  1. 5 BCS games, 1 spread within a TD. Louisville -9.5 Wake Oklahoma -8.5 Boise State LSU -9 ND Michigan -1.5 USC Ohio State -8 Florida They seem about right though...I could have seen LSU by 10 or 11, but that would have moved real quick. Also could have seen UL by 10+. I like Ohio State giving 8 and possibly Louisville. REALLY, REALLY like Arkansas -1 v. Wisconsin. And while this pains me, Rutgers -7 K State is tempting. K State basically made their season in one game...they lost every other shot they had at a decent school. 4-4 in the Big XII JV/North? Loss to Baylor? Guess Vegas hates on the Big East too...
  2. Pujols taking it back? I don't think it was that big of a deal to begin with, but I really can't possibly see how what he says now makes sense. Pujols "I never said he didn't deserve the MVP. He is deserving of that award." vs. one week ago: "I see it this way: Someone who doesn't take his team to the playoffs doesn't deserve to win the MVP." I think he was just trying to go back on it. If he had been healthy all year, he would have won.
  3. Why would you want a washed up RB who dances too much?
  4. Playoffs or not, there is not another 5-7 or 6-6 team I'd rather trade places with in terms of future hope. I can't remember a time that I felt that way about a Bills team with a losing record this late into the season. I don't love all of Jauron's moves and the team has a few major holes, but things seem to be on the upswing.
  5. Though, I'm surprised Hochuli had the energy to stick anything in anyone's ass after he bent us over all afternoon.
  6. I might be in the minority, but I think Gates was the deciding factor. LT will get his every game, no doubt. He had a great 1st half with a long TD and some other amazing runs. But Gates made things look just as easy. The TD right before halftime was a kiler and he made it look like a practice route. The 3rd down catch he made at the beginning of the Chargers' final drive was clutch. I'm obviously not saying that he is more valuable than LT...no one is. But we shut down LT for the entire 2nd half save the last drive and it was Gates who made back breaking catches. He was the safety valve that prevented Rivers from having a dismal outing.
  7. Oh no doubt. I was just listing a few very attainable goals for the defense that would move them into the average range. Couple that with a (hopefully) blossoming secondary that could give us a good pass defense, and we should be fine. If our run defense was 15-20 and our pass top 10, then we will have no problem.
  8. I actually think they were worse last year. Last year they finished 31st in yards allowed, but this year they are allowing 4.8 per rush. It is putrid. I remember the days when Pat Williams and Ted Washington would take offense if any RB got over 100 yds in any game. Now it seems the norm for about 2.5 quarters...or in last weeks case, 1 quarter. But that is what you get with DTs who can't stop the run and a LB corp with only 1 healthy LB. I think things will change a lot for the better if: 1. Takeo returns to at least 90% of what he was 2. Fletch is re-signed and doesn't have a fall off. 3. Crowell comes back okay. 4. McCargo works out ok (I know he is a pass rusher, but rotating talent always helps). 5. We pick up a DT in early draft or FA.
  9. That is awesome! Fck Spurrier...another reason to hate that tool.
  10. Reason 43 was hyperbole...I actually can only think of two, but they were both good ones. Yeah, there is only one tree farm near us that sold really big trees, but as the years went on, the pickens got slim. We'd often pick one that was up against another tree so it was completely dead on one side. Tuck that thing in a corner and who knows the difference. In fact, we actually began cutting off the back branches so that it wouldn't stick out 6-7 feet from the wall. Ya do what you gotta do.
  11. Never did. Not something I would brag about, but again, who said that? 25 year old washed up? Maybe, I don't think so. He can dance all he wants against the Jets if it gets him another 150 yds.
  12. I have no doubt that the Jets will be tough, but their track record against Willis is less than inspiring. 37-132 28-143 22-113 26-150 He basically average 135 yds. per game and 4.7 per carry when he plays your team. This doesn't mean we will win, but your man Vilma is about 0-4 in this battle.
  13. I think that was a lot less obvious than 2 of the calls that went against us today. I guess I was thinking about more in quantity of bad calls than quality. Making a bad call in the 1st quarter vs. in the final seconds is equally as incompetent. It's not like the refs suddenly get more attentive after the two minute warning. I mean the Raiders game that same year was terrible and the Patriots' "unconscious out of bounds possession" was really bad, but yesterday seemed like a mess all around.
  14. If Willis ever needed the perfect team to get back into a groove...
  15. Our problem was always that we got huge trees (15+) and because they were scarce, usually we had to pick one with one side that looked like dogsht. So spinning the thing around wasn't really an option. Hence, starting at the bottom reason #43
  16. I hope she was crying because she heard the sex tape is definitely being released.
  17. I think this guy is pretty funny actually.
  18. Whenever I'm watching the end of a close game somewhere and there is an onside kick opportunity, I pretty much change the channel. Our special teams unit and their suicide onside kicks are sweet. I just get the feeling that everytime we line up for one of those that it's 50/50. I hope Bobby April stays with this club for a long time.
  19. I'd love to remember the game in the last 5 years when the refs were worse than this one. In fact, I've love for you to remind me of the nine other ones you are thinking of...
  20. This coming from the guy who used to start a thread everytime a thought popped into his head. You used to be (and for the most part still are) exactly like LSI Cadets. Except that LSI seems like he needs to take the Bills a little less seriously.
  21. Unless this intended as a joke, then...lame. But if you were sadly being serious, I think it is nice how you chose the one game since the opener where Spikes made several good plays to start your rant.
  22. Bottom. I don't get the arguments about not being able to make the top look right. If you are using the same lights you use every year, then consider this idea: Rememeber how long the strand is so you have enough for the whole tree to look right. I think the mental image of someone puting up their lights for the 13th year and ending up two feet short is hilarious. And if you don't have "old" or "unique" lights, then if you do run out, try this idea (it's multi-stepped): 1. Locate $4 2. Locate car keys 3. Locate K-Mart 4. Locate more lights 5. You can take it from here I think Starting at the bottom is the only way you can ensure that the strand will end as the absolute closest point to the socket.
