19. Kessell was a July 1 deal, not trade deadline. And right in your post is why Kane needs to be the guy included in a trade. No one else on the team will get you quality back. If you want to stay the course with this current makeup on D, god bless ya. I will take my chances one of the many forward prospects in Rochester can replace Kane more than i am that any Dman in the system can be a top 4 . Let's also not forget Sam and Jack are up after next year. between ROR, Jack, Sam...really not room for another $6-$7M contract there.
  20. I was 14, parents stuck at work for the weekend, drank my first beer that storm! I was at Catholic school, don't remember making up the days My poor sister was a senior in public high school and class was so far delayed she graduated on July 2nd!
  21. so ...when Hogan was walking around as a street free agent and the bills signed him , and not the Pats.....does that mean Whaley saw his potential more than the Pats????
  22. this is from Blandino on Twitter..sorry don't know how to imbed. BTW, picture does not support this. Here is the link https://twitter.com/DeanBlandino/status/823273543374958592 Gained possession with left leg touching the goal line so it is a touchback. Momentum and ball at 1-yd line if body part not in EZ.
  23. I thought the ball should have been placed at the 1. Was wondering if a challenge might be warranted, but i am not sure if you can challange that play.
  24. John, in a perfect world you keep Kane...but the Sabres and that D lineup far from perfect. And ya ain't trading Larsson or Nicky D for a top 4 DMan/prospect. Have to give to get, and he is the only guy that the Sabres can dangle that I can see.
