  1. I know right...Charlie just said it was a way to honor the seniors. I'm just glad that I will be able to see a win with them. And, um, I'd be really glad if they are up by, say, 17.5 at halftime.... Nice...INT
  2. On a popsicle stick? Maybe I went over the top, but I disagree. Could they have beat him with night sticks? You talk about being responsible for your actions but seem to think the police officers should be let off. What circumstances? If he was actually a threat. If he wasn't already cuffed. He should be held responsible for his actions. And the acceptable punishment would have been removal from the library (without being tasered or beaten) and arrested.
  3. Tim Tebow has 4 total TDs...he is going to do big things in that offense when Leak leaves.
  4. They always make me a little nervous, but how can you hate something so beautiful? Moment of silence for Schembechler...very nice.
  5. Oh yeah...dumbass. Why argue when there is so much good wine to drink? ~ you should bring that one back.
  6. A little bit of me dies inside when I say this, but for ND's sake, I hope for a Michigan win...and a convincing one at that. But have fun, man! But it should be a killer game...I can't wait.
  7. I didn't say you were an idiot. But I don't think it's too difficult to think of why he did both of those things. 1. He didn't leave because he is a typical cocky (*^*&%^$^#college student who thinks he knows everything about everything and that includes exactly what "rights" he has and what the police (or the man) can and cannot do to him. Somebody tells him to leave and he spouts off with his freedom speech and it goes from there. 2. He mentions the patriot act because he doesn't know what it is about and assumes it has something to do with campus police "infringing on his rights." And the reason none of this matters is because he could have been screaming racist remarks to the cops for all I care...that does not permit excessive force. And tasering a goofy college student who is cuffed IS excessive force, IMO. Even if he is an @sshole.
  8. That was good... Who robs a store in daylight? What time was it?
  9. There is an obvious answer to why he didn't leave. There is an obvious answer to why he mentioned the patriot act. There is another question of why any of that matters.
  10. And he'd lose... JURY #1 sees video footage of a handcuffed kid screaming bloody murder as he is repeatdly tased. JURY #1 sees probably nothing (I doubt there would be a video running) and weighs the testimony of several cops vs. kid with bruises. Plus what is his argument now?
  11. Well I mean, I think that is reading into it too much. You could say in almost any arrest that the cop has no idea what is going on with the guy and why he is resisting. But I'll sum it up...He is an @sshole college student who thought "the man" was trampling on him by following library protocol. I can't possibly believe that the reason the cops tasered him WHILE he was cuffed was because they thought he posed a threat. No way! They were punishing him for not following their orders. Yeah, I have no idea why he didn't get up and leave while he was saying "I said I would leave." That was retarded. But to me, that doesn't matter. If he doesn't stand up, then the cops drag his ass out. I have no doubt it is extremely more difficult to do than it looks. It's probably a huge B word to move someone who doesn't want to be moved. But tough sht. Just because it is difficult, doesn't mean they should do something that is unnecessary. They could have shot him, that would make it easier (I kid, I kid...). And also no doubt that he would have sued with or without the taser. The big difference is now he most likely will win. Which sucks, because he is dickhead, but I put that blame on the cops. And feeling bad for the cops being "put in this situation" doesn't jive with me. They put themselves in this situation. This never had to happen.
  12. You got beef with the PS3? I honestly have no opinion except that I've read it is superior and with the blue-ray DVD, it would fill two needs. Not that I would wait in line for days.... I think the Wii is going to be sick. And I can stay faithful to Nintendo, which for some reason I feel I need to...
  13. I don't have much sympathy for him...in fact that number will reach zero if/when he gets some dough out of this mess. However, my anger in that situation rests with the cops. THEY are the ones that fkced this all up. I agree with you that cops have a right to do whatever is necessary to force compliance. Where we disagree is that I don't think being tasered multiple times was in any way necessary. To me, that is saying that tasering him was the least brutal thing they could do to him to remove him from the building. And I call BS on that. They could have accomplished everything they did without the taser. I mean, like I said, beating him would also have forced compliance, but that is beyond what is needed to remedy the situation. I mean people will disagree, but I think the use of a taser in that situation is completely unwarranted. Being a cuffed college student, he posed about zero threat to half a dozen cops. Acting like an @sshole does not give the cops carte blanche to go over the top, IMO.
  14. First of all, Brady Quinn is nothing like JP Losman. Second, he will be the best rookie QB (at least in the immediate) because of his experience in a pro-style offense with a great offensive coach playing against great college defenses. Third, I probably wouldn't spend a top 5 pick on him. I just don't think he can make all the throws to be a great NFL QB and he has lapses of concentration. His deep ball is mediocre and his short ball often lacks touch. That being said, he can drop an intermediate throw into 6 inch pocket, I've seen it many times. Fourth, the Bills would be a TERRIBLE fit for him, unless they do something about the offensive line. He was untouched last year (except against Ohio St.) and he was surgical with the football. When he is hurried, he is half the QB. I know this goes for almost all QBs, but I just don't see Quinn making plays when Melvin Fowler or Duke Preston play Ole with DTs. Plus, his one fatal flaw in this regard may be holding on to the ball too long. It hasn't been an obvious problem at ND because it is rare that he has serious pressure. But he could be Losman/RJ-esque if he constantly has pressure. Fifth, despite everything I just said, drafting him (or any QB) in the top 5-10 might actually do this team some good. I think if Marv and Co. invested in a QB so high, that they would be forced to get him protection. If Levy thought he was getting another Kelly, you best believe he would push hard for another Wolford, Davis, Hull, Richter, Ballard line. So maybe this could be a blessing in disguise. And if we did draft a QB, I'd want it to be Quinn.
  15. I still think it's a little strange for grown adults (with families) to spend multiple hours per day consistently playing a video game. But that is probably my bias from associating Nintendo with 1st grade, which is obviously not the case anymore. I haven't played video games since my GameCube broke a year ago. But the PS3 and especially the Wii might bring me back.
  16. I'd say that being an @sshole and saying dumbass things to a bunch of cops WHILE cuffed does not consitute such excessive force. What if instead of tasering him, they pulled out night sticks and started beating him? Is that okay because he mentioned "Patriot Act" in the wrong context? Bottom line is that people are going to complain that he will get $$$ while cops get fired possibly. Well guess what? Blame the cops (or security officers). Just as he had a choice to walk out the first time, THEY had a choice to drag him out while he was cuffed and arrest him. Then he would be the dumbass facing multiple school and legal infractions, and they would be chilling out. Multiple cops, one goofy college student? Yeah tasers were probably the best choice.
  17. Oh sht! I see you got the sport edition. And hooked it up with yellow spinners and some sick fat rear tires.
  18. Gas powered jeep?? Yeah I had one of those, only it looked more like this.
  19. Michigan +7?? Someone tell me this isn't a great play (no, not you Buckeye Mike ) Where's Kazoo Mike? Better yet, where's Daquixers?
  20. Dammit...I was just about to edit my post. I must be getting old and slow...I must need a beer.
  21. Well I don't want to toss around words like "psychic" or "nostradamus" but my mom always told me I was special...
