  1. Hung over? If it's bad, lump me in with the death crowd. I crave a nice spoonful of draino. If it's mild, lump me in the Denny's crowd. Those stuffed omelettes they make do it up right. But nothing beats T Bell when its like 4am and the party is winding down. There is this place in South Bend called "Boracho Burrito" that made buritos that made Might Taco's look small. When I was a freshman, I went there every Thursday after the bar. But then I made a terrible move and decided to go there for lunch when I was sober. That was my last visit. Since then, nothing beats a Grilled Stuffted Burrito.
  2. It's from the Music Man. My highschool did the production one year...I remember watching and thinking it was the worst 3 hours of my life. I can still picture this one goofy kid that was a few years older than me singing the lead in Shipoopi and dancing like an idiot.
  3. McGee almost broke another one today....every game he gets us a return that puts out offense at midfield it seems. If it ain't broke...
  4. Fair enough. But I never said Wisconsin was great, and I'm sure you've noticed, then will most likely end up in the top 6 and not get a BCS bowl. People have taken note of their schedule. The Big East earned a lot of respect this year (at least in my mind). But in our last post you said: Yes, WVU beat Georgia 38-35, but you neglected to mention that the other 3 BE teams that went to bowl games all lost. Plus in 2004-05, Pittsburgh won the conference at 8-3 and had the honor of getting trucked by Utah in a BCS bowl. In fact, since the split in 2004, BE teams have gone 3-6 in bowl games (with one of those wins vs. Toledo). So if you can't see why there is a general feeling of doubt as to the prowess of the conference, then you aren't looking very hard.
  5. Every conference save the SEC sucks? Well, this is true, they are the only conference to have 3 teams in the top 6. Oh wait, that's the Big Ten. How good is the Big East? Do they have 4 teams in the top 25? No, that is the ACC and Big 12. I don't think the Big East is terrible, but they certainly aren't this powerhouse (championed by the Almighty Rutgers) that Ed makes them out to be.
  6. Wow, what a stunner....looks like USC spent all their gas on ND. It's a shame because they way they bent us over, I was actually looking forward to seeing their shot in Glendale. But, now that this is over...if Florida pours it on in the 2nd half and crushes Arkansas, is there a chance that they will jump Michigan as well? If so, we could have a classic Rose Bowl (Michigan v. USC). If that is the case, then I see LSU playing a home game v. ND in the Sugar. Love conference championship week...I think every conference should have to have one.
  7. Apparently the tape starts off with Bledsoe, but Jessica kicks him out because he just lays there and does nothing except occasionally pat-pat-patting her ass.
  8. Jessica Simpson Unbelievably, I remember many on this board saying that she was ugly. But after seeing what I was told is the Britney tape, I'd much rather see more of this body... Jessica Jessica 2
  9. I saw that sht too....Nice how he chose to ignore that with less talent and playing in a harder division, Philadelphia won more games than St. Louis. Not saying that Pujols was a bad candidate...I thought Howard was the better choice, but it could have gone either way. But if the Cards had missed the playoffs, my thoughts wouldn't change.
  10. First of all, I really hope you are talking about standing up when we we're on DEFENSE. Nothing more idiotic than some guy who stands up and starts screaming when our offense is facing a 3rd down. Sure more noise is what our guys need! They don't like hearing the signals... So, I'm going to assume you are talking about defense....and further, everyone seems to concede that standing on a 3rd down DEFENSIVE stand is the way to go. So I'm wondering, when were all these 1st and 2nd downs for JAX that you felt this great urge to stand up?
  11. What? Why you would want a rematch with a team that you beat by 26 on their field? Just say no to rematches...especially ones where the original game sucked.
  12. I wish they had added a "shakes head and laughs" smiley to the list. One good season, a powerhouse does not make.
  13. I'll write them a letter and ask them to include a "Cold War Quotes 102" class for next semester.
  14. FWIW, I've never heard that Reagan quote but once, and I don't remember where. But maybe that's just me...
  15. Yeah that's rough. Of course going to a school with the most storied football team of all-time and sitting though what may go down as the worst 4-year stretch in the history of the school ...I'm tempted to say: Stop yer bitchin!
  16. Yeah, he lit it up...you are right about as close to perfect as you will find. One thing though...I had always thought that the Colts had everything to play for as they had a shot for the #1 seed if they won and JAX had lost. That is what made that victory all the more impressive. Hmmm...
  17. Just a little fuel for the fire... I had forgotten about this from last year... 30 million reasons to leave...story is three weeks old Same story from Trojanwire.com I wouldn't put much stock in it if not for the story from last year (link #1). I remember that now and if it was true, AZ could be the perfect storm to lure him away ($$$, Complete Control, Reunion with Leinart, Warm Climate). But who knows? I'd say it has about as good a shot as Schiano leaving Rutgers. Take that as you will...
  18. I had thought it was Lee Evans #2 that was the perfect one, but maybe it was the first. The other two are awesome, and meant more to the team, but one of those Evans bombs was about the prettiest pass I have seen in awhile. Strangely, I remember thinking about it right after it happened and saying that the last Bills QB to make a pass as dead on accurate as that one was Rob Johnson. (Last game of the year, vs. the Colts when he won the starting job for the Titans game). He hit a WR (I forget who, I have the tape somewhere) for a long pass across the middle that was perfect. Perfect like Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez hitting the ball into Smalls' glove in the Sandlot.
  19. I'm guessing this is a dumbass ESPN "idea" where they try to link things up (Leinart is the Cardinals QB, Carroll was his coach, Cards need a coach = Carroll is leaving! If true, and I frankly doubt it, then Carroll is even more of a douche than I thought. As strange as it sounds (at least to me), he has the chance to go down as maybe the greatest (or one of) college football coach. Obviously that is a marathon, not a sprint, but he has had a helluva first mile. Barring a ridiculous UCLA upset, USC will have gone to the championship game each of the last 4 years!!! Plus, the year before, they got a split title. Most great coaches win ONE championship if they are fortunate. In about 7 years (sound right Smokin?), Pete Carroll (giant tool that he is) has produced 3 Heisman winners, 3 national championships, and most likely 5 consecutive shots at a title (got to be a record). Chance to be a legend, instead fail again as a mediocre NFL coach.
  20. Disclaimer: Despite the ND in my username, I have no great love for Brady Quinn. He has faults, and Weis has had much to do with his performance. Additionally, I am 100% against drafting him. Having said that, I gots a couple beefs... 1. If you are basing your knowledge of Quinn (or anyone) off of one game, then your opinion of him is about as worthwhile as Willis990's. 2. If you have in fact seen more of Quinn than last week, then I have trouble seeing how you could possibly say he lacks poise and confidence. I'm not sure what big plays he let his team down on in the USC game (he can't catch the balls he throws and he can't block pass rushers). If you want to see what kind of poise he has "when his team needs him the most," I suggest you check out the MSU game when he rallied the team from 19 down in the fourth. Or the UCLA game when he made a great play to get Samardzija the ball for the winning TD with 1:00 left. He has weaknesses, but lack of confidence and poise ain't on that list. 3. He will "make it" in the NFL. He's the most 'pro-ready' QB in the draft and he will have a career.
  21. Yeah, seriously. If people think that professional athletes don't care about what they wear, then I'd suggest taking note of the various accessories worn in many sports. Hell, Ben Wallace is basically saying that he wouldn't have signed with the Bulls this year if he had known he couldn't wear a headband. But who knows if the players like them or not? I'd hope they look in the mirror and see that they look like a giant bruise and that blue on blue looks terrible. But who knows?
  22. Where did you get a white throwback? I would have gotten my Willis one in white last year if I had the choice.
