Hmm,. Not sure WTF almost queen is, but I am guessing being married to someone who wears a dress to every home game has something to do with it. 😂 Being a professional medical doctor, and out of an abundance of caution, I am staying away from the party until my RSV, Flu, Covid , Black plague, Leprosy ( I mean any port in a storm) tests come back negative. I mean you did sneeze right before the party , right? -
Maybe I missing something here, but I think this game going to either Saturday or Sunday night was almost a certainty since about early November. Was always listed since day one as TBD in terms of date and time. Bills are ratings gold.

As mentioned, Club seats , but has to be row 7 and back to really feel any of the effects of the heaters. But as a bonus, the club itself is warm so can always go in there and warm up, which is not an option anywhere else in stadium. Look on a map and try to find a lot on Southwestern near California. @mrags can tell you more about this. 6 is cutting it really damn close. You prolly want to leave before end of game in a close game.

I don’t know. Washington and NY pretty damn big media markets and also markets where Saturday there will be tons of Christmas parties etc, which could impact ratings. So maybe, just maybe, they say the Bills on Saturday night pulls in viewers who otherwise will not have the TV on, and we get the DC and NYC market total on Sunday night plus you have the McDaniels -BB angle, but that would also be the 3rd straight Primetime game for the Pats*. I am hoping and praying for Saturday, expecting Sunday

Major difference between yesterday and previous four games
plenzmd1 replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
N it sure on that, but I do think practice is kinda important. He had zero week of Week of Vikings, I don’t think the whole team had a full practice week of Browns, and at best 1 day as a team before Detroit. So that’s 1 full practice with QB1 before this week. That has to have an impact. -

Major difference was a week of practice with a healthy QB1. Impactful difference was 27 had 61 % of snaps, and 49 and 50 were back on field.- 83 replies

Ideally Saturday at 4:30. Most tailgating in the light hours and little warmer. Can still get home, shower, change, and go out after game to celebrate Next ideal Saturday night--- long day, less light for tailgates, colder..not home till like 1AM and prolly straight to bed Least ideal-Sunday night. Extra night in the airbnb, all the miserableness of the Saturday late game, just have to stop on way home prolly 5 times for stupid Zoom calls etc on Monday. Give me Saturday at 4:30!!!!!!!

Quick question and not being sarcastic. Have you watched Detroit play much this year? Have you looked at their schedule? that Detroit team is tough, plays balls out 100% if the time, and had been steadily improving , especially on D , the last 5 weeks or so. this was a PHENOMENAL win today, I am shocked to see the negativity on this board.

well, throwing it into the endzone there was "taking a shot". I agree, they need to be better on 3rd and 4th and short/goal, as @DrDawkinstein pointed out they seem to continually look for 10 and 20 yard gains when they need 2 yards...that is what is frustrating. Maybe it's the absence of a true slot that really understands zone and how to sit in open space..and right now they don't trust Shakir cause he a rookie(or just not good enough at it) and seems like McKenzie is just flat out better against man and does not understand zone concepts as well. One thing they started to use more to slow the rush down this game was the delayed handoff, with great success. With our tendencies, one would think a delayed handoff on 3rd and even longer would work like a champ, unless D is playing a spy on 17 which could complicate things. Think we both agree short yardage has to be better.

there was no cap, or even one envisioned, when Rozelle was commish. Now, if you went to a total free market system, with non non shared revenues etc, i agree, parity out the window. But keeping shared revenue, elimanting the draft, and going to a HARD cash to cap system, parity is prolly more realistic in that scenario that uts current state. Sure we always here about the "1 team always worst to first" , but look at the playoffs in the AFC this year. Ya see much difference than last outside subbing Miami for Pittsburgh? Not sure hwy you feel a union would go way by eliminating the draft and going to a hard cap system..please explain
-
total free market system I would love Eliminate the draft, cash to cap "cap" ..give out whatever in the hell contract ya want. You want to sign Zac Wilson as the number 2 QB prospect even though you just won the Super Bowl? Give him whatever you want to give him... Cap is a hard cap. Only thing that counts towards cap is actual money paid out to players that year. No back loading of contracts. Elite management and coaching will shine, rewarding of failure no longer a thing

so, lets go back to the last two Patriot games last year. My memory may be wrong, and its kinda funny now considering his performance so far...but the opening drive in each of those games has the Bills going for it on 4th and goal. They were successful on each with a pass to McKenzie, and some would say set the tone for each game and the Bills went on to victories. Do you remember thinking then "McD being hyper aggressive, wish he would kick the FG"? I sure don't. The funny thing withthis new thinking is everyone thinks " the analytics say do this" means the analytics say its guarnteed to work, but really it's only in your best interest to do "this". No play is 100%. But if a particular "this" increase your chances on winning the game, even it fails, it was the right decision. Best way to describe it is think of it like blackjack, if your a blackjack player. You have a big bet, have 16, dealer shows a 9. You increase your win probability by hitting every single stinking time. Inevitably, your wife will say great call when you get a 4, and call you a lunkhead when you take a face and dealer turn over a 6, and would have busted had ya just stayed put. But over time, that strategy will end up losing you money.

Couple of points to be made here. The NFL DOES have guaranteed contracts NFL is the only league, i think, that regularly hands out signing bonuses. So one needs to take the amount of the bonus, the amount of fully guaranteed money in the contract, add that together and come up with the number of years that dude is for sure getting paid. For instance, Player x sign a deal for 4 years with $10M at signing, $10M per year. 1st year fully guaranteed , 2nd year guaranteed for injury at $10M, $6M fully guaranteed, last two years non guaranteed salary of $10M per. All told what would be described as a $50M contract by the press and agent, but is more accurately a 2 year $30M contract with two club options at the end. The club options are what the club gets for guaranteeing this dude $26M for two years. That is the contract they have made with the player. Now, the mistake the NFL makes is they call them non guaranteed contracts, instead of just calling guaranteed contracts with club options on the end. In this case a two year guaranteed contract, with a two year club option.

hmm, this year the Vikings game is the only game i can think of...if you want to consider this, then i guess its two games. Last year, cant remember one..but i sure could be missing something. Ever consider McD wanted this game at 8 so his "1 score" ratio gets better😜? See how stupid that metric is? If Bills stop them late, continues the narrative that he stinks in one score games. I agree with tis to a point, see below I totally agree with taking shots on almost every single 2nd and 2 or less, from anywhere on field outside your own 15. You have to have confidence you can pick up 2 yards on third, so the shot plays are worth it in my mind. I think anywhere inside the opponents 45 taking a shot on 3rd and 2 or less is warranted too, as you know you will go for it on 4th down. I get your point about the Bills short yardage struggles this year, and would have liked to see a play designed where a 3 yard gain was 1st read and not a play designed for the TD, and that frustrates me as well. But the philosophy of taking the shots on 2nd and 3rd i agree with.

The problem is coaches don't listen to the math enough! Historically( since the XP was moved) 2 pt conversion successful a little under 49% of the time, 1 pt conversion a little under 95% of the time. The MATH says go for the 2 pt every single stinking time, plain and simple. But like they did with 4th down probabilities and going for it more , once coaches have some cover by some newer thinking analysts they will eventually adjust and go for mostly 2pt conversion except when a single point will make it a two score game or 3 score game mid to late 4th.

You would assume wrong..your season tickets will be refunded, you need to get new tickets through ticketmaster for this game
